  1. once again, amongst other things, the split has played havoc with our plans in that we did not know where we would be at the end of the season. when the fixtures were released most of the suitable venues were booked. however, we have organised a meet the players night down at the stadium on Thursday 8 May at 7.30pm. this will give supporters an opportunity to meet the players and get autographs from them. there will be presentations to players, a buffet and a raffle. cost of tickets ?5 - all more than welcome. for those fans who may find it difficult to make this one why not come along to the murder mystery night details here.... http://www.caleythistleonline.com/communit...hp?topic=6713.0
  2. And I don't think it's over just yet. :003: oh it's getting soooo exciting!!! :001: :001:
  3. i remember well the agm where mr sutherland stood up and said that dougie macgillivray and ian fraser were evil evil men and should never darken the door of the football club again. two men who were instrumental in getting us where we are today. ok they both had their faults but they had the club at heart and were big supporters of the team. there was no need to vilify them in that way. then there was the other one where he stood up and slagged off brew and malky saying they were traitors to the club, that they walked off and left us in the lurch, that they cost the club money... no mention of brew insiting he sign another contract in the days before he left so the club would be ok financially or that he left some of his personal share of the deal with the club as he knew that they would get nothing for malky... and then he was instrumental in bringing brew back.... maybe he thinks folk won't remember these things....... edited to change the colour as i couldn't get the quote thingy to work.... :007:

  19. on holiday in prague a few years ago in march and we had had a saturday game against cellic postponed which was going to be played on the wednesday night. was desperately trying to find somewhere to watch the game with my friend (a non footy person) but all the pubs in the old town square were showing english games. we noticed a sign that said 'the largest irish bar in prague' (can't remember the name now) and thought this would do! made it in about half an hour before ko and were sitting with a couple who came from glasgow - rose and dennis - and chatting away me not letting on what team i supported. he'd his top on and they both had scarves on. during the conversation she said to me 'i've got a bad feeling about this game you know...' i went in to my bag and pulled out my top and said 'and i'm your worst nightmare come true!' their faces were a picture! needless to say we didn't win that game - it was 1 0 if i remember correctly. so - think that was a pretty strange place to see an ict top! however, one more point, i wasn't too impressed with some of the cellic fans who were quite abusive...
