  1. The Supporters’ Trust has suggested two dates to ICTFC for a public meeting regarding the future of the Singing Section. We await a response from the club regarding which date would suit them best to send along representatives who can tell fans about their plans and answer questions. The dates proposed are Tuesday, 26th June and Wednesday, 27th June. Once a date and venue have been confirmed we'll let you know.
  2. My predictions for first round of matches are Falkirk (h) Rangers (a) Gretna (h) Killie (a) Dundee United (h) Motherwell (a) Hearts (a) Celtic (h) Hibs (h) Aberdeen (a) St Mirren (h) :004: :004:
  3. I've been there while killing a few minutes on the way to Hampden. Well worth a visit and just a little eerie.
  4. Thank you IHE.
  5. First of all, Scotty, the above statement is not DJS speaking but the Supporters' Trust. Now, though, DJS will have his say. Comment 1 - I think the club is somewhat horrified at what has happened and there is a determination from the Chairman that it not happen again. However, he certainly does not want to see the Singing Section strangled at birth which is good. Comment 2 - No and don't know yet Comment 3 - Only time will tell but the Trust will keep pressing them on this one. Comment 4 - Hear or Listen? - Take your pick. We can do both. If any future Singing Section must be all seated it may never get off the ground (poor choice of words, I know) and supporters need to be consulted about that. There is no point in the club arranging something if it is not wanted. What is clear is that we cannot expect ICT to say that a standing Singing Section will be ok because they simply can't do that. Some Glasgow based bureaucrat would be on their case in no time. The Supporters' Trust has argued with the club for some time that the approach to fans standing needs to be consistent and uniform. Telling 20 people to sit down when you are unwilling to tell 2000 cannot be defended. The Trust can't run away from what happened on Saturday because we were involved in arranging the event. I honestly don't think we could have foreseen the heavy handed approach of police and stewards because we have never seen such an approach before at TCS. I hope we never do again and we will work towards that end. We have spoken to some of those who were ejected and it would be good to speak to the others. I am conscious as I type that we have not spoken to IHE yet and I will do that. The media interest in this has been quite remarkable and Les Kidger, in particular, has been very busy dealing with TV, radio and the papers. That actually started around half-time on Saturday.
  6. Representatives of both the ICT Supporters Trust and the Football Club met today (Tuesday) to discuss the Singing Section at Saturday’s match with Dunfermline. The Trust took to the Club the concerns of fans about events at the game. It is clear that much can be learned from what happened and further dialogue and investigations are required to complete this process. However, we are pleased that the Football Club remains committed to the Singing Section becoming a permanent fixture at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. The Trust will arrange a meeting for fans in the near future, to which club representatives will be invited, to hear how fans feel this initiative should be taken forward.
  7. What nonsense! It's a well known fact that the west end of anywhere is where people aspire to be - London, Glasgow, Edinburgh etc etc. The East End is always a dump - London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness etc etc. Always lived on the west side of the river and proud of it. :001:
  8. The board of the Supporters' Trust met today (Sunday) and discussed the concerns raised by fans about events in the Singing Section at Saturday's game. We have received a large number of messages and emails from concerned supporters and we are presently collating information and will issue a further statement in due course. The Chairman of the Supporters' Trust, Les Kidger, and the Chairman of the Football Club, Alan Savage, have spoken today and the Trust will be seeking a meeting with the club later this week. The Singing Section certainly helped to improve the atmosphere at Saturday's game and it is important that the difficulties experienced do not hinder the development of this important initiative.
  9. The Supporters Trust was involved in the organising of the Singing Section and naturally we are very concerned at the way things turned out today. We will be seeking a meeting with the club to discuss this at the earliest opportunity after which we will comment further. In the meantime, if anyone wishes to contact the Trust about the Singing Section, please send me a Personal Message.
  10. How about this place?
  11. A historic, remarkable and exciting day. I honestly thought Scotland would lose its bottle but not so. Interesting we now have two ICT fans at Holyrood - Dave Stewart and Dave Thompson.
  12. It just seems like a couple of weeks ago since he was wandering about with his arm in a sling. Does seem a bit risky, I agree.
  13. Vote 1 SNP Vote 2 SNP
  14. I ain't laughing either. And who was the guy in the ICT shirt that ran onto the pitch at the end giving the County fans the V's? That idiot was an embarrassment and spoiled the good name of our fans. :020:
  15. Oh how the Scots hated him and Emlyn Hughes - and they hated us back. Sad they are both gone now.
  16. What a name! I love it. Is the owner out there? :015:
  17. Self employed male model and driving instructor.
  18. Alex, if you're going to go all the way to Denmark to attend a game, the least you can do is watch it. :003: Yep, it was the post match riot after the Scottish Cup Final in 1980 that called time on drink at the football. Can't see it returning.
  19. I'm afraid I don't, Alex.
  20. Just because Brewster had an unsuccessful time at Tannadice doesn't make him a bad manager. History has taught us that the Arabs are a very difficult team to manage.
  21. Was the original post by SMEE suggesting that the board wanted Shearer to come in or that CC wanted him?
  22. You took the very words out of my mouth, L_G. :004:
  23. The impressive thing about Sutton over the years has been his ability to regularly score goals against us.
  24. I have to agree with Scotty that perhaps a loan spell would be good for Rory and have been saying that all season. His performances have been disappointing and his body language even looks all wrong now. He now looks discouraged and disheartened too often. It's far too early to write the lad off but a different approach to his football career seems called for. A year at the Pele Football Academy might do the job.
  25. To be honest I don't think Motherwell would pay him much more than we would. They are usually pretty much financially embarrassed. Are they getting some money for wee skippy?
