  1. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. And a pause for thought about those less fortunate than ourselves. Talking of which, I wonder how Canada Bob is getting on. Traditional Catalan fertility caganer found in every nativity scene.
  2. Give the scrounger a job then!
  3. If I was in Butcher's shoes... yes I would And not forgetting perks like a company car, etc... I've been as critical of TB as anyone else on here since we got relegated, but I certainly don't see him as a quitter. You're missing the point.. he only seems to be interested in ICT if he can get us back in the spl this season. If he has already failed to get promotion then he isn't quitting he has just been unsuccessful. If he turned to the fans after the Dundee game to say I have failed to get promotion this season but plan to build for next (i.e. confirming he is likely to stick around) I think most would accept that but if not he'd be as well leaving asap so we can move on. "He's not a quitter, he's a loser." If he walks he is quitting, Rome wasn't built in a day. Know what I mean, Harry?
  4. They normally plough them in the spring DC. :) Oh right. Plowing is it for this one? Actually either spelling is ok DC, however it's the snow they plough and not the roads.
  5. what he said
  6. They normally plough them in the spring DC. :D
  7. Trunk roads, bus routes, city/town centres are all given priority before housing estates. At a time when the whole country is cutting back on spending would you want the council to spend millions on gritters to sit at a depot 10 months of the year? What about stretching the existing resources to breaking point. If your journey isn't essential stay put, if it is then take care. Simples.
  8. Sinn Fein & Plaid Cymru would also need to be invited.
  9. a distant one I hope given his current status ;) Cousin 1 (first cousin?) Should you not be on Overthebridge?
  10. THere was about 8" at 7 am when I left this morning. ?sd inches and not Georgious' metric inches.
  11. From the same site:- We're higher than average but do we need all of them? I think not.
  12. I think he has still got a season and a half in him at div 2 level. In that time at Peterhead I'm sure he'll make his mark and probably end up in the coaching staff. Well done Barry and good luck. Haste ye back!
  13. There are more Polish speakers in Scotland now than Gaelic speakers. I resent the money being thrown at translators for them and also the money being squandered on a dead language. It's not about culture and heritage, it's about being shafted for every penny they can get from you. And for what? Feck all.
  14. Pritt stick. "Save picture as" then upload it into "attachments" then add into post, simples. Not that you care anyway.
  15. They have certainly wasted a lot, when was the last time you needed to make a doctors appointment? Or visited a hospital? Education? you are having a laugh. Why are the majority of new schools paid for with private finance and why have so many primary schools been under threat of closure? Primary schools are forever being flooded by burst pipes because the Education Authorities can't afford the heating bill and switch off the boilers at night. What have they saved if the cleanup cost tens of thousands and displaced pupils. It's all soundbites.
  16. That was very helpful, thanks. Welcome to CTO DougieDangler!
  17. No.... In 1997 we got something called "New Labour" Tory Blair it was I believe.

Incidentally, life expectancy in Cuba is 78 years compared to 79 years here or 42 in impoverished areas like Dingwall.
  19. Can't argue with that.
  20. If he's neo-liberal, am I a communist? Economic Left/Right: -3.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.38 Me, Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama. Where did I leave those sandals?
  21. I wish you hadn't done that dan_ict.
  22. Always a pleasure to see comedy genius at work. I see Tony's still not bovvered about Iraq though.
  23. This might help.
  24. We've had a tory government in the UK since James Callaghan was PM.
  25. I fear you've got that arse about tit, the SNP is (was) a political movement (none of this manifesto bullshit) to devolve powers from Westminster to Scotland and as such a vote for SNP as Alex Salmond has already suggested could put Scotland in a far stronger position should there be a hung parliament. Scottish elections on the other hand should be about selecting the policies we want from our Government. The SNP has lost it's fundamental purpose. They'll still get my vote though, better than the champagne socialists in London.
