  1. In a word ... Money. Being Bronze directly impacts the amount of money received from the SFA compared to being assessed as Silver. You get the rating of your lowest criteria and without a named SLO you cant get silver. The document is worth a read as it gives you an idea of where/how the criteria are applied, not just in this area but in loads more. (attached for convenience) In terms of this thread, it is simple, scottish-fa-club-licensing-manual-2018.pdf
  2. indeed ...... But if a private response is not received soon, you may very well be able to judge for yourself publicly.
  3. care to explain the last part of your comment?

  5. First they would have to establish communication with us to figure that out. We are more than happy to do so, and have been with every group of officials and staff for the last 25 years, but my emails to the CEO on other matters currently go unanswered. Single email address but multiple people involved behind the scenes instead of one according to the article .... It appears to be a workable solution, but given the current lack of communication from the stadium it sounds more like plausible deniability for everyone involved in this instance ! One of the unknown 'multiple people' responsible will be apportioned blame and thrown under the bus, to be replaced by another unknown person (or possibly the same one !)
  6. good result .... icing on the cake for me was arriving at the TFC game later that day and seeing 3 guys in the seats next to mine (father and two twenty-something sons). They are not regulars in those seats and must have bought the tickets from the usual season ticket holders on the ticket exchange. Got talking to them and they usually go to a different section of the ground, one son was a Celtic fan, the other a Man U fan but the dad was a Partick fan !! Had to rub it in just a little bit

yes, thats the one thats meant. It was shared about an hour after that post was made here ! Definitely worthwhile to fill it in though regardless of where you heard about it ?
  10. Daily Record & Sun have published more info https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/ross-county-suspend-youth-coach-13244657 https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/3208066/ross-county-childrens-coach-charlie-mcphee-suspended-indecent-messages-police/ Just so everyone remembers - we have to tread very carefully in discussion subjects where there is police involvement. At this point, no charges have been laid and any posts that go too far, talk about things not in the public domain, or comment on aspects of any case that are subject to the police investigation will be removed from view.
  11. Saw the news last night when Bill McAllister posted it to his facebook feed . Sad news indeed.

I know Stevie Hislop used to check us out ... he didnt like Mantis' comments about the way he walked and had a "full and frank discussion" with me about it at least twice There's a fair few players, former players and officials registered and lurking with odd ones participating. Based on conversations I have had I know there are just as many who say "I dont go there, its always so negative" although sometimes not so politely !!! Each to their own I suppose. I have long since stopped being bothered about who posters are, its more important what they say !

we have usually allowed groups to create additional official accounts to post things in an official manner. I think there is a CaleyJagsTogether account that can be renamed and used for this purpose.
  14. We are happy to work with the club in any manner that will enhance communication with the fans. Sadly, I don't think that will be reciprocated.

I think I see both sides here CMIB ... I am a bit like you too albeit even further away. The day to day stuff and the engagement have less effect on either of us given the distance involved. I am not sure if the supporter survey talked about in another thread covers this eventuality but I am guessing the relevance of engagement as a factor in your decision to attend games drops off exponentially in relation to distance away from the club. We will still turn up to watch a game as and when we can because we have to make all sorts of arrangements to get there in the first place. In my case I obviously have to have flights, car hire, accommodation and nowadays I also have to keep an eye on school holidays for my little guy which is going to make things more difficult after this year. Although our trips are ostensibly to visit family, I would be lying if I did not confess to checking the fixture list out of the corner of my eye when my wife is talking about possible dates and maybe moving things a few days here and there to see if I can fit more games in !!! I also seldom visit between June and August when there is no footie !! However, I know engagement, presence and interaction can and do matter to those in and around Inverness (like OCG) . When that engagement and fan interaction is non-existent, as it currently is (and has been at points in the past also) then that absolutely has a detrimental effect on the perception and affinity most normal people have for their club. You still support it, but in many cases you feel they only speak to you when they want something (usually from your pocket). It wont stop you attending games or buying merchandise or anything else but you don't get that same warm and fuzzy feeling you normally do when it feels like we are all in it together (as it did after our first relegation). I do hope they sort themselves out communication wise. They are currently going backwards and it is painful to watch !
  16. Its dead in the water. Whats left on here is simply an archive. We have plenty of 'site space' so no need to delete it. This was a Kenny Cameron initiative many years ago at two different times. Once with just us and once when it was supposed to run in conjunction with both us and the Courier. There are no plans (on our side) to revive it. It was always a challenge to get already overworked staff at the stadium to try and answer those questions and nowadays with Twitter/Facebook feeds many of these question do get asked and hopefully some also get answered.

  18. You can have a debate about stadium ownership but its still not clear how much of the stadium we currently 'own' as confirmation of the deal to bring the stands back to club ownership does not appear to be published anywhere, all articles I have read say its close to a deal, but none say its done and dusted. However, the larger factor is that we own none of the land that the stadium sits on. It is leased from the council on a 99 year lease which has probably about 76 years to run if my math is correct (we moved in in 1996 but i think we signed the lease in 95). If the deal did go through for Tulloch to gift the stands back to ICT, part of that deal was that they retained the 'ownership' of the lease on everything else outside the footprint of the actual stadium buildings (car parks and surrounding area). They agreed to allow the club access to those car parks "for the foreseeable future" whatever that means .... so really we dont have much to offer any potential developer ! certainly not enough to finance a new stadium build. If the deal has not gone through then its a moot point as we would have no ownership or control over any of the land. https://www.ictfc.com/news/club-news/2082-significant-milestone-for-ictfc-as-tulloch-agrees-transfer-of-stadium-lease https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-42412584

  20. has always been this way .... I was on the committee of the Inverness & District Amateur FA for a few years with big George Davidson at the helm and when it came to disciplinary matters we were forced to impose decisions based on guidelines from the Scottish Amateur FA who are ultimately governed by the SFA. We tried to do things on a common sense basis most of the time but I lost count of the number of times where we made a decision, thought it was fair based on circumstances, then sent the findings to the SAFA only for them to reject it and send it back for us to impose harsher penalties. 5 and 10 game bans were common as were season long bans for individuals. Given that teams were amateur the fines were also draconian and caused hardship and in some cases for teams to fold. It was after my time but the IDAFA eventually broke away from the SAFA and this was one of several reasons for it. The only reason I came up with at the time for the behaviour of the SAFA was 'little man syndrome'. These were guys who - like their counterparts in the SFA - just wanted to be in charge and flex their muscles. They could not do it to the big guys, even at amateur level where there are some 'big' teams, so they went after those who had the least opportunity to strike back. Seems like they treat the non-league and semi-professional teams the same way.
  21. Guess it doesnt matter since neither are playing or on the bench !!!
  22. added it in the first post as requested. will add it to future matchday threads for home games
  23. FIFA has removed corruption from the ethics code as an offence and replaced it with a new defamation offence for those that speak out. You could not make this **** up !!! https://globalnews.ca/news/4386347/fifa-drops-corruption-code-of-ethics/
  24. for those posting "Longridge" in Gringo's NPL as the first pars scorer .... you may want to go back and edit your post before kick off to make it clear. Dunfermline have two players of that name in their squad - Louis and Jackson and both have scored this season.
