Aberdeen (a)
---------------Fraser--------------- Tokely ------ Munro ------ Djebi-Zadi --------- Proctor --- Black --------- Wilson ----------------------- McBain ------- Cowie --------Imrie -------- -------------Barrowman------------- This is my choice. I think CaleyD has it spot on. 4-4-2 is NOT the line-up to go for with the players we have! This gives us a chance to switch play and roles during the game without making substitutions needlesly. And in turn when we DO use a substitute, it could benefit a lot more than someone just getting a run on the park. I would a bit more explanation to this but i gota run!

Captaincy
I don't think Macguire even knows he's in defence sometimes, let lone organising it! Munro is essentially our only player who is 'Captain' material which IMO is pretty worrying. He doesn't exactly let himself be known during a game and a captain who's single passing skill is to boot it up the park is not exactly inspiring! But like I said, not much better out there to take up the role

Pub, Grub & Accomodation .....
There's a bus from Fairways that runs for all (maybe missing a couple but thats very rare) of the home games. Great place to go and have a couple of drinks in a really friendly atmosphere, with a Travel Inn next door so its 2 in 1!

Team for Burnley
Looks like it! Good signing I'd say, even though I haven't personally seen him play, the reports have been good! Bit worrying that Brewster continues to play McGuire and that we leak goals! Then as soon as Imrie and Duff come on the game turns around. Right now for us not at the game, we know what needs to be done... Brewsters there so get a clue Brew!!

Hamilton and Dougie Imrie

Youngsters - how long is long enough
There's been a few things that have been a bit discouraging since the end of last season but one of the most up lifting things that I've seen since then is the obvious hunger of the 'younger' players (their all pretty much my age :017:)! Pre-season or not, each and everyone of them have said that 1st team football at ICT is where they belong, and have tried amazingly hard to prove their worth. The likes of Sutherland, Vigurs, Wood, Duff, Kerr, Mcallister, and at under 19 there's a lot of buzz around about Shane Sutherland, have IMO given hope for the future and that this season regardless of how things are of the pitch, could be defining! They deserve their chances! We the fans deserve that hunger from the team! Mon the ICT!!!

Niculae
I completely agree with Harry, between everyone on this board, no-one TRUELY knows what's going on! I said before on this thread that the whole Niculae thing is getting beyond a joke, but this thread is now! :017: Ok Niculae IS GOING and yes the club look bad because of the way things are being handled and going right now anyway, but wait till the dust settles to point fingers! Wait till we know (if we do find out) what the club received and THEN talk about what we could do with that money if its released to Brewster instead of this situation which we can then leave in the past.

U19s Versus Clach
Sounds like Shane Sutherland's the one to watch in the under 19's just now. The youth system seems to be bringing up some quality just now!

Niculae
This has gone beyond a joke, and I was going to put that quote above in my comment but did it wrong :rolleyes02: Whatever happens Niculae is going and for all the trouble he's been worth I think it's a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I do like him, I think he was a good player while at ICT and I go against what some people say about him... but it's lost all interest now! I'm not going to b**ch and moan about the way the club has been going just now, but this all seems to be the way things are going to be handled right now unfortuantely.

There are strong rumours that ICT accepted the bid from the german team this morning, I forget the name :029:- Todays Game, St Johnstone
4-2 is a flattering score line today I think. We took the goals well but everything else was pretty poor. McGuire was as poor as ever, looked of the pace the entire game and was at fault for both their goals. Munro REALLY needs another Dodds type player because he seems to be lost. He played well but he isn't the Munro we knew when it was him and Dodds. Barrowman was again not very good. He works a lot but doesn't seem to read what's going on around him to well. A complete box player. Needs someone to support him. I disagree with the post that said Wilson looked of within two minutes! Did you not see the third goal? All Wilson's work. It's worrying though people, because the football is not good, and St Johnstone had chances which any one of the current strikers in the SPL could easily bury.- Todays Game, St Johnstone
So what kind of team do you think Brewster's going to put out today? Hopefully we'll get to see a bit more of Vigurs I say, and maybe a bit more tried back line instead of makeshift.- Brora v. ICT
- Player rater v. County
Yeah regardless of what I said about Rory, booing the guy isn't right. :018:- Player rater v. County
Anyone who think's McAllister had a good game when coming on yesterday is kidding themselves! He is the :crazy07: stock of a player. :sillywave: :sillywave: next season hopefully!- Sean Evans
Have to say that I'm pretty disappointed that he isn't going to be an ICT player. Real hunger shown by him and what did people on this board expect him to do? Outplay everyone he came up against just because he was at Man.u? Rankin didn't exactly 'set the heather on fire' either when he arrived at first. Took him a while to get into things. Evans had two games in which to prove himself in an entirely new squad, that were getting changed about during the games and changing formations and in both games I thought he did pretty well in the circumstances considered. Think its funny that we have signed Lionel who by what I've seen and heard is a HUGE liability, and we get rid of a player who has the potential to be a great player for us.- County game today :D
I have to agree with davieB... Evans was set out to impress tonight, and everyone's been in a position where you try really hard and things just go wrong. He wasn't the only one on the pitch messing up in a Caley shirt, so I think he still will be a worthwhile signing and giving him the chance to settle. Its the back line that worry me. Saw it to many times tonight where there was ACRES of space for C****y players to get a chance of goal in, then they shot wide, the defenders all blamed each other. Hope its sorted out before we're done for!- First game tomorrow
for some reason 'great' seemed to be my word of choice there :029:- First game tomorrow
I have to say that the most impressive over the course of the Clach game was Evans. He showed great awareness and made some great passes which tore open the defense, and really showed great potential which in my opinion we would be stupid not to hold onto. He is young with great talent which we could really benefit from. Barrowman didn't really sparkle as much as I hoped he would, but then again it was his first game in an ICT shirt. I'll give him he benefit of the doubt for this one and only hope he really finds his touch which made him a proven scorer at C***ty. Over all the team out there did well. The 'younger' players eg. Duff, Kerr, and the subs... did a really good job. I think that most fans should know that though Duff and Kerr are young, their more than enough to cover anything that may come in the future and more so, giving others a run for their starting place. I really thought Imrie did really well today and others like Cowie, Wilson, Proctor, Black, you'll be pleased to hear have not lost their touch and look more confident than ever. Only criticism is the lack of hunger in front of goal. 4-0 may seem like a good score line, but the chances begging to make it a walk over went missing.- Zadi Gone or Not (merged)
I've heard today that Lionel Djebi-Zadi's little brother is also here on trial? I maybe wrong, he might not even have a little brother :024: ... but anyone have any idea's?- New Strips
TBH when I first saw the new kit... I was disappointed. It really does lack imagination in any way. But I'll most likely buy one in the end as I'm a slave to consumerism :rolleyes02:- ICT forum footballers ....
Cheers! Won't be able to make it along this week, but should be ok for next week. When and Where? Details? - Niculae
