Is the G-word racist?
I agree Davie, but according to the police calling someone a gypsy b'stard can now be looked on as a racist attack. What really sticks in my craw is that it was actually our own supporters (all two of them) who made the complaints. Does anyone know who they were? Wish they would speak up even anonymously and give their side of the story. I kinda wonder if it was the bad language they were really objecting to or didnt really understand the history of this banter.

But they did magnify the issue it's even been picked up by the national press according to some. Just feel this has been badly dealt with.

Is the G-word racist?
I.m confused here. Did anyone actually complain to the pokice or SFL/SFA re this or is this just the reaction of the club to the 2 complaints? If no-one had complained at all would this have carried on as banter as has been the case for years? If it is the club well you have to wonder about their communication with the fans and the bad press we all have had whether we chant or not.

Is the G-word racist?
This is unbelievable. 2 complaints cause all this publicity which make us all look racist to the rest of the world. Horrified about the P and J article. I think the club reacting like they did has made things a lot worse and has made us all look bad. No wonder folk would rather stay at home.

Are you just trying to wind everyone up?

Is the G-word racist?
If you were at the meeting please post. Would be interested to know what actually was said instead of the sanitised version the club appears to have put out. Seems no one has a sense of humour anymore. Would have thougth the police would have had better things to do.

Is the G-word racist?
Did Mike Smith get round to meeting with either the trust board or the fans who asked for a meeting yet?

Slightly off topic but I dont see why STV needs its own pundits/commentary for the champions league anyway.

Never mind the diddy of diddy cups
Sort of agree but the "diddy cup" can earn the club a substantial sum of money if we win and also winning the cup would be good for morale all round.Losing again to County would be bad all round.

Maybe he has a twin brother.

Is the G-word racist?
I kinda think that section G is to be targeted no matter what the other parts of the grounds sing/shout.

Dont think anyone can argue with this comment.

Is the G-word racist?
I take my kids to the matches and dont have any problem with this. I dont want them to grow up in a pc culture in which they are afraid to speak. I would never condone racism and in fact habve heard racial abuse being hurled at Lionel at the end of the last season. The "gentleman" involved was sitting in front of me and was challenged re what he said. I did consider reporting this to the club but he was not a season ticket holder so there did not seem to be much point. However, people should not be afraid to criticise someone just because of their colour. Lionel was awful at the last county match and I dont think the booing had anything to do with his colour. However, i think the club have to tow the line here now if not a big fine may follow. On the other issue of the seats surely we should be encouraging the singers to sit together. We sat with friends in empty seats 2nd half on Sat what harm is being done? Dreading Sunday now may not be very pleasant atmosphere now. Also re Iain McColl well if we must have this pc culture well rules should apply to all but personally couldnt care less what he calls us.

Is the G-word racist?
Wow the world has officially gone mad. Other clubs call us things but it's not racism.I do think some people need to get a life but the club is now probably in an awkward position.

ICT -V- Partick Th :Matchday Thread
I understand that there was a massive effort before the game to try and get Rossco fit enough to play. good :024: so do you think he will be fit for sunday? Doesnt matter he's suspended. How is he suspended? Got booked at Partick and must have been booked previously I asume.

No players on the p!ss tonight then
Have to say that I WISH things were as good on the park as the PR side of things. TB always says the right things.

1st half a period of utter madness that left too big a mountain to climb. Think Sanchez should have been on from the start and not Barrowman. 2nd half I actually thought we might get a point but not to be. Badly need the injured back especially Rossco, Golly and Imrie.

1-1.. Take that at full time. Not really bricking it, not too bothered for the score. Seems like we've held our own, with a not quite full strength team tonight, I'm pleased with that tbh. A win would just be a bonus, but seems like we've put in a decent performance so that'll do me. would be nice to get a result though.

At least there was a result at Rugby Park so we can listen to Fir Parkm without Chic Young blabbing on all the time.
