I look forward to ICT having a positive effect on the Scottish ranking and thereby increasing Europa league places available.

6pts needed for European Footie?
I really don't get the anti County pish on here, it's not like they've ever really been our rivals at all. It's nice that a wee local team can share success with us.

Who would you rather Have in SPL
Morton because the Jags haven't gotten over us getting into the SPL at their expense yet. And Millions!!!

6pts needed for European Footie?
No and no. If the Scottish Cup winners have already qualified for the Champions League, the Europa League place is handed to the runners-up, and if the winners have already qualified for the Europa League, the Europa League place is given to the fourth placed SPL club. Unless Celtic fail to win the league, St. Mirren appear to be going to Europe next season. No and no. However if Utd. win the SC and finish top 3 then either way 4th in SPL will go to Europe.

However...i dont pretend to know one way or the other for sure I may well be wrong but in 2010, Motherwell got a European slot because both the winners and runners up of the SC had already qualified for Euro competition. One less place up for grabs so I assumed it would be St Mirren. Gretna played in Europe without winning SC? This is hurting my brain, away for a lie down now.

ICT -V St Johnstone
Their fans are jubilant....saying it took ICT 8 seasons to reach top 6 and they did it first attempt. Well...bottom line is....we got there first...as usual....so...they are still, forever in our shadow lol So in those 8 seasons, where were they playing their football? A bit like saying "look at me" before falling flat on your face really.

what country?
My point was that it is in Asia not Europe, just as you rightly pointed out Israel is. However I have since done a little research (which I should have done before) and find that the western most part of Kazhakstan on the west bank of the Ural river is indeed in Europe. If we manage to secure a place in the Europa Cup, I'd love to draw Almaty. The women are beautiful, they've been a melting pot for Asian and European genes for centuries.

BBC Scotland Match Day coverage
But they have an operating surplus, so why cutbacks? No recession there, unless government is slashing broadcating budget (if there even is such a thing).

BBC Scotland Match Day coverage
Other than Yewtree I can't see any justification for cutbacks when they are carrying an operating surplus of £8MM per week. The operating period they have surplus for predates the allegations coming into the MSM's radar anyway.

BBC Scotland Match Day coverage
Until this season there had been a commentary team at all SPL games, which also meant that virtually all ICT games kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday could be heard online, on air within the Highlands and Islands and sometimes across the entire Radio Scotland network. As observed, live commentaries at 3pm on Saturdays have been reduced this season to one game. That, as far as I am aware, is the only cut. However the BBC does still offer Open All Mics as an integral part of seven hours of sport coverage on a Saturday afternoon, The Results Programme on BBC 1 Scotland, online text updates, online match reports and post match interviews, online video highlights which are also broadcast on air on Sportscene, and from BBC Alba there is one game per week shown "as live" or occasionally "honest to God" live, with ICT figuring fairly prominently there. But I suppose there is a limit as to what can be done within the two quid odd a week licence fee paid by UK based BBC users...... Just why are the BBC making any cuts at all? They had an operating surplus of over almost £400MM last year. Curious. Maybe they're going to cut the license fee or improve their newsroom? Edit: Got my figures wrong.

How does Kazhakstan fit into Europe? It's got a land border with China.
