  1. Not really mate, I think it looks really nice with long sleaves as well as having a collar.. (very few strips seem to have collars now-a-days).. unfortunately, because it's reebok our strip wont look anything like it.. or if it does it will be a cheap imitation. Our's will probably look more like IHE's suggestion :P
  2. I find the whole thing quite comical tbh but I am actually feeling sorry for Wayne Bridge. The BBC headline yesterday said it all "Bridge turns back on England team" followed by the unofficial/official blog from Phil McNulty (whoever he is) slating Bridge for being a deserter. He hasn't turned his back on his country... he just can't imagine playing in the same 11 as the former "friend" that slept with the mother of his child!! I'd find it difficult to be on the same planet as someone if they slept with my mrs never mind, being instructed by him on what to do when it came to sorting out the line for offside or positions on defending corners. This is an example of everything I hate about the English media when they start getting caught up with World cup expectations... The game this Saturday should be interesting none the less.. Chelsea vs Man City... I'd love to see Bridge stick a 2 footed challenge in on Terry. So what do you think if it was the same scenario for someone who played for Scotland??? (sort of links in with the other thread with Malpas' opinions)
  3. too late now mate you've been outed... just as well I'm too old for grooming. :P I spend my time in a lot of clubs with 5hit Dj's
  4. now I'm concerned... :P
  5. I'd never admit to that on a internet forum... could land you in all sorts of trouble
  6. eeewww you quoted black eyed peas... be ashamed... very ashamed!!
  7. :P :D I agree
  8. Watched a bit of the CSKA vs Sevilla match last night and like the look of their strip.. they have to have one of the best club badges I've seen as well.. looks like something from a comic book
  9. Started snowing in Glasgow as well.... not an expert on meteorology but imagine it's just going to get worse up your way
  10. 8 games in March, Butcher ain't happy... next month will make or brake our season.. I think we have the squad to cope with it though P&J Clicky
  11. I hate Gary Lineker... there's just something not quite right about him
  12. My tickets were delivered today :P I think that's a very strong squad, strongest for a while IMO and more balanced than normal.... it's also worth noting that all the players picked are Scottish born. (not sure if that's coincidence or not) I'm happy to see Commons out.. (cos he's p!sh).. and although Dixon is untested I'm delighted that Danny (I can't defend for 5hit) Fox isn't there either The only way the likes of Kenneth/Dixon are ever going to get better is by giving them the oppertunity at this level... it's nice to see a manager looking to the SPL teams first before assuming if the players moved down south or to the OF they are better. Encouraged at the moment but I'll wait and see what happens in March My team: Gordon Hutton Caldwell Berra Wallace Whittaker D.Fletcher Brown* McFadden Boyd S.Fletcher * would prefer he wasn't in the team but we don't have many better options
  13. Is that a fact LG? If so, that is a ridiculous decision by the club. We were in a relegation fight every season we spent in the the SPL and I find it hard to believe the board wouldn't have taken this into consideration. I couldn't produce the paperwork, but it is certainly a widely held belief that this is/was the case. I'd prefer to base an opinion on facts instead of informed sources, as reliable as they may be, but if this is true it is the biggest example to date of how niave our board of directors are. I'm all for the club showing ambition but neglecting the possibility of relegation is an incredible oversight. I don't know who is providing legal advice to the club but based on this (if true) and the Niculae saga they really need to consider different options.

  15. Good to see the club communicating with the fanbase on this. Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the matter, which will obviously be fully determined in due course, it's nice to see that they're communicating with us and putting their perspective /position across (which Niculae has already done through various outlets). It may be later than the fanbase would have liked, but a positive step nonetheless. my thoughts exactly
  16. Nice one.. when did cto start getting press releases?? Quality ;)
  17. That's the Genoa strip isn't it??
  18. Not really as we did get relegated ect. Aye, on the face of it, his win record is okay, but it's just a shame he doesn't win the important games. think that's a fair point... on the face of it his win percentage is excellent (you can only beat what's infront of you) but Rene's right he is yet to win what would be classed as an 'important game'. Rangers & St Mirren from last season were possibly still classed as his honeymoon period but since then the Motherwell game, Falkirk game, 2 C*unty games & Dundee games we are yet to get 3 points. He's got a good record but until he starts winning the crucial fixtures I am a non believer.
  19. It's all meant in good humour (certainly on my part) but even you have to admit some of your selections are leftfield
  20. well at least you think it would work and that's the important thing.. I play amateur football against a lot of unorganised teams and when they are down by a couple of goals they probaby revert to a similar 2-3-5 (i.e. all out attack) and it just makes it easier for us to pick them off.... there is a very good reason you don't see managers even considering this type of formation
  21. Think this would be fair enough if his hands were by his side, but the fact that he's got his arms in the air would blow it out the water methinks.. Not totally sure though. For the fact he raised his arms and gained an advantage from it the goal shouldn't have stood..... ah well.... 5hit happens
  22. :) Without reading up on this I will guarentee you the reason that they no longer play 2-3-5 is because of wingers and attacking full backs....if they only had 2 in defence then there is no one to cover the wide areas and the opposing team would see this and overload it
  23. To be fair at least they are doing something, which is a lot more than can be said for the SPL. As painful as it is to say the EPL leads the way for every other league in the world because they are willing to adapt and develop. I am sick of watching the SPL and have been for sometime... until someone has the balls to make real changes to our league set up we will be struggling financially
  24. Mark had a lot riding on this verdict, and this has been hanging over him for well over a year now... Remember as well, all this for something he didn't do, as the court have confirmed. All you've ever done is been against us DC, and I have no doubt that you would have been far happier with a guilty verdict regardless of the fact that the lads were innocent. :) I wouldn't worry about it mate, DC hasn't got a f*cking clue and is just looking for a reaction. If he was face to face with these boys or anyone else on this forum I'm sure he wouldn't be half as brave.
