  2. I think jokes would be part of the light hearted portion of AG just as it is now Connie. There needs to be a bit of balance. We could theoretically have sub forums all over the place but that would undoubtedly lead to much confusion and possibly arguments as to where something should be posted, but if splitting a forum into two or more distinct sections makes sense we will consider it. Although this is a football forum, we are happy to have sections like anything goes for people to discuss other stuff that may not be football related and the idea of making separate sections for "sensible" or "serious" subjects within the anything goes forum and then have another for the light hearted stuff seems to make sense. It was a similar comment that led us to create the "memories" section for those who wanted to discuss Inverness in years gone by. Keep the ideas coming - we wont promise that any or all will be included, but if they make sense then we will certainly consider them.
  3. not a bad idea actually. we are about to move to new forum software in the next couple of weeks (or so) and we may incorporate this idea and look to have a couple of sub-forums inside AG. one for serious and one light hearted postings ....
  4. I feel a little sorry for County and Dunfermline as it sounds like a paperwork issue that could be resolved quite easily, but not so much for Dundee as theirs was because they didnt have the personnel in place to satisfy the requirements. Having said that, all of this is contained in the club licensing documentation and clubs know what they are supposed to have in place and when it is to be in place so exactly why they are "raging" or saying "We will take this to the highest courts in the land" is a little beyond belief as it is their own fault and not the fault of the SFA. If you could say anything about the SFA it would be that they are perhaps being too rigid in applying the rules and should allow the clubs a grace period in which to comply.
  5. I am with the claretfan on this one. 1 incident [LINK] does not define a whole set of supporters regardless of how tragic the consequences were. There have been similar incidents throughout world football, and I have heard of a few serious assaults or worse after every OF game, even between supporters watching in pubs in places like Inverness ... just not all have such wide reaching consequences as a death. Testosterone and Alcohol can be a dangerous mix regardless of which scarf you are wearing !!!
  6. Castro (a husband and wife team) were dentists there .... Mr Castro was a regular dentist, Mrs Castro was an orthodontist. He's the guy who used to work on my teeth without anaesthetic because I had a fear of needles ..... thank goodness that fear is now long gone.
  7. see caption competition 1 on the AG board.

  11. more like [attach=1] you need a few more lessons from IHE if you think that was a successful bite. anyhoo, I am bored now, off to watch some paint dry.
  12. so am I ............. :004:
  13. lets not split hairs .... if you say that Joe Bloggs would be a good player for ICT then as far as I am concerned that is not a rumour, it is an opinion and should therefore be in the non-ict board as the player would currently have no connection to ICT. If however there is a rumour already floating round that Joe Bloggs (who might well be a good player for ICT) is interested in coming here or that Craig Brewster is interested in him then it is a rumour and can be posted in here. As and when rumours are confirmed (or debunked) then they can be moved to the relevant board (ICT or non-ICT) I will discuss the posting of non-ict rumours in this forum privately with CaleyD and the mod team and if necessary change the forum description or clarify the notice above. The description of this board does say "A place to discuss the latest football rumours doing the rounds (whether they are Caley Thistle related or not)" and this may have caused some confusion (to mods and members alike) as to what can be posted in here. As far as I am concerned, when I created this particular section, I was of the opinion that bonafide rumours about players who might come to or depart from ICT are valid as are rumours about other high profile players in SPL or world football going elsewhere. However what is not valid is discussing opinions as to whether this player or that player would be good for ICT when there is no rumour involved ... that should be in non-ict. At the end of the day, the posting guidelines are just that ... guidelines !!! and we ask posters to use common sense to try and post things in the relevant forum. We may let some posts slide, we may not even see them (I dont read every single thread ... especially after a week's holidays), we may move others, it just depends on our interpretation of how valid a thread is in the forum its posted in.
  14. :blah01: to both of you !!!
  15. Cuba was excellent will tell you all about it when we are next over .... the highlight was swimming with the dolphins.
  16. ..... too busy creating next season's site ..... too busy enjoying the weather and alcohol in Cuba .... and swimming with Dolphins too :001:
  17. Very MLS-like .... many teams had similar design last season, but only Houston kept it this season ... and who supplies MLS .... thats right, Adidas :004: [attach=1][attach=2]
  18. I was actually supporting the club RiG !!! You said - "oops, I forgot tomorrow was the deadline" Angela said - "we tried to phone people who might have forgotten that tomorrow is the deadline" Just making the point that the club were being pro-active ... and using the Aberdeen comment to back up what the next complaint would be if they didnt do it !!!
  19. I like your style, and even some of your ideas, but there are a few problems with your perfect world scenario. see comments in red !
  20. not sure why but i have a feeling that Zadi might do ok with us. I can see that this signing might also give Brewster some options. Many of us bitched about McGuire, but if Zadi does ok on the left then Richard could move inside and challenge McGuire for the central defensive role. This is a role that he has played very well for Canada in the last 12 months or so (and with some degree of leadership - especially in the Gold Cup final - I might add). With Proctor also able to cover a couple of positions we may ultimately end up with what appears to be an unispiring defence on paper, but one that is quite flexible in terms of tactics or injury cover. As for his performances ... he has made none for ICT yet .... lets judge him when he has !!! As others have said ... Darren Dods didnt exactly come to ICT with a glowing CV, but he ended up captain and the rock at the heart of the defence.
  21. Think these quotes sum up this thread ......
  22. That was slightly different I think Scarlet .... that was related to the fact that we currently use two pieces of software (forum / main website) which handled the change to the clocks differently and was getting confused for users outside the UK. In your case it was exacerbated by the fact that UK and Canadian clocks changed on different dates .... The new system will not have a website login, only a forum login and it seems to handle timeshifts quite easily. However, as others have said above, if you actively delete cookies then no amount of tinkering this end will sort it as your login preference is stored in a cookie file on your machine. If you are hugely concerned about cookies and want to continue doing this, then you might want to invest in a password manager program such as roboform which can store all your passwords, bookmarks etc and log you in automatically when you go to a website.
