Rangers fans new song
a "flawed" genius like so many other wonderfully talented footballers. Didnt meet him on this occasion, but the minibus we took down to the ICT V Rangers cup game at Tannadice did happen to drive alongside his Range Rover on our way out of Dundee and he certainly knew there was a full moon (or several) that evening if you know what i mean. To his credit, he laughed, smiled and gave all the lads a thumbs up. He has also done a lot of charity work in between his moments of acting like a knob so I do have sympathy for him and hope he can exorcise his demons and recover from whatever caused this most recent episode. Considering this picture was taken when he was 38, its scary how old he looks !

:015: - can picture it now .... He's running down the wing, cuts inside at the corner flag and suddenly a solitary voice booms out from the north stand .... "Hey ya ginger tawt, nice to see ya again ...." and the poor lad thinks "Oh #@$%, not that eejit from Chorley again, he's stalking me" before packing his bags and getting out of town as quickly as he can :015: :015:

dont think Deano has been given the chance to "impress" in the ICT setup - seems to have done ok in the reserves but not a whiff at a place in the first team !

Who's happy?
As with every single year ICT have been in existence, I am happy with some things and unhappy with others ... The items are usually the same (team, management, performances, communication from club, PR, stadium infrastructure etc etc etc) they just keep changing from the happy column to the unhappy column depending on which season it is !!! As to this season - While its galling to lose some of the games we have, especially losing goals in the early minutes, I am not overly concerned about how our season is going on the park. Off the park is a different matter and there have been a number of things that have given cause for concern such as the way CC felt obliged to resign, the breaking of our wage budget, several PR blunders by the club and just a general feeling that this is no longer the club it was in terms of taking care of, or even considering the needs and wants of, its customers - the fans. For some reason, I am also quite angry that we seem to be treating Barry Wilson as a bit of a leper. I had always thought that Barry would be allowed to hang up his boots and then be assimilated into some training or other role within the club. We know he is coming to the end of his playing career, but I cant help feeling we are making a mistake if we do get rid of him - especially in the middle of his testimonial season which feels like a bit of a slap in the face ! This is not new however, and I have always thought we made a similar mistake when we let Mike Teasdale go. Mike was one of those players who was personable to all and at the time I personally hoped he would be given some role in the PR/Marketing of the club or as fan liason or something like that as he was always trotted out to speak to people and was very willing to go to fan events or take part in online chatroom sessions and stuff like that where he could interact with fans. On the plus side, I would say that it looks like we might be preparing for next season a lot earlier than normal and in other places than just Dingwall. With some contracts as yet unsigned and other "surplus" players likely to leave the club at the end of the season, the news that we have this Man Utd lad on trial is good news whichever way you dice it. We may or may not sign the lad but at least we are looking further afield than across the bridge for new players and we are doing it early enough that there may actually be some gems out there that we can snap up ! Next season will make or break Brewster. Although we arent mathematically safe from relegation yet, I think we all assume that Gretna will go down either because they will get less points than anyone else or because of their stadium situation. Next year will likely be a lot different because we will not have that cushion. Whichever team comes up will want to emulate ourselves, Falkirk, St Mirren etc and stay in the SPL for as long as they can. I can see Killie struggling too but before a ball is kicked, the promoted team, ourselves and the other three I mentioned will all be candidates for the drop so I hope my happiness with Brewster's apparent early preparations translate into happiness throughout the 08/09 season !

At the end of the day it sounds like we are taking a sensible approach ..... He has been told that he will be released by Man Utd at the end of the season and I am assuming we cannot sign him as its outside the window so we are having a good long look at his capabilities before making a decision that would only be finalised come the end of the season. As Kingsmills has said .... we have also been able to turn round some players whose careers may have stagnated or gone in the wrong direction so here's hoping he is lightning fast, has some skill and we get the benefit. For every Bajram Fetai out there, lets remember there is also an Anthony Stokes !!!

Help on listening to game tonight??
Hearts V Rangers is on normal radio (MW only) All other games are ONLINE ONLY for UK listeners. If you are lucky you just might get the DUFC V St Mirren game outside the UK as its the only one where neither team has blocking in place for their games. Hearts V Rangers (blocked outside UK by both) Celtic V ICT (blocked outside UK by Celtic) Aberdeen V Motherwell (blocked outside UK by Aberdeen) Falkirk V Hibs (blocked outside UK by Falkirk) Gretna V Kilmarnock (blocked outside UK by Kilmarnock) Dundee Utd V St Mirren - should not be blocked as neither team invoke that right [attach=1]

Media Coverage of ICT
:rotflmao: - you are the last person I would expect to say that ....... they made a "sensational scandal" from a humorous jibe on your site - and then got it wrong by blaming this site LOL ! Wasn't that the Highland News ? North Star I believe (ie. any other paper) [attach=1] ICTChris.jpg_thumb

Help on listening to game tonight??
It should be available on the BBC for listeners in the UK. If (like me) you are overseas, then there will be no legitimate way to listen to or view coverage

Martin Taylor - accident or scumbag ?
Youtube seem to be taking the links down as quickly as they are going up. copyright claims by Arsenal or "NetResult" or removed by user on all that are currently found when searching !!!

Martin Taylor - accident or scumbag ?
Arsenal's Eduardo Da Silva suffered a horrendous leg break today in their game against Birmingham. A few photos can be seen here [ http://scotzine.com/blog/?p=185 ] but SKY have said they will not show the video footage and Arsene Wenger called for Taylor - who was instantly red carded - to be banned for the game for life ...... your thoughts ?

Brewster's team selections
compared to the other night - yes, me too ..... but only if players are in their natural positions !!!! If you cant do that then why leave someone like Barry Wilson languising in the reserves. You pick the BEST team you can, not the best team out of your mates !
-
Brewster's team selections
not sure ... hasnt been mentioned but commentators may have got it wrong when they mentioned he was on the right !

Surely it couldn't happen?
Tuesday 11th March @ 7:45pm ..... but I think its immaterial now .... its pretty clear from both the rules and from mutterings within the game that if the worst were to happen all results would be declared void.

Baz Leaving ICT
A good move for Barry as he obviously still wants to play every week, but a bad move for ICT as far as I am concerned. Barry is still an SPL quality player. He may not be a 90 minute player these days, but he is one of the few who could come off the bench, or play for the first hour and turn the game in our favour. I also thought loans were not allowed after the window but if this is true then it is a shocking way to treat a player who is destined for the ICT "Hall of Fame" in the middle of what is his testimonial season.
