  1. The only mugging was once again on the pitch! :008:
  2. I used to jump on the "they're not real fans unless they go to every game" bandwagon. Now, I see things differently. We have 3500 regular home turnout. The cost of going to games is ever increasing and going to every game is almost unaffordable for many. So, if say a family of 4 had the choice of going to watch ICT play St. Mirren or ICT play Rangers, which would they rather? Easy choice. For the bigger games we have 5000 fans. The extra 1500 pay their money like anyone else. So it's more than unfair to call them "not real fans". Someone who buys a shirt but can't make the game can be just as much as a fan as someone who doesn't buy a shirt but goes to every game. And yes, I do both. Buy the shirts and go to all games.
  3. Sling Shot: Firing Jade Goody into the Firth Pin the tail on the Donkey: The chance to give the ref a kick up the arse
  4. I couldn't care less about half time entertainment. It's pre and post half time entertainment I want.
  5. That's why I think he's set for Newcastle. They are looking for a midfielder. It's not that far away and has a strong Scottish connection. If he was to go back to the Premiership. That's the ideal place for him.
  6. Ferguson - bound for Newcastle.
  7. Black is a decent player at times, if and when he can control himself. The answer is send him to a sports psychologist. It worked wonders for Bayne and for his confidence. If Black can get some anger management sessions he is not a player I would want to lose. It all comes down to him and what he wants. The club can only do so much to support him.
  8. Should we be having a look in the Irish Leagues? So many good players have come out of there for next to nothing prices and who are keen to move across the water. Nothing wrong in having a look. Who knows? We may find a bargain.
  9. When Big Duncan shearer was playing for us he was taken out by someone (can't remember who). Cue " Ref, he can't foul him. That's our International" Playing Dundee Utd in cup replay up here. Tommy MacLean was the manager at the time. We had to sit right next to the Utd fans and had to put up with their crap. As MacLean the Hamster was ranting on and getting more and more wound up it was the chant " MacLean get back in your wheel".
  10. I thought we played quite well, mostly. We were victims of a mugging. Not by Kilmarnock but that joke of a ref who can't be called biased. It goes further than that :008: What I didn't get was Tokely coming off. I'm not a fan of Caff in the middle. He seems lost sometimes. If he was going to play 3 at the back then why not have Tokely, Dods and Munro? Also Tokely gives that extra attack by getting forward whereas Caff only sits back. It seemed CC didn't have the bottle to take Caff off after him only being on for 25/30 mins or whatever it was. Nothing wrong with a tactical move like that sometimes. Not happy with the result but the performance was ok. Denzil and Dargo looked quite good together. If we play like that next week (with a decent ref) then surely we can win.
  11. Scottish Pubs! Came back from the Scotland v Fance game wearing my Scotland top. Tried to get into Hootananny's but was told either cover up my shirt or leave. Inside saw 2 band members wearing a France top and an Eire top! Nothing like a bit of national pride!
  12. Alex MacLeod we are all entitled to our opinion and that is the beauty of this site. Perhaps I didn't get my point over the way I would have liked, maybe more in my frustration after the game. However that does not entitle anybody to question my support for the team as you put in your reply. I am passionate in my support of the team and have spent thousands following the team home and away over the last few seasons as well as buying shirts etc. Add to that on many occasions paying for hospitailty out of my own pocket, not as a corporate deal, to give the club a few extra pounds. Buggering up my work roster, family holidays and other events all in the name of supporting my team I think that allows me to be called a true fan of the club. I think CC is doing a good job but there are still times when I'm not happy with what he says. I'll say no more about this then.
  13. Don't know about others but I'm getting a bit hacked off with CC and some of his recent comments. Today he said he was pleased that we managed to contain a team like Hearts for so long in the game. It was the same the other week when we blew a win against Aberdeen. He came out and said that although he was disappointed he was pleased that we could hold our our own against a team like Aberdeen. CC. We are in the same league as them. We have had better results before so should we accept not winning just because other teams are Bigger than us. We have good players, a good team and are more than capable of beating anyone in the league. Have a bit more self belief please. If we follow your rule then we should be happy with a point against Motherwell, D. Utd, Pars etc as they are more established clubs, arguably. Times change and we are a well established SPL club now. No more of this negative stuff please.
  14. I have little time for either of the Old Firm. Which seems more Scottish? It is certainly not Celtic. Walking to the game last week proved that to me. Over the top with their Irish connections. Tricolours everywhere outside the ground, fiddlers on street corners and Eire shirts all around. Inside the ground there was more of the same, tricolours hanging from every corner of every stand and sectarian songs been sung. To top it, outside there was some guy handing out leaflets about freeing some republican prisoner. Think back to the Uefa cup final a couple of years ago. How many saltires were seen amonst the 20,000 odd 'Tic supporters? One ! Rab Douglas getting slated by his own fans because he had the audacity to take a saltire towel into his goal to dry his gloves. He never did again! Celtic fans turning their back on the Scotland national side because they have no interest in them but go in their tens of thousands to watch an Eire friendly game at Celtic Park! So are Celtic Scottish? They don't seem keen on showing it. Maybe they should follow the example of Hearts and have a saltire on the back of their shirts. How Scottish is that? :thumb04:
  15. fitting that they should get their win by carrying on from Saturday. Diving . Cheating Ba##### :008:
  16. Take your pick from Dods, Munro, Hastings, Tokes, McBain, Rankin, Duncan, Wilson, Dargo or Bayne. Anyone of them could score our 5th in the first half against the 'Tic whilst all other games stay 0-0. I didn't mention Michael Fraser 'cos that would just be stupid! :003:
  17. Confirmed: Mike Newell has now been approached by Borat Sagdiyev to become new manager of Khazakhstan's national team.
  18. He's probably got another job lined up already. Decided to get what he wants by ranting on, getting the sack, pay off from his current club and preventing his new club from paying compensation! More money for him to spend on players in January! He's a winner! :021:
  19. After watching Barca / Chelsea on ITV tonight and the biased crap spoken it is confirmed: Clive Tyldesley is a W####R! :******:
  20. Horror Movies then: Neil Lennon - Annoying little Irish man with an Evil streak - " The Leprichaun" Romanov - Sure to meet your demise if you come together - "The Grim Reaper" Brewster - Big Headed monotone creature which creates mass destruction wherever he goes - " Frankenstein's monster" Chick Young - Squeaky voiced child sized puppet you want to throttle - "Chucky"
  21. Look at it this way. At least we may get some decent pies, considering Delia's connection!

    John Rankin

Too many replies to read so apologies if this was said elsewhere. I just get the impression that Christie refuses to drop him because he is "his" player. The guy he chased for so long and paid a club record fee for. No matter what he does CC will stand by him to either prove a point or that he is afraid to concede that a player he raved about has not been up to standard, So Far! What I have seen this season he has been rotten. Done little and his confidence seems to have lowered week by week. I thought he was bought as an attacking midfielder so I wonder why he hasn't really been played as one? I was sure he would have been hooked instead of Roy on saturday and at the time was amazed he wasn't taken off. Then I thought he had 20 minutes to keep his place in the team. When he did score his first though I cheered louder than anyone and am glad he has the monkey off his back. So good luck to him for the rest of the season and hopefully we might see just what so many others in the game were raving about.
  23. With all the talk of Brewster maybe getting the heave ho, have we overlooked someone maybe more deserving of the chop? Brewster is recent history but someone who most fans loathe and love to see suffer could be next to cash his Giro....... Ian McCall. No wins, fans detest him and he's off swanning around Europe with the BBC giving his expert opinion when he should be at home trying to get his own team sorted out. Which would we prefer? Hmmmmmmmmmm ?
