Yes and no. Robbo is a legend to the Hearts fans. In a way it's a pity he made that move. Many Hearts season ticket holders have told me he was taken to smooth over the installing of Romanov. How'd he do with East Fife?

Compared to last season, big Drapes has been a wee bit off the boil this season so far. I sincerely hope we can hang on to him though. Cracking player.

Apparently when he took over at Alloa they only had one player on their books. Sterling job, IMHO.

Of all the realistic candidates, I highly doubt Larsson needs to be a coach / manager. From a financial perspective, anyway.

The senior starting XI on Friday night seemed to be 27 / 28 ish in age. Personally, I'd have liked to have seen Strachan take the same approach Iceland did, taking their youngsters through as a group - Shinnie included. (Along with Ryan Gauld who is a prospect.)

Maybe, but his post-match trolling is second to none. And the county fans seem to dislike him, which is also a bonus. Tonight, I'm slightly more in favour of Hartley being appointed.

Dougal, I agree with you that Hartley would view it as a stepping stone. I stumbled across a fascinating interview this morning on YouTube with Kenny Shiels. I'm completely and utterly sold on him (and Jimmy Nicholl) getting the job after watching it. I highly recommend giving it a view

Looking at it in terms of environmental impact, Easter Road is the best venue. The time and day is awful though. Saturday at 1500 would have been the way to go.
