Thast also what i heard. Was being abusive to the someone in the pub when asked about his caley future and generally causing a disturbance in the pub, saying how he wants to leave, and cant be arsed playing for Brester (understandable) then someone told him he should still play for the club, as he still has a contract, Black then proceded to kick up a fuss, and the guy lamped him one. Thats your big hero whos 100% committed to the cause!! But who knows could all be untrue!!!! What a c*nt Black is if that's true. No matter how sh*te the manager is, I believe a player should still be 100% committed as long as he is contracted to his club. Yes exactly and thats why the anti black chants were started at the half time interval. Especially after just staring into the crowd and what i felt was purposly kicking the ball into the crowd, and then just staring at the crowd and the boys who decided to start the chants against him. Not professinal behaviour in my opinion. So yes he was a good player, did alot of good things for Caley, but now has to go as i dont think he is 100% commiteted after the storys of the Heathmount. Certainly something suspicious going on here...probably more to do with IP addresses than the Heathmount. Anyone prepared to stand up and be named as present during that incident? Fancy naming your sources? Times and dates? Name of the person that punched Black in the supposed Heathmount incident? Thought not. I wonder what Ralph Milne or Bring Back Bavidge think? Or do we already know. Complete load of bull.

I concur completely. It does annoy me when people post about Brew wanting to fail. If I was Brew I wouldn't resign either. This is his last chance after the Dundee Utd fiasco. If he can somehow turn it around, then he has a career. Unfortunately, I don't think he can...but not for want of trying.
  3. The crunch games are behind us. With a new man we have a hope but no more than that. A few good results even less than a month ago and we'd have a good chance.

Can you go out clubbing til 4am in Inverness?
  5. And the players fighting the most are McBain and Duncan. Shows how poor we are when they've become our greatest strengths.

He's not a great player but the formation was never going to suit him. We're better with playing Wood or Rooney on their own with Barrowman coming on when we revert from 1 up to 2 up in the latter stages of the game.

"''scuse me there, Mr Bennett. It's about the manager..." "Before you start, can I buy you a wee dram" "Oh, em, aye...thanks..." "Before I get to the bar, you were saying?" "Errr, right. Just to say best of luck on the Saturday" "I'll let Craig know of your support. Glenfiddich ok?"
  8. I'm also of the opinion we're going down. Our biggest games have been and gone. The board, the manager and the DoF are all to blame. I'll never forgive their arrogance. Maybe a new manager could help by identifying players to get us out of Division 1 but I've an awful feeling Brew will still be in charge then too.

Whats the point in keeping him if he isn't going to play ? Way to go ;) :015: No point. So play him. Black has never said he didn't want to play. Everything I know about Black as a player tells me he will be committed as soon as he walks out on that pitch. Or perhaps we shouldn't play Gatthuesi, Cowie, Byrne, Vigurs, Imrie, Morais, Barrowman or the big Lithuanian whose name escapes me. They won't want to risk injury either given there's every chance they won't be here long-term. Black will do his best for ICT. No doubt about that.

Yeah, which is more than Byrne, Morais or Gattheusi cost. Chasing out our best player when the team's at the bottom of the league. Way to go :thumb04: :018:
  11. With our current fixture list, I just can't see us surviving this. Too late for a new manager and new signings. The biggest games have gone. Our board has sold us down the river. The only thing we can claim at the end of it all is 'we told you so'. Cold comfort.

Where do you get this from? Black hasn't dropped himself. More likely ICT that are protecting his possible transfer fee.

One of the most important games we've ever played and we don't have our best player in the team. Black's never lacked commitment. Quite the opposite. There are plenty of players that have signed pre-contracts and played fine the rest of the season. This is a poor excuse for dropping a player.
  16. But we know what will happen if we don't change the manager. Or maybe it's poor tactics by the manager and falling outs with our best players. But we know who WON'T get us out of this mess, so keeping that man shouldn't be an option. Again, I know who we don't trust with the budget. Look at Brew's record with Dundee Utd. He doesn't have the skills to get us out of this mess. It does prove that Brew was completely unable to get us out of this mess. There are however managers that have been successful and are far more deserving of a chance than Brew, who never did anything except when he played. An established SPL team, whose work is being completely undone by a manager who failed before and should never have been taken back. There's loads of threads where this has happened. Favourites appear to Robbo (possibly in the short-term), Bobby Williamson, Gordon Chisholm and John McCormack. Now, tell me why Brew should stay? And when should he be sacked - just when does it become too much? Two questions. Please answer each.
  17. Bit of a strange comment. Even if Alex Ferguson was in charge of a 2nd Division team, they'd struggle against any SPL team. But many of Pele's players DID play in the SPL though. Perhaps they couldn't beat today's team (not so sure) but then they weren't operating on an SPL budget. (Although I concur with the point about illness)
  18. I'd love to see him given a chance too - maybe as the next DoF. Obviously he's had his problems, so don't know what condition his mind is in these days. Can't think of any other reason not to. Got us to the SPL in all but name. *Maybe I should clarify what I mean by 'in all but name' - the majority were his players.
  19. I believe I can spot a wee mistake in this!
  20. starchief replied to CaleyD's topic in Caley Thistle
He's alright but not great. I'm sure we can get a replacement of similar quality without too much trouble.
  21. How about a midfield of: Gattheusi - Duncan - Black - Byrne a quality bunch of ball-playing touch players.
  22. Didn't fix Brew up mind you. Could do with him up front.
  23. Barrowman was even more prolific at lower league level ! What we need is someone with SPL experience. But who? Probably no experienced striker from the Old Firm, the New Firm and the Edinburgh teams. So: - Motherwell? No-one there we can afford. - Killie? Looking for one themselves - Falkirk? Their strikers aren't going to leave them for us - Hamilton? None there - St Mirren? Injury prone to Dargo is the only hope. Think we have to look outside our own league.
