  1. Kenny Miller in a Scotland top :)
  2. I don't doubt it (pretty crazy though) but having a bit of fun.
  3. ...Mo Johnston in a Rangers top....
  4. Next it'll be Kyle Allison and a Ross County top ;)
  5. From a distance, the Brighton looks bright pink. And having Nobo emblazoned across it doesn't help. Some other really bad ones there, but the spider Bilabao one is sensational. I'd buy it!
  6. Bloody hope not! Think McGhee had one good season in Scotland. Needs to prove himself with the Dons and I just don't see him doing that. Burley's been a better manager at club level. Trouble is...well, I've made mine feelings clear enough on other threads. Aberdeen will struggle for top 6 but Falkirk and Motherwell are even worse. We'll see what the Accies are capable of. A lot of very very poor teams in the SPL this year.
  7. Thanks, I know Showtime. I go for the much cheaper ART package.
  8. Which Channel? You on AD (Abu Dhabi) Sport? ART is supposed to have it again this year but not this weekend.
  9. I heard he got fired
  10. You're not interested in football?
  11. It's about time that Scottish football started again, focusing on community clubs instead of those 'historical' clubs cluttering up the leagues. The likes of Stenhousemuir or Alloa are leftovers from the past, with too many teams in the same area (e.g. Airdrie, Hamilton, Clyde). How about two leagues of 16, filled with the larger clubs, plus representatives of various areas, e.g. Stranraer, Queen of the South, Forfar, Livingstone etc etc. No chance of that then!
  12. That's it though Charles. Neither side sees the balance. Most of Ireland wants a united Ireland but most of Ulster doesn't. There's right on both sides but neither side will see it. Until recently anyway. Then when they get peace, they decide that the peace wasn't perfect enough so vote for the parties least likely to bring it. Sod 'em! (and I've even got strong family connections to the area)
  13. I was never part of the sack George campaign....but I am now. Smith, Brown and McLeish all saw that we didn't have the ability to dominate games and play free-flowing football. Vogts never learned that, now it's obvious Burley hasn't either. If he had the England team, he'd be a sensation but expecting us to go to Norway, after our previous performances, with an attack-minded team was pure folly. We're best when boring (sad but true).
  14. Davidson was a good left-back. Famously got his jaw broken by Dennis Wise. Little coward attacked Callum while he was asleep. Typical of that despicable excuse for a man. Don't think he's done anything wrong.
  15. 0-2 at half-time. I'm now 100% sure my line-up was correct. Just as I suspected, Norway threw everything up to Carew. By going one-on-one, we were prone to get slipped if we lost the aerial challenge. Using a sweeper system would have countered the problem and allowed us to attack down the wings. Instead, Burley's gone to dominate a midfield that has never been a big strength for Norway (half the time, it's by-passed). And that domination, includes a marker like Alexander who offers nothing going forward (him not being a midfielder). A man down, he takes off McCormack and leaves on Kommons. So now we have Kommons who can provide crosses to no-one, instead of a more central McCormack who also provides a goal threat. Sorry George, but you've got it completely wrong. All we needed was a draw, with only really one big threat to counter. Failed!
  16. I gave up on the Northern Irish when, having had peace with the SDLP and UU taking all the risks, the Republican electorate voted for Sinn Fein rather than the non-violent SDLP and the Unionists voted for the anti-peace agreement DUP, instead of the pro-peace UU. They want war with each other? Fine! Make it independent and let them fight it out between themselves. They won't be missed.
  17. Don't know about everyone else but I wasn't trying to guess Burley's team, I was picking my own (hence why I have Mulgrew at LWB when he's not even in the squad).
  18. Think with Ross, Imrie, Hayes, Eagle and McBain all capable of playing on the right, we're ok there. I'm still worried about our only ball-playing midfielder being a young guy (Cox) that's never played a season. Duncan and Stratford are defensive midfielders (it would seem with the latter), I'm sure if McBain could do it, he'd have got the chance before his 34th birthday. Other than that, it's wingers or attackers to cover, or taking a chance on some other young gun that's never done it regularly. It's such an important position, I'm surprised it's not been a priority.
  19. Thats hardle a compliment is it to be top scorer last season. How many did he score 5 or 6. Thats bloody pish Yep, so why have you put Barrowman above him who didn't score even that? Or Odhiambo for that matter. Someone mentioned he was only 20 but Rooney's only a year older and has scored (and started) plenty more. I've seen Baggio, McCoist, Lineker and many others do the same. Hell, I've even seen Foran do it. If you think the other strikers have more potential, fair enough, but on the 'he missed a chance' reason, you'll soon end up with a Renegade line-up by having Djebi-Zadi up front through default. Strikers miss chances. Fact.
  20. Surprised everyone has such a downer on Rooney. He was top scorer for both the first team and reserve team last year, yet people are putting Barrowman and Odhiambo above him? Odhiambo has ONE GOAL in his whole career. Barrowman scored TWO all last season, despite normally being the main striker. Sure Rooney misses chances. But he deserves to be above those two (tactics apart) on his showing.
  21. It's also a case of stop slagging Mihadjuks too. If he didn't get an offer, you can hardly blame the guy for trying to get another club. It's not like he put in a transfer request like Dods or whoever.
  22. Was he actually offered a contract with ICT?
  23. Alexander G. Caldwell Hutton - Berra - S.Caldwell - Mulgrew Fletcher - Brown - Kommons McCormack - McFadden Hutton and Mulgrew to go flying down the wings, with G. Caldwell in the libre position. McCormack and Fletcher to create chances out of nothing. It's either going to be an amazing partnership or absolutely woeful. But I'll give them the chance (magnanimous sod that I am)
  24. I think Manchester United will win the SFL1. I heard TV pundits say that United have such a strong squad, they are capable of winning everything this year.
  25. One thing's for sure, if Rovers win, they'll be dancing in the streets of Albion!
