PC TWIT! Cast your mind back a few decades, there were more mind altering substances on the go and those taking them weren't aware of the risks. Today we are all aware. Whatever happened to the freedom our grandparents fought for. People in the FSU states have far more freedom than we've had for decades. I suspect that many folk don't know the risks that they take today when they are taking mind altering substances. a few decades ago you could be pretty sure what was in what you were taking and still many people have ended up with drug-induced psychosis. these days you have absolutely no idea what's in what you are taking. as hyslopsoffsideagain says if you saw what effects these drugs have on mental and physical health of folk.... he's seen it from the Newcraigs side - and if you were to see the staff in ICU in raigmore and other hospitals battling to save the lives of young people week in week out who have taken goodness knows what stuff thinking it wouldn't happen to them....

Supporters Direct Annual Conference June 30
Supporters Direct, the umbrella organisation for the Supporters Trust movement are holding their annual conference on Saturday June 30 in Glasgow. the board of the ICT Trust wants to extend an invitation to any 'central belter' ICT Trust members to attend this year's conference. As yet the programme for the day has not been released but these meetings are generally very informative as to what is happening within the football world, the trust movement and is a great opportunity to learn what other trusts throughout Scotland are doing. if anyone 'down south' is interested in attending please pm me. maybe admin could make this a sticky?? thanks

Who was your favourite ICT Player
it's funny when threads like this start and you get the thinking hat on... there have been so many good players for our team it's really hard to single one out but i guess for me in no particular order would be.... Jimmy Tokes Bobby Barry Mike T Paul - Ritchie Sheerin and Cherry Iain Stewart Herch and who could forget the runs down the wing of Wilson Robertson and the dead ball specialist Brian Thompson.. this list is not exhaustive nor exclusive!!

SINGING SECTION MEETING
indeed thanks IHE. at present we do not know the outcome of the club's investigations but we are continually reminding them that there are folk who are needing to know the outcome and these people are the ones that were more involved than those of us who were watching from the sidelines. there will be some things which could be posted on the Trust website at the end of all this but there will be some things that we may not be able to but the people who were affected most will know. one thing the meeting must NOT do is degenerate in to a slanging match - that benefits no one. at the end up what we need to do is to move on from this and hold a reasonable discussion about what happened, why, what can be done to prevent it happening again and what we do in the future. football, and standing and singing at games, is a hugely emotive subject and one thing i would like to see come out of this is for our young (and not so young) supporters being given strategies on how to deal with confrontational situations to help avoid them blowing out of proportion and ending up in ejection. and flower you know you can question the trust any time...

Supporters Trust Meeting and Forum
The Supporter's Trust are holding their half yearly meeting in the Caley Club on Thursday night 24 May 2007 at 7.30pm. As usual we will be having a forum which should be very interesting this year with one of the participants being a member of the SPL's disciplinary board. The trust board will bring you up to date with what's been happening this year so far and events in the pipeline. All members welcome and bring a friend.

Supporters' Trust Statement No 2
Agree with that Laura but perhaps its time all Trusts got together and lobbied the SPL to have this rule changed. Personally I believe that a dedicated standing/singing area, limited to about 300, at every ground would not present any significant safety/crowd control problems. The SPL made the rules and we've seen that these rules are changeable, i.e reducing ground capacity requirements from 10k to 6k, so lets see them give consideration to the customer and change this one. Alex can i say that the trust movement took this on board a couple of years ago. we were asked to look at what were the important issues that fans wanted to look at and if i remember correctly top of the bill was ticketing prices. at the moment i'm not sure what stage things are with safe standing but i will find out where it sits on the agenda. one thing's for sure, there is a supporters trust conference at the begining of june which we hope we can attend and it will certainly be brought up there in some shape or form. prob also chat about policing and stewarding too... :004:

Supporters' Trust Statement No 2
Not doubting the accuracy of your info LG - but how is this possible if, as you said in an earlier post "it is clearly stated in the SPL Ground Rules that standing in an all seated stadium is forbidden" ? Either it is allowed and anyone can establish a section like this or it is not allowed and Rangers are not only breaking but also flouting the rules. If they do allow a sizeable proportion of their fans to stand I would think they might be the first club to support the notion of adjusting this rule ... anything else would be hypocritical in the extreme. i think you'll find that over the past season they have not been allowed to stand all the time and this has caused some disquiet in that section with fans thrown out every week. they have the same issues as us in that the away fans of some clubs (green and red to nearly name 2). i suspect that we would have the support of certainly this half of the old firm but also the rest of the spl. what does seem to happen is that there is sensible stewarding and policing at some grounds. we experienced it ourselves at hib with both home and away fans standing throughout the game with no problems.

Supporters Club 'do'
not long home and it was a smashing night. all the first team were there and all the coaching staff too... big thanks to them all for making the effort. there were loads of young kids there who were just over the moon to meet their heros! given that it was a week night there was a tremendous turnout from the supporters but fingers crossed for next year... there was a short question and answer session (cats and tongues spring to mind..) but the younger half of Us2 kicked it off by asking Craig was he going to stay or go... Craig - ever the diplomat - said he would be making the decision at the end of the season... so a week to wait. and well done the young one for not embarrassing your mother! charlie gave a wee chat and thanked the team for their efforts this year and wished Darren all the best at his new club :007: the ssshhhh! :music01: ssshhhh! was mentioned and it was viewed favourably if you know what i mean.... not to much was said about the recent past but... :004: charlie is all in favour of anything that will improve the atmosphere at the ground.... the caleyjags.com award went to graham and was presented by young callum ferguson the caleythistleonline one to Barry and presented by Caley100 who also gave barry a bottle of grecian 2000! the supporters club one went to grant. peter was there taking photos so i'm sure they'll be up on cj.com as soon as.... a big thank you to all those who came tonight - it really was good fun and shows that we can still be the sort of club where we can have an evening with the players and sit and chat to them like you could to the 'boy next door'! thanks too to Liz and the staff for setting up clearing up and feeding us.. and finally a big thank you to all the committee for their hard work over the year.

Today's stewarding.
yep nice and helpful RiG but we also need to accept that some of the staff on the reception too a fair amount of abuse on Saturday which is not necessary - it's not their fault. folk should also be aware that some of these calls were recorded. i'm not pointing any fingers here and know that emotions were high but things aren't always as black and white as they seem.... at the end of the day there are ways and ways to complain and to be heard...

Supporters' Trust Statement No 2
i can understand your frustrations Harry but there are processes that need to be gone through. the club cannot respond without going through these. they have responded so far in that they held a meeting with the trust so that we could put our concerns to them. they now must go and investigate these and will get back to us. 'blame' cannot be apportioned until these investigations are completed the stewarding issue is very much at the forefront of things too. again, it all needs to be looked at and the club were (i'm scared to use this word in case you take it the wrong way but...) sympathetic to our concerns regarding this issue and you can rest assured that it will not be let lie. i think you will find that the club WILL listen to what has to be said. i think in many ways you are being critical of DJS's use of language and not looking at what he is actually saying - but maybe i'm wrong...
