The referee had his back turned to the incident. I'm sure an appeal would result in the card being rescinded. Celtic1Caley3 makes a good point about the financial cost. As a matter of principle I think the club should appeal it though.

Well, now that the pre-split games are finally done, we only missed it by 3 points: 41 to Motherwell's 44, with a better goal diference. Motherwell's the only team in the top six with a negative goal difference, and we're the only team in the bottom six with a positive difference. If we vote for AV tomorrow, can we be top six this year? Either way, I still have to pay AM in to the Accies game. I may even treat him to a Churchillian rant afterwards.

I got the impression from his radio interview he has players in mind. This could work out well. Or could go disastrously wrong. Can't help but think this player movement stems from the 'clear the air' talks the squad had a while ago.

There's a lot of old firm fans who would like to see their respective clubs leave the SPL. I wouldn't mind if they left.

To less devoted fans of SPL clubs outwith the OF, what's the point in buying a season ticket then? They'll never see their club lift the trophy. In relation to the population, football attendances have always been higher than Wales, Ireland etc. The OF isn't the be all and end all. Granted, they're at the top at the moment - but when you're at the top the only way is down. Look at the likes of Dundee, Aberdeen, Dundee United among others and what they've achieved in the past. While some posters think we need them, it's a two way situation. Takes more than two teams to make a league.

Nice one WestCoastDon. Anything to work toward removing their influence from the game can only be a good thing IMO. We might even finish in the top six!

Can't blame him though. SPL vs fizzy pop 2nd division - no comparison. I think he'd make a good addition to the squad.

And don't forget that VAT is 2.5% higher than last year. A lot of people are having to work through pay freezes though.
