Roll call for dungwall
I'm not using it as an excuse not to go if that's what you mean (got plenty of them... the jip I get from the mrs being the main one)... no, I'm getting the nerves already thinking about it.. I couldn't handle it if we lost at least if I'm at home I can switch off all media devices and pretend it didn't happen but having to drive home for 3 hours after the last 2 defeats was horrendous

Roll call for dungwall
I can do little else but admire that devotion Harry, but will you not feel helluva guilty if we lose and it's all down to being one voice short in the crowd? Just one well time shout of encouragement from you could be the difference between victory and defeat? How could you do that to us? Selfish! B) I don't want the blame if it all goes pete tong Na honestly, been thinking about this game for a while now and my mind is made up. Hopefully it's the right decision

Roll call for dungwall
I'll be hiding behind my sofa at home.. travelled up the road for the last 2 and couldn't handle it if we lost again. + think we'll have more luck without me... I've only managed to see the team win once all season.

If County get to the cup final...
I'm drinking what he's drinking Get to f*ck... I wouldn't dream of ever supporting them for any reason what so ever.

Winning ugly
Don't think I've ever heard you so negative Manny I wasn't at the game and by all accounts it sounds like we were brutal to watch but that is the sort of game we would have lost earlier in the season. 3 points are 3 points, we're touching distance of the top of the league now, which comes with it's own pressure. The idea of playing pretty football has to go out of the window because it's all about who can scrape together the most points than the other I'm sure on the last day of the season, if promoted, no one is going to be complaining about how poorly we played against Morton.

Winning ugly
It's not as if we've played bad all season ffs, 1 essential game which has put us only 3 points behind Dundee. We played Dundee off the park in the challenge cup and 2 weeks ago but still didn't come out with a result... is anyone actually telling me they would prefer that? I think some of our fans need a reality check... we were dead and buried at Christmas and now find ourselves with the best form in the division, the best goals ratio and in with a real shout of promotion.

Team for County
Or in your case, use it as another excuse for some Butcher-Bashing. tru dat I'd go (dependent on suspensions): Esson Tokely Bully Munro Golly Hayes Duncan Cox Proctor Odhiambo Rooney Solid as possible, win the battle in the centre and use the pace of Odhiambo and Hayes on the flanks. If not working bring on Sanchez for whichever of the 3 centre mids is playing the poorest

Wingers On The Wrong Sides
Reasons why: When you are playing with 1 forward it makes sense to have at least one winger that can cut onto their favoured foot and join the attack. For example... Man U play with Rooney up top and either Park or Nani cutting in from the left. Barca play with one up top and have Messi cutting in from the right. Milan have Ronaldinho, Bayern have Robben (did anyone see his goal last week B) ) & Ribery, Arsenal have Arshavin all of them play on the opposite of what you would call their favoured side. I have used Champions league teams because they are the most recognisable but the majority of teams use the same tactic now-a-days... I play right wing with my amateur team and I'm naturally left footed!! It's very difficult for a full back to defend against a player that can cut inside, when defending they can pull into midfield and strengthen the centre of the park, they offer more of a goal threat cutting in and more to the point with Rooney playing in the centre on his own against 2 centre halves he is unlikely to win a header if the winger was making runs to the bye line and crossing the ball

The Beckham home coming
I think he's underrated because people think he's so overrated :) Media darling he may be but he's still one of the most technically gifted players to come out of Britain....

Dundee getting the jitters?
I prefer to think of the first being a sublime strike from Kerr and the second some jinky trickery from GGH to leave 3 defenders flatfooted followed by a speculatiuve strike that got just reward for his efforts :D there was also a stick on penalty in the first half when Shinnie was brought down,Griffiths had a couple of efforts and Hutchie a fair effort knocked over by Easson, that said, you's should have been well oota sight by the time Kerr struck.................. Spose it depends whaur yer sitting eh  Come off it mate, I drove a Dundee fan back and forth to the game and even his specs weren't tinted that dark blue.... Dundee created no more half chances.. even the goals Your team relies heavily on Harkins & Griffiths... from what I hear Harkins picks and chooses his games to perform so it's really down to Griffiths. Ex-tink, Higgins is a decent player but you've paid the wages for Hutchinson so Jocky is probably under pressure to play him instead even if he is attrocious (if there's so much money in the pot why let Curier go on loan?). Shinnie looked average and your defence is more suspect than ours I think we definitely have a better team, it's just whether we started our comeback too late

Foran out.
either: Duncan Proctor Odhiambo Cox Hayes Rooney or Duncan Cox Odhiambo Sanchez Hayes Rooney Foran was excellent in the Dee match, doing the hard work so Hayes & Odhiambo had more space... big blow but as Mannie says better to get it out the way now. I hope this isn't the start of players missing games due to suspensions & injuries.. we have a big squad for the division but if anything happened to Hayes or Rooney I'm not sure we could cope

The Offside Rule
The best suggestion I've heard: Instead of extra time... MULTI BALL :) but seriously football is the best game in the world and doesn't need changed (just tweaks here and there)

Dundee -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Made it and was nearly worth the abuse I received from the mrs. First grumble... all those chanting "Easy Easy Easy" after we were 2-0 up, LEARN. FFS it was only 3 (?) months ago we royally fecked the Challenge cup final against the same team!!! In future please refrain from this sort of chant until we have at least 3 goals in our favour... we deserved the abuse we got because of this stupidity Second grumble... 2-0 and we f*cked it up... again!!!! Have to say though, similar to the Challenge cup final, Butcher had us set up perfectly, tactics were absolutely spot on. I think he suprised every fan with his team selection and after it's difficult to question any of the players he brought in so Kudos to Butcher. Esson I think it was a bad day at the office for Esson, his positioning for both goals is terrible... Kerr's shot has almost landed in the centre of the goal, it doesn't matter how much swerve or power it was hit with if Esson was in the right position he catches that. Second goal has taken a wicked deflection but again, if Esson is standing on his line then he saves it, he at least gets close enough to attempt a dive... it seemed to take an age to trickle into the net. Might be harsh on Esson because Harkins should never have been given the space to let off a shot but I'm sure he wont be happy that either shot got passed him. Tokely :) :) :) :) :) MOTM Best performance of the season (that I've seen). Griffiths is still trying to find his way out of Rossco's back pocket. Positionally he was back to his old self, won every challenge he went in for and never wasted possesion... played an absolute stormer and deserved to be on the winning team Golly :) :) :) :) Did well but was caught for pace on a couple of occasions, should be a 3 but gets an extra smilie for that challenge on Griffiths Munro :) :) :) Defensively was excellent, kicked and headed anything that moved but he was far too quick to punt the ball upfront without trying to pick out a pass. Munro's one of my favourite players in an ICT shirt but I understand where Renegade's coming from and can't help thinking he might be a better player without the arm band Bully :) :) :) Looked a bit shakey at times but stuck to his task well throughout the 90 Duncan :) :) :) Played well, got stuck in but either him or Proctor should have closed Harkins Cox :) :) :) Again played well, looked a bit lost when Proctor was on and he was asked to go further up the pitch Hayes :) :) :) :) :) Electric as always, everything positive came from him and he never stopped. It was interesting comparing him to the highly rated Griffiths... I know who I'd rather Foran :) :) :) :) Dunno why he decided to cut infield when he was through on goal but apart from that he was excellent. Won numerous headers against their defenders and is an important cog in the machine. Took his goal well Odhiambo :) :) :) :) I think he deserves a bit more credit than what he's getting on here... ok he was a bit rusty when he came on.. a couple bad touches here and there but him & Hayes running kept Dundee on the back foot throughout the match. Got himself a goal (anyone else think he was offside) and was involved in almost every attack. Sorry manny but he gets my vote over Sanchez Rooney :) :) :) :) Our talisman.. chased everything, held the ball up and had both their defenders wondering what day it was. He lookded especially good when compared with the numpty they had upfront, Ben Hutchinson.. Subs: Proctor :) Didn't really have much of an impact but it was either him or Duncan that failed to close down Harkins Sanchez :) Touched the ball once and lost it, not fair to judge him with so little time on the park though Would have taken a draw beforehand but we deserved all 3... the fact they celebrated a draw like a win shows they are hanging on to top spot by their finger nails

Judgement Day?
I posted something similar last time we played Dundee, we drew and now look to be in a better position than ever to challenge for promotion. No... Dundee aren't as strong an outfit as I first thought, we are a lot better than I first thought and seem to be one of the most consistent teams in the league now. I think we'll win but if we drew this match Dundee are still catchable

Michael Owen
yeh maybe a bit heartless but it's just constant with him... I'm sure he's made more than enough money over his career to compensate his 6 figure weekly salary at Newcastle for example, he managed about 10 full games in 3 years
