Dundee again in the news
This player could have been on the books of any club though.

New League Cup Sponsors
I wish they would use the cash to fill in the potholes. Don't have a problem with them using the cash to sponsor the tournament though.

Scotland v Brazil
Where are you planning pre-match TheKnowledge?

County sack McStay - Calderwood in.
Highly underrated. Hopefully Roy will offer him a long term deal.

FAO Drummers
Does Roy County have a piper at games? I think pipes would be good.

County sack McStay - Calderwood in.
Bad result for our poor cousins yesterday. Keep it up at this rate and we'll be going through for the relegation party.

how many people are interested in abstainers
The World population. Sarkozy even mentioned it in his speech tonight.
-
Esson
Are you referring to his poor technique? ^ Correct. I was also paying homage to his command of the defence he had in front of him. Please excuse my failed attempt at wit. It's Friday night - I'm tired.

Refuseniks
We have? You do? Finally you get to the point and we all learn what the real agenda for this thread has been. Get him telt. I was wondering where this thread had gone tonight. I was searching through General Nonsense - a fail of epic proportions on my account. IF Thistle and Caledonian were still in existence as separate clubs, both would probably still be in the HL and there would probably be even more 'fans' of the ugly sisters in Inverness today. All very speculative of course.

Flag
You've reminded me of a rampant Lion I spotted in the wilderness that is Blair Drummond Safari Park five years ago. It mounted every Lioness in sight in a space of five minutes. Dirty beast. On this basis, the Lion Rampant flag - I'm out.

Dundee United Roll Call
Gdm, what time are you planning getting in to Dundee? Noddy, I'll drop you a text in the morning. Are you going from Glasgow or the big snake tomorrow Nod?

Flag
What about the Iceland flag? It's pretty similar. Unionism and perceived religious connotations don't have a patch on the Icelandic and the way they brutally kill whales. I can hear the chants now... You only sing when you're whaling. There's nothing wrong with the flag I posted. It has not political connotations and, if anything, expresses Highland identity. This was the flag raised apparently at Glenfinnian.

Esson
I'm going to stick to my original shout after reading the evidence. Zibi - hands down, without a shout.

Flag
There's it! (To quote the Inverness song doing the rounds...) Bit pink though in this picture. When I saw a replica it was a strong red. Much better than a Saltire just IMVHO. The Saltire is a flag I associate with the Lothians - not the Highlands.

Can't find a picture but came across this description.

Team for united dilemma
I like that team and formation. Will either of those left backs be fit though, or will it be made do and mend with Duff and Munro as the full backs again? I'd go with that. I really hope we can hit the split. A win tomorrow is vital.

Esson
Zibi the Hibee. Just for comedy value likes. Being serious, I think Esson is the best 'keeper we've had. It's scandalous that he's not in the Scotland set up.

Flag
The remaining banner is a good one. All it needs is an eagle on it. I take your point on board Alex. However I recall seeing a flag many years ago which was, IIRC, red, blue and black squares - one square inside the other. It was this was this one which i was referring to. I can't find an image of it online though.

St Patricks Day Disco - Fundraiser
This is not a criticism, merely a suggestion. Could other events be organised to take place on weekends of home fixtures?

Flag
A lion rampant with a blue background instead of yellow would look good.

Dundee United Roll Call
I'm getting in to Dundee at 1258. Going to hang on for Alternative getting in to the station.

ICT -V- Celtic : Matchnight Thread
Hmmmmmm. Union jacks. Prefer flapjacks myself.

ICT -V- Celtic : Matchnight Thread
Never will I complain again about BBC coverage. That was horrible having to listen to those 'commentators' tonight. One of them even thought the Moray Firth was Loch Ness. Onwards and upwards from here on in in the league. Top six is still a possibility.

ICT -V- Celtic : Matchnight Thread
Gutted. Absolutely gutted.
