  1. Oi....my speed is deceptive.............................I'm actually slower than I look Are we all going to be weighed as its the end of the season, ready for the next one? :029:
  2. will see you next week......I've got a game in Manchester on Weds for Zenit to take care of first :023:
  3. Linesman at the Gers><Arabs game on Saturday [img width=500 height=374]http://tinyurl.com/5el3q3 :001:
  4. ok, tactics......pass to the fat bloke in the red and black stripes ......and I'll try not to mess up see you soon lads
  5. aye, me too....months just the choice of kit the one City got relegated in? the one City got gubbed 5-0 by Utd in? the very old Scotland shirt? the oh, so too small ICT one? tough call
  6. aye, just doing my pre-match checklist: kit ./ shinnies ./ painkillers ./ Do we have post-match drugs-testing? Who gives their views on the game to the Courier, so they can be ridiculed?
  7. sounds great....doubt I will do the pitch justice though....not kicked a ball for 6 months....but hey, that less time than Dereck Riordan... another fat old man trying to relive his youth (me) 8pm at Balloch primary school isn't it?
  8. I'll be there too, wherever it is. How's the pitch? Boots necessary or will my trusty old astroturf boots do?
  9. sorry folks, inbox emptied
  10. growing up in Manchester I saw the lot. Best, Law, Colin Bell.......but the most gifted visionary I've seen 'live' on a football pitch (apart from myself obv. :023:) was Ali Benarbia at Man City about 5 years ago. 30 minutes into his debut he had the fans bowing down to him. He had no pace, couldn't tackle or head the ball, but with just a shimmy he threw opponents off balance and he could pick out colleagues in his sleep. When City played Arsenal Thierry Henry warned his teamates to watch out for Benarbia...there can be no higher praise than that.
  11. Man City..... Family moved down to Manc when I was 2. If you're living there you only support one team and they play in blue. Season ticket for decades down there, never won a thing! The other lot don't even play in Manchester - their ground is in Salford, they have hoards of glory-hunting fans from the South and they smell..... Now I've moved back and brought my ability to jinx a team to Caley..... :023:
  12. I was at school last time we(City) beat that lot at Old Trafford, loads of scrapping in the school playground on the Monday......fantastic result (and performance) Thought the kits looked good, as did the numbering 1-11. It'll never come back though
  13. If they are going to seed the Big 4 so they don't play each other, are they going to seed the bottom 6 so they don't either? And how do they know who the Big 4 and bottom 6 are before the season even starts? How can it be a fair league when they have different fixtures ffs? nonsense idea.....money grabbing bastrads!!...........(considers previous approval of Shinawatra taking over City... :023:)
  14. Man City........seeing as I was taken down there aged 2, and its taken me 40 odd years to come back. Exchanged a match ticket in one Premier League for another......and you know what? You are still allowed tackles up here! Just as I left city came good......just as I arrived ICT started winning too....think I'll stay a while :021:
  15. McFadden kissed his black armband after scoring today in tribute with Phil nice touch
  16. what about loans from the EPL? loads of good youngsters not getting games down there cos of all the forriners, don't think wages would be that much of an issue as the EPL teams would want to retain the players in case they came good.
  17. a tragedy like this transcends club loyalties, truly a sad day, comisserations to his family and friends though nothing can replace their loss I was a ManCity season ticket holder when Marc Viven Foe died at the Confederation Cup, the response from fans of other clubs was amazing. Tributes by the thousand arrived from ManU, L'pool and the London clubs. For a brief period we were all thinking the same thoughts. Worrying that it seems to be a recurring tragedy amongst sportspeople A minutes silence hardly seems enough in the circumstances RIP
  18. Which one? The one that looks like Beaker from the Muppets or the chipmunk?
  19. deffo banter, he had the good grace to applaud the north stand at the end of the match (even if I'm sure I did see a rather less pleasant gesture earlier when the ref wasn't looking) best crowd shout of the day 'ref that was 2-footed, they've been on about those tackles all week, don't they have telly in your village?'
  20. aye, they're in the club shop should be a good summer, Thierry Henry is the photo for September :003:
  21. tragic news about Phil O'Donnell ..... puts other things in perspective RIP
  22. ....and a nice bit of banter with Alan Combe in the Killie goal :015: ran out of maccaroni pies again :007:
  23. tickets for Killie seemed to be flying out the door, see what mullering the Old Firm does for sales eh :022: doing what I can by dragging a couple of Xmas visitors along for the game...one of them asked me 'will it be cold?' :015: :015: :015:
  24. cheers p'raps Brew could do with a run out
  25. aye me too (in my mind I still play like Eddie Gray)
