  1. Do you remember your prediction of taking 12 points of County this season? not really but if I did I'm sure I wasn't the only one...
  2. WOOOOOOSSSSSSSSHHHHH Wouldn't be suprised to hear Jocky's got the boot by the end of the week
  3. Great result when you take into consideration all the other scores in the division sort of glad I didn't travel up for it because watching the results coming in at the pub was torcher enough .. great to see Qos, Dundee, Partick all with loses though...
  4. sorry don't frequent the general forum too often thought someone might have got in there before though.. Jim Bowen, Jocky's favourite TV c*nt of all time.' :004:
  5. Sorry if anyone has posted this elsewhere or you've already had a read but had a good laugh reading through this: Lee the bam Griffiths and Jocky Fritzel blog
  6. bout time our fans started getting behind the youth players... he's only 18 ffs think he needs all the support he can get. He might not be mine, yours or Joe's choice as a replacement for Foran but from the looks of it he'll be on the park Saturday. Think Alex is spot on with this thread
  7. Great goal by Dempsey to win it as well You have to admire what Hodgson has done with Fulham, when all these managers claiming the competition is a hinderance it's great to see a team realise they might never get the oppertunity again and going for it. Was great to watch
  8. If Carlsberg made managers
  9. Um it kinda is since you are saying in your post that he should or will be playing. If you read some of the papers today you'd see he's the favoured choice to replace Foran. And he has the support of the rest of the team in that. Ofcourse he will have the support if he plays, all the team will but I think Butcher is making some strange choices recently which I feel could damage our promotion bid. We need to play our best team, which at the moment doesn't include Ross. He did this last season when he dropped Esson and Mihadjiks (sp?) for a spell. Not sure what is going on with Bulvitis and Sanchez being dropped but we missed Sanchez on sat and especially without Foran we can't afford to be dropping some of our better players, we aren't good enough a team to be doing that. With Foran out we are lacking in players with the ability to create chances in attack and Sanchez is our best option to do that. It is not the time to start messing about with the team. seriously mate... post it on another thread Ross if you're reading all the best mate, make the most of your oppertunity and make yourself an ICT hero
  10. 19 people have voted for County so far... :024: B)  I think some of you have gone soft... they're our rivals ffs!! alex, davie, ocg I take you're points but just asking theoretical question if you don't mind directing all your optimism on the alternative thread.... this is purely for the pessimists
  11. . for example your favourite for the job Robbo, apart from what he achieved with ICT he has done poorly at Hearts, C*unty and Livi... does that make him a bad manager?? Maybe you should go back and check who my favourite candidate was at the time. Can't be ersed..
  12. That would be an achievement which would surely earn TB a sainthood. Well he'd better get his sunday best out as if we can win the home games, which is very possible, plus grab a couple of away wins at Mordor and Air then draws away to Plastic and Queens then St Terry will be born. I was thinking more along the lines of that if he managed to take the SPL title this season then he would have the first miracle under his belt. Now that is optimistic :)
  13. He's here because we needed a manager and he was the best choice available (in the board's opinion) at that time. He has always done well when paired with Malpas and he is doing so now.. doesn't matter a jot what he's done elsewhere because if he gets us promoted he has been a success at our club. Managers do well at different clubs for different reasons.. for example your favourite for the job Robbo, apart from what he achieved with ICT he has done poorly at Hearts, C*unty and Livi... does that make him a bad manager?? Pele, won 2 promotions with ICT yet couldn't hack it at Aberdeen or Peterhead, does that make him a bad manager??? Brewster..... well yeh he's p!sh but I think you get my point You are welcome to your opinion Rene but I think you need to look at what's currently being achieved rather than discriminate against hi, because of what's gone in the past
  14. would prefer they didn't  Sorry manny.. hopefully they can do us a favour with other results but IMO they don't have much chance of getting near the top. .... and it's my OP so there
  15. :( I was considering sticking them in because I noticed your post on another thread but decided there is no chance of it happening....
  16. More like before the game against Falkirk last season I would ask you keep your cynicism to yourself though.. this thread is all about the positives and at the moment we have plenty Enjoy them.. they might not last
  17. Since I started my optimistic thread, I thought I'd write up something for all you 'half empty' supporters. Do you vote Dungdee because of your unbridled hate for Dingwall and anything that comes from it or because the Dees are already an 'SPL club' and are more likely to give it a go in the top division? Or, would you prefer C*unty to make it there for the good of the highlands and the fact Lee Griffith's is a pr!ck? For me, I can't imagine anything worse than watching the Dingwall tinks play on some 3rd rate satellite channel while we're stuck listening to daft radio presenters fight amongst themselves to shout a scoreline on open all mics.... even contemplating it makes me feel ill If it come down to the last day of the season, we can't get promoted and have a say on who out of the 2 goes up I hope Tokely sticks 5 in our own net. thoughts?
  18. To be fair he could be hit by a bus before Saturday... Playing him on a Monday game leaves 5 days to recover, which is more than plenty... also he could have just as easily been injured in training. I'm sure Terry put out a strong squad and said beforehand they are playing for a place... nothing wrong with that IMO
  19. I don't care what he did elsewhere, I'd rather go on the fact that he has one of, if not, the best win percentage since Pele. You're argument about the league doesn't stand up... you manage the team you have, in the league they're in he can't do anything else but try and get the wins. No other teams will touch him because he's our manager... are you actually comparing to Butcher to Sir Alex Ferguson here? Have you asked yourself why a manager with decent calibre would come anywhere near ICT?? I'm not for a second suggesting he's the answer to all our problems but he is what we have and he's obviously doing all he can for ICT and at the moment a lot of what he's doing is working. I don't buy into the "we live in a blame culture" boll0x but after reading your last sentence I see what they mean. You have no idea what went on behind the scenes or what influenced Butcher's decisions at that time... it was his decision to make and he was obviously doing what he thought was neccesary to keep us in the division. If Tokely doesn't get caught on the wrong side of Higdon (?) then you would be kissing the ground he walked on for it being a piece of genius. We were relegated and he was incharge at the time but to say that it was his fault when we were in such a dire hole before he arrived is well off the mark
  20. I'm not quite a believer... I have already called for Butcher's head once or twice this season. At Christmas I was more concerned that we were looking down the table rather than upward, it seemed that Butcher was set to leave at the end of the season anyway and the team looked a complete and utter mess. Now time for some Rafa Benitez syle "phacts": phact 1, We are 3 points from the league leaders phact 2, We have the best away record in the division phact 3, We have the top goal scorer in the division phact 4, We are the form team in the division phact 5, Butcher & Malpas have signed on for next season no matter what phact 6, We have started signing up players (although some senior players would be nice) phact 7, Dundee aren't the world beaters we once thought they were phact 8, We haven't been beaten at home this year phact 9, We have Jonny Hayes phact 10, None of this matters if we get beat on Saturday Kidding.... even if the worst happens there is still plenty to play for so I hope everyone realises it's never over until it's over. It seems to be doom and gloom on this forum but this is most positive I've felt about ICT in a long time.. we need to show some support for the team and Butcher even if they are performing as we'd like on the park or Butcher's making one or 2 more changes than you think he should be. ... and after saying all that am I hypocrite for not coming this Saturday?
  21. I think he mucked up by letting Imrie go for tuppence ha'penny as well - seems like he wasn't good enough to play for us regularly in division 1, yet he seems to have started virtually every game Hamilton have played in the SPL since he went there. Our record since Imrie left the club is almost flawless + if we didn't sell Imrie for what we did he would have walked for nothing in the Summer
  22. I think that's the worst post you've made since the 2-4-5 formation one. If he wasn't a very good manager, why would we be sitting 3 points behind the leaders with the best form in the division, top goal scorers in the division, arguably his signing, Jonny Hayes, could win the best player in the division??? I am not suggesting he's perfect.. infact I still have reservations on a number of things currently, why Bully's been dropped when we are just getting to the business end of the season... but I'd rather point out the aspects he's done well and there are a lot more of them than negatives... The fact people are bemoaning the standard of football after we won a match to put us in touching distance of the title testifies to that. You really need to drop this "Butcher got us relegated" cr@p.. he might have made a couple of bad decisions in important matches but we wouldn't have been anywhere near that position if he hadn't have made the right decisions beforehand to get us there. We were gone when Butcher arrived and the team made a valiant effort to survive but didn't... get over it.
  23. I didn't think playing Ross was the most worrying thing, after all he scored (as easy as it might have been) and we won but I am concerned that he's dropped Bully.. not because Tokely is playing at centre half but I don't think Proctor is a great right back. Possibly worried about the team burning out with the number of games recently but I don't know what Bully's done to deserve being dropped, thought he was excellent against Dee and likewise Tokely had the best game (I've seen) at right back
  24. Or in your case, use it as another excuse for some Butcher-Bashing. Where's the clutching at straws smiley? And anyway, saying anything other than Butcher is the greatest thing to happen to world ever, seem to be a crime on here these days. Or is that just when it comes to me? I think it's more for the fact that recently every post you make on this forum suggests dis-content with Butcher..... or you believe because you're a wizz with Football manager that you could do a better job than him in real life. For the fact that Butcher has engineered ICT to 3 points behind the league leaders when we looked dead and buried at Christmas and he's rarely put a foot wrong since then suggests you might be "clutching at straws"... remember, Butcher has only 1 go when he plays a game of football... unlike Football manager he doesn't have the option of quitting the game and replaying the match
