Hardly think you can count the time with Rix at Hearts (one month). Did well at Dundee both times (probably the closest to us for teams he's been at). He's well respected as a coach that has included time with Chelsea. Knows the game inside out, so if we got a fresh hungry young manager, then someone like Duffy (or John McCormick, Archie Knox etc) could be alongside giving pointers to the young coach.

Alongside Bayne? That could produce a few goals. How Bayne getting on BTW? Anyone follow St J?

Way too simplistic. Firstly, Hamas have indicated to Jimmy Carter that a peaceful solution is possible but publicly declaring this without Israel declaring first is not the way they want to play it. Much like Syria these days too. Meetings going on in Turkey but no-one actually saying so. As for travellers from North Kessock - Israel is more akin to the travellers than the followers of Hamas. How about for Somalian war crimes, half of Scotland is declared the homeland to Somalians and any Scot who opposes this is a terrorist. Fair? Was William Wallace a terrorist for not surrendering to an occupying force? There's more as well. Palestine have had previous truces with Israel, then Israel has said this doesn't include people they deem threats. Well, who are you having a ceasefire with? Hamas had a 9 month period where they fired no rockets and had no suicide bombers, yet Israel used that time not to build bridges but to attack Hamas. As for Gaza, how free is it when their entire economy and power is under control of an oppressive outside government? Withdrawing troops but rationing food really isn't being free. At least it shows the lie that the US is a supporter of democracy - Hamas of course winning the last election. Trouble with this situation is both sides have legitimate arguments. Both sides use force against innocents. I don't see a suicide bomber as any better than a gunship. The bizarre thing is, everyone has pretty much agreed on the solution (2 states) but getting there without trust is next to impossible.

The only way for Israel to survive long-term is to make peace with it's neighbours. Sooner or later a chemical, biological or nuclear attack will happen otherwise. Israel and America may respond (but against who? Attack a friendly nation like Saudi or Egypt if some terrorists are from there?) but Israel's only the size of Wales. It just can't survive too many attacks of that nature. Countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE are desperate to put this all behind them, whilst others like Jordan and Egypt pretty much have. With the Arab peace plan, there really is very little to negotiate about. All both sides need is trust but that's in pretty short supply. Personally, I don't see why Israel just doesn't retreat to it's borders unilaterally, then announces that the post WW2 Palestine can be re-established but it's not there concern any more. The Arab nations can then get on with creating a free Palestine and Israel can treat any hostile action as that of a neighbouring nation with all that entails, rather than collective punishments and a second-class citizenship. That said, I've never been very comfortable with a Jewish homeland, any more than a white, Muslim etc nation. I don't mean that nations won't have a natural cultural identity gained throughout the years (e.g. Scotland will be white and Christian, whilst, say, Yemen will be Arab and Muslim for a long time to come and so on) but making the religion, race, colour or whatever engrained within the nation just doesn't sit right, i.e. the Jewish State of Israel is as uncomfortable as the white rule of South Africa or the Islamic Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Why should one set of people who may have been born there be of any less importance than the rest? I always mean to never read these posts. Politics and football don't sit comfortably often. Oh well, I'll try to avoid it in the future. And bang go my chances of ever becoming President of the US (I was so close...)

As Alan Preston said 'even if they sack, Brewster, where do they go from there?' Probably said the same thing when Brew was in charge of Dundee Utd or Berti Vogts at Scotland. Pure protectionism.
-
I probably agree but it's a replacement for our right-side player we need rather than where does Cowie play best. Same way as we need a replacement for Proctor in central defence, even though he plays better in other positions.
-
Tactics? What, those little sweets? I fail to see the relevance!
-
Not losing a goal against the Dandy Dons was a good result today! (at this point, I'll take anything tenuous)
-
I've been saying this for about a year now. Pressley with someone like Archie Knox (as a favour for an old mate) or Jim Duffy (can't imagine him turning down a footie job) alongside. Having said that, no problem with Robbo returning, or maybe Bobby Williamson even though noone rates him (thought he did well with Killie & Hibs). Definitely one of the first two though I'd favour.
-
Cowie is right side and Vigurs more central. Gawd, we need so many players!
-
Rooney with his first goal for the club. Must be. Otherwise he'd be playing more surely?
-
YEESSS! DARGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....here, hang on...
-
Just embarrassing

Shouldn't the seller be responsible for the damage in this case? You didn't receive the goods as sold, so you should be entitled to send them back.
-
I wonder who Black means? Was this one of the players Robbo said he was helping? (could be anyone mind you)

What a nice man Firstly, it was a joke. Secondly, I hold a doctorate in wildlife conservation. I travel around the world all-expenses paid due to my expertise. I work only a few months a year for which I'm well paid and spend most of my time relaxing in sunny locations. So, if I'm a pleb, what does that make you? Thirdly, if serious, it would depend when we bought. Right at the death of the transfer window means they'd struggle to buy anyone else but may fear relegation enough to cash in.

Would Wilson need a trial for Ross County? Surely they know what he can do?
-
If the Board had been a bit wiser and got on a longer contract, he could have been sold and a hungrier player brought in. He's obviously going to come good again but, right now, the money might have been more use. As it is, he goes for nothing (or next to). We lose out in every way.
-
Maybe we should be buying from the Accies - purely to weaken them!
-
nnyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh I'll get you Butler!
-
He wasn't going to stay with us once his contract was up. We are a small club and we lose our good players. That's life for all clubs like ours I'm afraid. It's almost impossible to build a team nowadays. If bigger teams than us can lose their best players oce their contracts come to an end then what chance do we have to stem the tide. He has moved to get better money and he will be playing for a bigger club. That's all there is to it. The Brewster sideshow wouldn't have changed anything. He would have left regardless, there has been plenty of interest in the guy. That's not my reading of the situation. Regular fall-outs combined with a running down of his contract to within not just the final year but within the final season of his contract. Meant he had no real option but to consider his future. Anything there to disagree with?
-
Merry Xmas Robbo and don't take to heart what IHE says. By his own admission, he's on the wind-up most of the time. Oh, and by the way, could you start using these contacts to undermine the manager and get back in? Then it would be a Merry Xmas (go on, go on, go on, go on)
-
Fact - His contract runs out in six months time and he can move then and take the cash Fact - his contract was allowed to run so that he only had around 3 months to go til the January window and he could negotiate with other clubs, until he was offered a contract. Fact - He was a ballboy there, his dad played there, Georgie is home. Fact - he was prepared to go to Hibs, so not really Fact - if he goes now we get money and we need it. Fact - it'll cost us a lot more if we get relegated due to our best player leaving and who can we use this pittance on to replace him like-for-like? Fact - If he has signed with his heart and not his head, like Robbo, he could regret the move. His heart would be ICT. Given he was willing to talk to Hibs, he's not leaving for sentiment. Fact - We are a selling club, this is a good piece of business. Fact - we haven't sold him. He can either go for a knock-down price in January or nothing in June/July. Fact - Brewster, for all his faults, probably played very little part in this. It would be Ian and his agent getting the best terms on offer. Fact - that's not a fact, that's a presumption. Just as I presume that had he had a better people manager and been offered a contract well before the curent's final death throws, then there would have been a good chance of him staying, given what he's said about liking the club and the place.
-
And that's good?!
-
I doubt it, given that both earned massive pay rises with their moves to bigger clubs. Perhaps Brewster can actually be credited with making Black a much better and more disciplined player this season. I disagree. Neither Rankin nor Black were looking for moves before Brew came. Quite the opposite. Only when the troubles started did they both have to consider other clubs.
