  1. meh :P
  2. fair enough, not so laughable though If we are going to stay with this formation for next season we really need a player similar to Gardyne or find another Bingham from somewhere
  3. Was speaking to Roy in the bogs in Dumfries* and was saying it was a shocker not to see him on the pitch for his testimonial year. Delighted he got picked yesterday and I'm sure it would have been great for morale around the changing room *this is not a Keogh story
  4. Is he one of the few that have signed contract extensions at C*unty?? I think everyone just realises that Odi & Sanchez wont cut it in the SPL and with C*unty soon to be established as our feeder club then Gardyne is a good fit...
  5. Can't offer this sort of criticism without naming your own potential targets... money where your mouth is RIG????
  6. Where do you get that opinion from? Watched him on 4 occasions now and every game he's been one of, if not, the best player on the park. I also like the fact that you can use that he scores freekicks on a regular basis as a bad thing.. if anything that's something we're severly lacking at the moment. He's a perfect fit for ICT but can't see us signing him ahead of Dundee You only say that because you're posting for a reaction.
  7. well said
  8. sorry should have seen this thread before posting my own... feel free to amalgamate  :D
  9. Och behave yersel , lets just enjoy today , the Spl we can start worrying about in August ! tru dat.... it's PARTY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. tuuunnnnnnnnnneeeeeeee!!!!! that's what I'm talking about *Disclaimer... possibly all of my facts are wrong but I care not.... it's fecking party time now where's my pina colada?? :D
  11. There is no excuses left for the board now.. they have to get these guys signed up pronto
  12. Fecking great results today.. 1 point wins the league and even if we don't manage that Dundee have to overcome a goal difference of 18 in only 3 games Absolutely tremendous work by Terry, Maurice and every player associated... 19 games unbeaten, 7 wins on the trot... who'd have thought it (apart from Wilsononourwing)? Not only to catch up with Dundee from a 13 point headstart but to be in this position with 2 games to play is exceptional work. Can't wait for the next 2 weeks because the party has unoffically started. :D  :wave03: :wave03: :blob04: :blob05: :blob07: :blob06: :blob08: I'd just like to thank all the referees for their assistance... we couldn't have done it without you
  13. IMO we need: left back (Bob Harris or Morrison) attacking mid (Gardyne) centre half (Pavels) right winger (Brittain or Gibson)
  14. AYE + As many stragglers as I can find
  15. Tuffey Tokely Keddie Munro Harris Mason Duncan Griffiths Gardyne Foran Rooney Too difficult... need a 'renegade formation' so I can include Hayes, Harkins, Brittain, Graham, Gibson, Kirk quite difficult to think of decent defenders though and not many centre mids of note
  16. I wasn't alive for any of that.. but take your point.
  17. It was Feyenoord, but the ?650,000 paid was certainly one of the bargains of the century. FFS!!! So close to having a factually correct post.... where's that knife?
  18. Who said he was pish? I was merely implying that a prolific goalscorer from the lower leagues may be attractive to Brewster in light of the contract he gave Barrowman. Not getting at you mate.. or really anyone in particular but at the time he was getting games for ICT he received dogs abuse on this forum.
  19. Rory is going to be a top player and all of you lot that barrated him as a 19 year old player coming through the ranks will be forced to admit you know absolutely f*ck all about football Shocking the way that one of our own was treated by a bunch of internet goons that have probably never kicked a ball before in their lives. Lets hope the next time we have a player with some promise that we learn to give them a chance before labelling them as p!sh
  20. Have you tried watching dutch football?? Next to the SPL the Eredivisie is one of the poorest leagues in Europe... ffs Steve McLaren is on the verge of winning the title there with FC Twente :025: Our football's got no worse, if Mowbray hadn't made a c*ck up of the money Celtic gave him then we don't even have this conversation. Robbie Keane is playing for celtic, which is just as, if not more impressive than Gascoigne or Laudrup.... and Larsson wasn't bought at his peak he was picked up from some 2nd rate swedish team for peanuts. I think the best way to gauge our league is by looking at the players that have been bought by the EPL and compete on a regular basis... Gordon (Sunderland) Hutton (Sunderland) McFadden (Birmingham) Ferguson (Birmingham) O'Connor (Birmingham) Berra (Wolves) Fletcher (Burnley) not to mention the likes of Dorrans and Adams in the Championship ...stick them back into the SPL and we make it a much more competitve league. We are still producing the same talent but we don't have the money to compete with the likes of Championship clubs so they are leaving Scotland early. There definitely has to be changes to the division though, at the moment with such a small division and only 1 promotion spot from the first division the bottom 6 sides are playing with a constant fear of relegation because they have such a limited oppertunity to get back... you only need to look around us at Dundee, Dunfermline & Partick. It's a win or die attitude from the first game of the season which leaves no space to try and play football... if the SPL is increased and the promotion places increased then you would have more variety in managers, players and most of all standard in football
  21. The teams in the SPL would never go for a 16 team league as they would lose 8 games, even an enhanced league cup would never cover that as the attendances in them would be poor, even if it was regionalised, remember we played County in the semi final of the challenge cup and the crowd was below 3,000 If it was the league cup it would have been full attendance.. I know what you mean but the truth is there isn't an answer that will please everyone. With fewer games in a season it might have a positive effect because more people would attend the smaller pool of games... and each game would carry more relevance
  22. 16 team SPL with a revamped League cup which includes regaional group stage to provide the additional games and revenue. :)
  23. Elgin fans... f*ck going a long to watch that tripe they are without doubt the best fans on the planet Didn't realise Borough Briggs was sold out every home game ! if anything that shows their dedication to the cause... it's not as if they go a long to to follow a crowd or because it's popular to do so (i.e. either of the OF). Pure and utter devotion to their team, the idea and likely hood of Elgin never winning anything or competing at a higher level doesn't put them off... when some people say why bother there is still a number (not many) that still go along. That's support for you
  24. Elgin fans... f*ck going a long to watch that tripe they are without doubt the best fans on the planet
