Has anyone found out the reason why Granty thew his captains arm band at Fraser? ... or why Rossco had his hand to his ear and finger to mouth when celebrating the goal? Was he telling us to be quiet?
-
Possibly, I think 3 of our players could have been at fault. Need to see the replay but the problem started from Caff being turned too easily and giving up the chase, Munro tried to match Clarkson's (?) run and went in for a stupid lunge because he didn't have the pace... Clarkson fell over making no attempt to get the football and conned the ref but to be fair Munro made it easy for him.. a complete shambles

he works hard, tracking back and going forward and everything that was good today in the first half included him and Duncan in some part of the move... basically he does the simple things well and even managed to get a couple of crosses into the box. :010: It's a choice between him and Rankin, Rankin is excellent going forward but offers little going back and when things aren't going our way we need the guys that will offer more consistency.

:001: :001: :001: :001: I have had my beer and wine.. I'm happy now! That's no reflection on Bayne btw, just badly missed a in the box goal scorer. Niculae, Bayne and Wyness all seem to do the same job and judging by the performance today Niculae has the full package although needs to get his fitness up. What annoyed me about Caff today was his lack of determination, he has been given his chance and needs to step up to the plate but I saw him pu55ie out of at least 3 50/50 headers... Granty isn't that big either so we need at least one guy that can challenge in the air. Last season Granty played more of a sweeper and cleaned up after Dods had done the nitty gritty stuff, we badly missed that today.

na but you've saved me the trouble :tic01:

I get what you are saying but I have yet to meet a striker that isn't up his own @rse, it comes with the territory. He seemed to mix it, which was my main concern with bringing in a foreign player but he at least showed that he wont be pushed over.. he needs to play with a goal scorer though and Wyness played too deep rather than playing off him.

We can't have a centre half that can't head a ball and Caff bottled it on a few occasions today and his positioning leading up to the penalty decision was the problem. If I was pointing a finger it would be at the the centre of defence and although Munro had a poor game by his standards he seemed to be doing all the work in the middle and that probably lead to his frustration. I don't see how you can have a go at IHE for blaming the new guy when we total your posts re McAllister over the last week.

Sorry mate I would completely disagree, in the first half he was easily head and shoulders above everyone, touch of class I thought. He seemed to mix it when he needed to but held the ball well and made plenty of headers and with purpose I just thought he was playing with the wrong person... imagine Dargo and Niculae upfront... we would have scored 3+ in the first half IMO. I thought in the second half he looked tired but probably because he hasn't made a full first team game in almost a year, which has to be expected. I think we can expect big things from him, it seemed as though the Scottish game will suit him well he just needs to find the net!

To be honest - I dont feckin know. It just felt really bad today and I would love to be challenged on that. I will not mention names but I suspect that CC is favouring some when others feel that they are not worthy. We have changed our defensive style to accomodate Caff and I dont think ANY of the other defenders are too happy about it. Niculae is arrogant but if he gets fit and plays fer the team that could be a real PLUS. But then again WHY did CC not hook him early into the 2nd half when he was clearly fecked. Denzil looked totally pissed and maybe a few others did as well. As fer Deano - he may have come on late but he did NOT look interested. IMO we had the right team on the field today and the first half probably reflected that but we badly missed a leader at the back, in the second half I have never seen us so disorganised, I thouhts Dods would be our biggest loss this season and today you could see that. When things were falling apart we needed someone to keep their head on the pitch and lead the way but it seemed everyone was looking for an excuse or someone to blame. If we had some discipline that should have been an easy 3 points today, make no mistake about it Motherwell were pesh and there for the taking, we just missed the solidarity that has served us well for the last 12+ years. Was really disappointed today, not just because of the result or the last minute penalty but by how easy it was for us to give up. Unless we find the fight we have had for seasons previous we are going to have a loooonnnggg season!!

Have to say apart from his shuffle into the box I wasn't overly impressed with him today

Fraser Tokely McCaffrey New signing Munro Hastings Duncan Cowie Hart Mcbain Bayne Goalscorer Niculae
-
Cowie, Niculae, Rossco and maybe McBain were the best players on the park today... if only Cowie hadn't have tried to chip that one on one we would have been celebrating a win IMO

What a mess Granty throwing away the captains arm band? Granty having almost a set to with Duncan? Why did Granty enter the field by himself miles before anyone else had for the start of the second half? What was said at half time that made us play so poorly? Why does Caff look scared every time he goes for a header? Tokely telling our fans to be quiet after he scored and cupping his hands round his ears when we were chanting his name? Why play 2 forwards upfront that look more comfortable outside the box? When did Black turn into a poor Barry back pass Ferguson? Am I reading too much into this? all in all a very disappointing game/performance we looked excellent in the first half and we looked sooo disjointed in the second half. We need a leader/centre half at the back and if Granty ain't up to the job then we need to get someone in that will!!
-
So you were on his back from the start... you should be proud to be one of the first! Bayne is just back from injury and Niculae hasn't seen first team football in almost a year, so we are kind of short of options. I agree though McAllister had a rotten game last week but so did half the team CC didn't name McAllister as one of the players he had stayed loyal to.. or one of the players he want's to change. Have you ever seen Rory not give his all or go in half hearted for a challenge? He seems to be trying harder each game, probably due to the criticism he receives here. It is all very good criticising a player but it's almost a hate campaign. Leaving a game because he starts a match??

it was Pete not me :023:

If you're turning up to games with that sort of attitude then I stick by my original statement... it's not just criticism, you are jumping on the bandwagon by getting on this lad's back. If you would prefer to walkout rather than get behind the team then do so.. just seems like a very wanky attitude! If you are so offended by that one comment then think how McAllister must feel when he sees all the cr@p that you and your merry men have been writing on a daily basis.

erm... w**ker!
-
I'll be there + whoever else I can bring along
-
I'd play him at centre half... it would be alot easier to find a right back
-
Tokely doesn't do it every match and Black (hopefully not anymore) looked for a yellow card by making at least one awful challenge every match. It wasn't one incident that got the fans backs up about Black but a run of them... speaking of Black... ouch

Sky Link "It's been a real adventure here and it's one I'll never forget, but I need a fresh challenge. "This is no reflection on all the help and support I've had here because I'm leaving some really good friends. "I'd also like to say a special thank you to all the supporters who have shouted for me these last six years and who voted me as the player of the year last season. "That was a special moment that will always live with me. "I think the team will do well under Chris Huthchings and I'm sure the supporters will get the success they deserve." The only reason he is leaving is because he is a life long Everton fan, I'm glad to see some players do give a cr@p about the fans.

remember the last international we got from County :023:
-
Daily Ger Nothing mentioned about Boyd's challenge surprise surprise :023: Tokely should have gone to be fair but I think at that point a few of the players lost all discipline not just him... he's just the biggest

I thought we definitely missed Duncan covering the back 4, Rory and Wyness were both terrible, Rankin and McBain went missing and Black's head went down as soon as they scored. We didn't have the fight we had last season and I hate to say it that comes down to Munro, if he is going to lead the team onto the field he needs to be the one screaming at them when they are on it, and from where I was sitting (in a bar on byers road) he seemed to let the game pass him by. I think CC was spot on with his interview after the match but as said elsewhere it is all good and well saying that after, he needs to give up on any loyalty he has with certain players and start making the difficult decisions. I wouldn't overhaul the team but if we don't get a centre half in quickly we could be in relegation mixer for the majority of the season. If we don't include Hart in our starting line up next week then I would have to question CC's thinking. Next weekend is a big match for us, we need all 3 IMO
