  1. The press release that we added to the site earlier today was sent by the club. Please direct all queries to [email protected]
  2. just like to say that was absolutely feckin terrible .......... not the match ... but having to rely on Sky Sports ticker and BBC live text for updates ... while they are OK, they are nowhere near as good as actually being able to listen to the match over the web via the Radio Scotland site but two problems with that tonight .... 1 - I am at work and streaming audio is blocked by our firewall, and 2 - yet another game blanked out to listeners overseas. Was literally bouncing on my seat as Bayne's goal came up on text and think the whole building heard me shout 'feck' when Lovell equalised. Going by the live text commentary on BBC site it looked fairly even - what say those of you who were lucky enough to be there or see it / hear it on TV/Radio ?
  3. chatroom is in the members area - click MEMBERS AREA on the menu on the left.
  4. 3 corners and a shot on goal for ICT (free kick blocked by Foster) so far according to BBC .... although they do have Aberdeen with 56% possesion With the exception of Caff and Fraser it is interesting to note the attacking nature of our subs too
  5. Lineups ICT [attach=2] ABERDEEN [attach=1] [attachment deleted by admin]
  6. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: - can picture you sitting there with a bright red face ... classic
  7. According to the Scotsman Pele is hoping to raid both ICT and the Dons for players to help Peterhead progress : http://sport.scotsman.com/football.cfm?id=1641012006 PETERHEAD manager Steve Paterson is hoping to raid former clubs Aberdeen and Inverness Caledonian Thistle after kicking off his new job with a 4-2 defeat at Morton ..... "The play offs are a realistic target," said Paterson despite the defeat, "and I will use my contacts with Aberdeen and Inverness to get players." Who if anyone do you think we will lose or who might be destined for a loan spell out east ?
  8. think the moaning may have confirmed to the club that there is a desire for a newsletter. I am sure Fiona will try to get it up and running ASAP. We do have the facility to do one on this site too - if anyone is interested :004: - see under the members section link on left
  9. OK - I gotta stick up for the club a little on this one. Given my role when this site was official, I was allowed to hear some of the plans for the new site as it was developing. The provision of newsletters and text alerts has always been on the agenda. However, as we all know, the new site is being done in phases and phase one was to get the site up and running and working the way they wanted. Phase two (which they are now entering) will include the provision of new feratures including these things - I had a quick word with Fiona about this and she tells me that this is one of the reasons that 'registration' has been turned on on the site. See the link below (after registering and signing in) http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...~923182,00.html?
  10. Oh I dunno ... I took this picture in Houston a few years back. [attach=1] [attachment deleted by admin]
  11. Apart from winning it myself - this is one of the few weeks I recognise the names of any of the winners :004: Colin from the Innes and Robert from the computer centre both won prizes this week. http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...~922780,00.html
  12. Discovered this wee nugget while looking at NewsNow ........ seems the search for youth talent is not restricted to the Highlands and has stretched as far as Cornwall. 'Teenager Andy Jones is swapping playing for Liskeard Athletic for a place in a Scottish Premier League team. The 17-year-old secured himself an 18-month contract with Inverness Caledonian Thistle after Liskeard manager Dave Leonard contacted a host of clubs to tell them about his talent. Andy spent a week at the top-flight club – currently sitting in fourth place in the division – to convince bosses he was worthy of a professional contract. Mr Leonard, who coached Andy between the ages of ten and 12, said: ‘This is marvellous both for him and the club.’ LINK: http://www.looe-today.co.uk/today/options/...il.cfm?id=32468
  13. Tremendous news. Well done Charlie. Thoroughly deserved.
  14. You can get the same form table on this site you know :010: - go to league table page and can set the dropdowns to show it :004:
  15. would be surprised if the SPL didnt issue an edict about this in the first place. It is often said that there are too many 'minutes of silence' but I dont think anyone can really argue against this one.
  16. Doesnt matter what division we were in, or what season it was, we have always been a far better team when playing the ball on the deck and passing it around
  17. saw the thread title and thought CaleyD was up to something :015: :015: I like Chibber's 3-4-3, very daring even if it is highly unlikely that CC will go for it !!! If he did, I would pick Hart in place of Duncan. Based on recent performances, Richie is playing better. However, I think we will line up in a familiar fashion ..... Brown Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Hart Rankin McBain Dargo Bayne I would like to see Zander get a run-out as he seems to be a very exciting player and perhaps Denzil might also get an opportunity at some stage.

    PELE

... or in lay-bys (in Cooper's case) :015: :015: But seriously, good luck to both. Spoke to Cooper a few times when he was at County - bizarrely enough, one of them was an ICT event in a marquee at the TCS - and despite his bad choice of team to manage, he seemed a decent enough chap. Its taken a long time, but I think I have finally forgiven Paterson enough to be able to wish him well in his new job. I have focussed on all the good he did at the club before he left rather than the method of his departure and the good memories certainly outweigh the bad ones.
  19. Yup - and he wasnt mentioned when they said DUFC had parted company with Malky and Brew
  20. L_G - I am assuming of course that you have booked the photographer :016: .... we have loads of space in the gallery for anyone who wants to submit pictures of fans gathering at any event not just this one :003:

    PELE

I agree. The prospect of Cooper/Paterson seems quite a good one. Good luck to them.
  22. mmmm ..... let me see .... try the menu on the left FOOTY FOCUS > SQUAD and then set the dropdowns to suit. Dargo / Wilson closest to suspension on 4
  23. The sound you hear is your complaint falling on deaf ears ......
  24. Refreshingly honest .... has he been reading some of our users comments on this site I wonder :024: :024:
  25. I dont think the problem at United has really been the managers, it has been a combination of the manager as well as the people above and below ie. include the Chairman and the Players too. The chairman - ET is notorious for being impatient with all his managers - you cant really argue that point after so many managers in so few seasons. He needs to step back from the edge and let his manager (whoever it is that week) get on with the job. No manager can concentrate on the job in hand if he has to keep looking over his shoulder every 5 minutes to see what the chairman is saying or doing. The Players - McCall brought in a few highly paid individual players and that is what they remained - individuals. The players have to shoulder a fair bit of blame for turning up for work but not putting in performances they were capable of. Its a long time since DUFC were a 'team' in the way that ICT, St Mirren or Falkirk are. Whilst I have no love for the Buddies or the Bairns, it looks like the time spent by all three teams in the SFL have helped nurture a team spirit and a work ethic that have seen them all look safe from being relegation fodder in any of the last 3 seasons while DUFC have looked like it every season no matter who was in charge. Maybe a spell in Division 1 will help some of the players come back down to earth ? The Manager(s) - We should perhaps give Brewster a little credit for getting rid of some of the overpaid guys that had come in before he went to DUFC, but his naivety shone very brightly when he couldnt replace them and then seemed fixated on bringing several players from ICT instead of looking at what was also available elsewhere when we refused. The upshot was that in the end, he signed virtually nobody. I think the DUFC job may have been too much too soon in terms of the size of challenge he was ready for, especially with an impatient chairman, and he may prosper under the watchful eye of Leish at Dunfermline. Levein : I hope he knows what he has let himself in for ? He didnt relish the thought of a meddling chairman when he left Hearts, will this job be any different ? His pedigree for the Hearts job came from a good spell in charge at Cowdenbeath, and he hasnt really done that much at any other club he has managed. Lets not forget that McCall was also a successfull manager at - then Division 1 - Falkirk on a shoestring budget and was seen as a saviour, and we all know how that ended. I wish him luck, but fear he is going to need a **** of a lot more than that.
