  1. Other than this site, which other websites do you go on when bored and waste away hours of your life? Facebook etc are obvious examples, but anything different that you'd recommend for others?
  2. He doesn't playin the SPL. I agree with Bougherra, he's a fantastic player. Aaah forgot all about that, can't wait for this season to get underway to get used to the new squads. In that case my shout would be Steve Davis.
  3. Boyd, to bag us 20 vital goals a season.
  4. Have it from another player that Hayes should be fit for the Septic game, however if this turns out to be false I wouldn't have a problem with Nick starting. He's been, IMHO, one of our better players in pre-season and think he could do a job against them.
  5. Bobby for me. Closely followed by Sheerin, and then Wyness when it was back in the days he was scoring for fun for us in his 1st spell.
  6. Nah it was 21 league games, we were humped in the cup by Killie. Just means we've gotta avoid defeat to Septic to keep it going :)
  7. I'd say it was good news for Celtic fans , it showed guts and passion and a little bit of skill to come back from 2 - 0 down and get a draw . An early goal at Parkhead and you never know what could happen in the 2nd leg against Braga . Agreed, while their away form in Europe is awful they can turn it on at Parkhead. If they get an early goal and then another before HT (which isn't beyond possibility) then it could be a nervy tie for the Portuguese. They just have to play with one of Mogga's 'attack' minded formations mind you.
  8. Anyone notice a 4-2-3-1 today? I don't give a toss what the official site says, that was a straight 4-4-2 today. I dont give a toss what you say, it definitely wasn't a 4-4-2 today to start with. Rooney was on his own upfront, with Sanchez playing well deeper than him, at times you would've thought he was centre mid. Bluhmanshtein was wide left aswell with Nicky Ross wide right, so dont know where you're getting 4-4-2 from, anyone else at the game could tell you it definitely wasn't, until Eric came one, then we seemed to have someone partnering Rooney up top.
  9. I get the impression that you just enjoy pies, full stop! When I saw you at the last game of the season you had 2 in each hand! And whats wrong with that? I have appearances to keep, once a pie eater, always a pie eater :_thumbup: :eat2: Lol good efford Ddude. Was it you that we met in the pub at Blackpool last weekend?
  10. Admire the optimism, but we definitely need to keep our feet on the fround this season or risk being brought crashing back down to earth.
  11. We did look more threatening when Odihambo came on no doubt, I'd put that down to Rooney being upfront on his own beforehand though and having to try do everything himself when he clearly doesn't have enough work ethic in him. One thing I will say about Eric is that he can look class when he wants to. Today he chased everything down and looked a step or 2 ahead of every other player on the park, was the same against Forres. However against Fleetwood he wasn't in the game at all and Sutherland looked the better option upfront ahead of him. If we can get some consistency in him he could really shine next season up against SPL defences. Agree with what's being said about Coxy, he was awesome today, and indeed in every friendly I've seen him in. Not scared at all to get stuck in, and is showing much more composure and ability to pick a pass now aswell. Good run and reactions for his goal too, well done that boy. McCann, whilst having an average performance, also impressed. Everytime he was having a look at where to put the ball rather than just using the hoof tactic, which Golly and Munro were guilty of. Looking forward to seeing how the boy Gillet plays at left back.
  12. Bluhmanshtein seemed to be wide left, with Sansesh in the hole behind Rooney.
  13. What Johnboy said. Also we looked relatively comfortable at the back despite a makeshift defence. Esson not having much to do but his handling was good. Munro looked solid before coming off. In attack I thought Ross played well, looking to take people on when he got on the ball, reminiscent of a young Jimmy Calder, and threaded a couple of nice passes through including the one for the opener. Had a couple of good link ups with McCann and Sanchez aswell. Rooney didn't have much of a look in, bar one half chance which he had to turn the defender and create for himself. Average performances from most others. Nothing outstanding but still got a comfortable win. Esson - 7 McCann - 7 Golly - 6 Munro - 6 Tokely - 7 Ross - 8 Bluhmanshtein - 6 Cox - 8 Duncan - 7 Sanchez - 7 Rooney - 7 Subs: Innes - 3, McBain - 5, Odihambo - 7.5 HT Pie - 8
  14. HT: 2-0 FT: 4-0 1st scorer ICT: Sutherland 1st scorer Opp: Eagleshan Crowd: 1994 Ahh I've missed this :) Good luck for the new season folks.
  15. Hmm glad you got one then, I'm still waiting...
  16. And to whoever I was txting the updates to.. I wasn't that drunk, Fleetwood had printed off team lines which actually said Ryan Esson was our number 11 for the day.
  17. Don't think being in Division 1 and going back up again has anything to do with it. Last season saw an INCREASE in Season Ticket sales on the previous year in the SPL, and whilst in the SPL before I have never had a problem getting tickets/shirts etc, and infact have been full of praise for the shop staff on many occasions. Standards have just quite clearly slipped though and noone, bar the p!ssed off fans, seems to be giving a sh!t about it. Totally unprofessional, even if they are busy, then a 2 minute phone call back would would be understandable IMO. What gets me aswell is that I could sort of see it if I was trying to get my season ticket after the new strip had come out, they'd be bound to be well busier than usual then, but it was a week and a bit before that I tried ordering it. Could be losing the club valuable money with this poor handling.
  18. Gillet will start, so will Rooney, think Rossco will be on at LB, and Esson may well be on. Anyway, nice to a game on saturday, beats the hell out of shopping/gardening eh. Why will Gillet start yet Tokely's at LB? :_doh:
  19. Ba doom boom tish. Agree with Renegade, Odihambo needs to be played outwide or upfront where he can get the room to make runs and get into space, otherwise he'll be virtually ineffective. For this reason I've chosen Sutherland to partner Rooney upfront. Also think he's put more effort in from what I've seen in pre-season and deserves a chance against a team like Queens, as I dont know will he given much of a chance in the SPL. This would be the perfect game for him to stake a claim for himself. Think with the likes of Ross, Sutherland and Cox it's a good mix of youth in there aswell to give them a chance to prove themselves against lower league oppo.
  20. Have had the same problem with my season ticket, tried buying it online where it went to the confirmation page, then told me my booking couldn't be confirmed however they may have taken the money out of my account so call the Club Shop and don't try attempt it again. So I called the club the next day where I was put on, probably to the same girl who said she'd transfer me through to the shop. Then left a voice message with my details and pressed the # key after it, and did this again a couple of days later, and have never recieved a call back. Work Monday - Friday so haven't had a chance to go in yet as I was down at Fleetwood last Saturday, but will do tomorrow before the game. I will no doubt face the prospect of the seat I had attempted to book now being taken by someone else, and the seat I do eventually get will most likely have someone else in it for the Septic game. Poor organisation and I'm not a happy bunny. Dunno if I'll be purchasing the top.
  21. Interesting to see only 2 line ups with Tuffey in goal.. I'd got with: Tuffey McCann Tokely Munro Golabek Ross Duncan Cox Sanchez Sutherland Rooney Bench: Esson, Innes, Morrison, Bluhmanshtein, Odhiambo
