So we think we know the answer
I can but I don't, I followed Hibs until the merger and believed then that one day ICT or CT as it was then would reach the top flight and I didn't want to have split loyalties. I wouldn't be too quick to judge others though. Bring back Dougie Riach

You'll find your answer if you read the forum threads before posting. There are many threads around this topic already.

The press thread!
A look at the online poll of the Highland News will confirm the real feelings of ICT fans. At the moment it's 84% in favour of Brewster leaving. I'd say that's significant.

So we think we know the answer
A new manager would at least start to address the problems instead of feeding the blame culture Brewster has created. It's everyone elses fault but his own and that has been and is going to be his downfall ultimately. The Board have a finite amount of cash to use as has been publically portrayed recently in the press with DS and GB having to raise funds for transfers. Therefore they're not in a position to line their pckets. The members of the Board have families and commitments outwith the club and to expect or demand they throw their money at the club because you want them to is unfair. None of us has money to burn. There are a lot of our regular fans who also support another SPL team, which is to be expected with a new team newly in the SPL. Would you be rid of them as well? I'm not trying to pull your post apart but trying to get a balanced view across, there are no black and white issues at ICT just a burning one.

Supporters Trust Meeting
CaleyD/Scotty, if the trust members don't have an online media for communications other than email could CTO not allow them a password protected forum? (for a nominal fee of course) Alternatively send cheques payable to cash to 5thStand. :018: LG can you PM me your bank details please dont forget the 3 digit code on the back of the card Seriously though send your details and I'll join, won't make the meeting though but I'm sure there's a few on here who will represent my views by proxy. :thumb04:

Brewster's contract
Evening Telegraph 13th January 2006 David Sutherland quoted: ?We have made him the manager he is. Bigger clubs can?t waltz in, they have to pay the right compensation. He is still manager of Inverness Caley Thistle and I hope we can sort this out quickly for the sake of Craig, the fans and the Dundee United fans.? Swallow your pride for the sake of ICT please Mr Sutherland.

Brewster's contract
I could be wrong, but was there not talk of him getting a contract extension a few months ago? Haven't heard anything about that since.

Billy Dodds Prediction Watch
I expect Doddsy's predictions have been pretty accurate recently.

I concur, with Black and Cowie's contracts not being renewed as a matter of urgency it appears to me that the club are not prepared to go outwith their wage structure (any new contract would need to have an attractive increment to retain them). It's a case of balancing the books, I just hope that with less income in the first division we can balance them. Could we find a new management team to fit in with the wage structure? Seems to be the problem for the board at the moment. Editted to add reference to management team.

Who?
Mr Sutherland needs to accept that he may be a shareholder but there are appointed members on the ICT board who do not need his approval before making decisions. And the members of said board need to grow a pair and realise that it is their fault that this situation has been allowed to transpire. Do the right thing.

MR SUTHERLAND(TULLOCHS) ON NORTH TONIGHT
Are we going to win the SPL? Are we going to win the Scottish Cup? Are we going to win the League Cup? Are we going to qualify for Europe? 3 of those could happen in our ICT dreams but would require something that DS isn't prepared to give and that's more and more cash. David Sutherland is not our Cash Cow. As fans we expect the guys with the money to stump up whenever it's needed and no questions asked. Can we win the SFL division 1? Can we win the Challenge Cup? Can we dominate our local rivals? Familiar territory? Yes. David Sutherland may be regretting the day he approved the construction of the North and South stands, could he have predicted we'd still be in the top flight? I'd doubt it, but getting there (as it was for Gretna) was the "goal." What is the goal of "Team ICT Board"? They don't have one and appear to be impotent, they can't even talk to the papers FFS. Realistically we can't be expected to be an SPL team indefinitely, we have enjoyed top flight football for a few seasons and have come to expect it, nae Demand it. It appears that our benefactor is prepared to allow us to fall at the first hurdle. I don't think it's a money motivated move (stadium sale/move, etc.) but money saving move. Who can blame him?
-
Who?
And that's a good thing is it? That's thinking outside the box and I like it a lot, but as you say the board would never go for it. Robbo for me as he's local, knows the set-up, loves the club and I reckon he would come cheaper than anyone else. be agreeable to a reasonable deal.

MR SUTHERLAND(TULLOCHS) ON NORTH TONIGHT
I'm not convinced by the conspiracy theorists, I believe that as a businessman he expects to see a return from an investment before he'll put good money after bad. As things stand he is of the opinion that "I'll prove I'm right about brewster by keeping him and giving him money for players in the window". I think it'll backfire and hope he'll back down, but as he is a businessman I'm not so sure he isn't prepared to allow ICT to fall into the SFL again. A big fish in a little pond is more likely to win a cup (Challenge cup) or relive past glories (Promotion). I'm talking myself into the conspiracy camp amn't I? Feck. :thumb04: :018:
