  1. I'd be all in favour of Knox. To have worked so consistently with the people he's been with has to be a good thing. In fact, I'd be surprised if he was interested in the job. I'd be pretty shocked if he couldn't get a bigger job if he made himself available.
  2. Dodds? Darren Dods? Billy Dodds? Davie Dodds? Surely Maurice Malpas hasn't proved himself after two disastrous appointments?
  3. After reading a piece on BBC News about a big Subbuteo tournament in Scotland, I thought I'd indulge my boyhood interest in the game and look up a few teams and accessories ('the crowd and the dugout and the floodlights too'). There's the SPL, ok...um...where's Inverness? To make matters worse, they've even got Livingstone in there! Quick trivia question, name two songs about subbuteo. I see now you can even buy male and female streakers for that big match atmosphere!
  4. I'd guess about the same. But it's only a ball park figure* *did you see what I did there? Ball park. BALL. 'Coz it's football. FootBALL. BALL. Ah forget it!

Ok, not going to happen but what about Ian Stewart? Legend at ICT and did really well at Peterhead - where he was quite amazingly sacked. Such a shame he's not at a club.
  6. A failed Peterhead manager would do just fine.
  7. How has he got a much better CV than Smith or Strachan? Oh, you mean as a player?! In that case, would Gazza make a better manager than Mourinho? Bobby Moore a better manager than Alex Ferguson? Great player does not equal great manager. Arigo Sacchi never even played professional football, yet he can lay claim to be one of the greatest managers the world has ever seen.
  8. This is where league restructuring needs to come in. Teams like Albion Rovers, Alloa, Stenhousemouir etc etc are well served by both professionals and junior teams, whereas Stranraer is much more a community club. The people of Stranraer don't have the option of going elsewhere easily. Teams like these should be a priority.
  9. Assuming Ossie's picking the team: ---------------------------------Esson------------------------------------ ---------------------------------Tokely----------------------------------- ---------------------Black---------------------Vigurs-------------------- ---Cowie-----------------------------------------------------McBain---- ---------------------Morais---------------------Imrie-------------- -----------Barrowman--------Rooney---------Wood------------- I know what you're thinking but Tokely will be encouraged to get forward at every opportunity. Esson doubles as the corner-taker to maximise goal chances naturally.
  10. Don't need to bother reading through it all. The telling quote is: He's just telling it like it is!

Sure it wasn't highly UNpopular. No way the majority of fans wanted him back after such miserable failure.
  12. ...said nothing really...
  13. Imrie's been one of our best attacking players in a system where getting to the byeline has not been the tactic. If he's third division standard, how come Jim Jefferies wants him?
  14. I took ICT into the top 6* and am currently holding Cardiff steady, despite very little budget. I'll be pleased to return to Inverness if appropriate compensation can be worked out. (* thought best not to mention that relegation I got sacked for)
  15. Have to agree with Ralph (who is he then? Malky?) about Donald Park. Sometimes two people just can't work together. That's it. Not necessarily a blame game. Just a clash of the way things should be done. As for training, I can imagine the likes of Munro, Tokely, Duncan etc probably benefited from the uber-fitness regime. For Black and Imrie, touch is far more important to their game. Seems as though that wasn't addressed. Really needed, if not Donald Park, then someone in that way minded.

The manager needs to be here in days. I doubt we could get the compensation sorted and all the moving etc done with an already attached manager. Yah, boo, yer granny sucks eggs!
  17. What has Craig Brown ever done in club football? And again, why Stevie Frail???

Got to hit the ground running in this the most challenging of times. The manager has to be totally committed and willing to work hard straight away. Robbo, Christie or perhaps Pele. Can't see anyone else in that category.

You can just imagine it... "where's the money, Grassa" "lost it all!" "how? you selected Ian McCall!" "I know but Robbo was such the obvious choice, I couldn't help myself" "back to buying from Ross County?" "Nup, lost it all. Erm...how are Elgin City doing these days? Any strikers?"
  20. Hi, not sure where the 'ill-health' stories are coming from????? Ill-health as in pyschological illness. Quite well known his demons of drink and gambling. No idea what place his head is in to these days. BTW, the voting's working again. Why Steve Frail? He's only had one manager's job, where he was awful. Honestly, why?
  21. Charlie did give an interview some time ago about how he didn't resign due to pressure and that he fancies another crack - even being prepared to move away to another club to make that reality.
  22. 'Ralph Milne' mentioned Dargo a few times (check his posts). I'd be surprised if a move wasn't on the cards
  23. Can't seem to vote but I'm going for Pele or, if ill-health precludes, Robbo.
  24. ---------------------------------Fraser------------------------------------- -------------------Mihadjuks------------------Munro------------------------ ---Tokely---------------------------------------------------Hastings--------- ---------------------Black---------------------Vigurs----------------------- ---Wilson-----------------------------------------------------Rankin---------- ---------------------Bayne-------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------Wyness-----------------------

P&J are saying Barry with Robbo his assistant. I would've thought the other way around myself... http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1036984
