Why cant he do it in the first team?
As I said in a thread before...

team for killie
yeah i would be happy with that as well, but do you not think vigurs is more effective in the centre of the park? Yeah I thought exactly the same thing... but maybe a slight tweak with Cowie starting out right, then with Wilson coming on for Duncan near the end and Cowie dropping into a centre role? I know that Cowie is a central player but I think that could do a great deal of damage before and after Wilson coming on.

who's our best midfield duo
I would go with Black and Vigurs without a doubt, a lot of effort in every game from Black and defence slicing passes from Vigurs. They both linked really well in the Hibs game and a lot of our attacks came from Vigurs setting up Cowie and Imrie to run onto while Black also had the confidence to come up the park as well when he saw the time was right.

Instilling or destroying confidence?
As said, yes there are managers who do this, but I don't think you would appreciate someone shouting at you for mistakes they have made. The players can see what's happening and some are not happy and I know that for a fact. Managers get respect from players they treat right and use in the right way, but shouting at them giving them sh*t for their (managers) mistakes where there is very little respect in the first place makes it a whole lot worse.

Killie Roll Call
Would like to but 21st on sat... more fun than a Caley game I have to say!

Instilling or destroying confidence?
Hmmmm a one word reply to a commen from someone who literally watched Brewster, his man management skills, and sideline manner. Sometimes your faith in Brewster baffles me! Did you see what Bronson saw? Or when you do see what has been described do you play the fool and ignore it? I feel sorry for Wood. He's young, new to the SPL and he works hard in each game he gets the chance you can see he wants to do his best, but with Brewster (a great striker in his time) shouting at you at the sidelines for messing up, I would be upset to if someone who (in my case) was amazing at drums, watched me play then slagged me off! Not the best way to gain confidence in your team!

Caley reserves 1 Rangers reserves 1
Zander still making an impact in the reserves but with no luck in the first team! How long before that changes? I know MaCallister has done well to and maybe another chance at first team? ........ Discuss

Home Form
As people mentioned the football isn't exactly great and we're not winning but the passion in the stadium at a game has all but gone! I can't remember who the guy is but I know a lot of people on here aren't fond of him at all? But the stewards are a joke and the place has become like Alcatraz for the fans unfortunately, just sitting wishing the time away until your released while guards keep way to close an eye on you! I think Brewster has a lot of the slack to take for the home form to as he has literally turned it into what I just said. You can't have fans cheering you on when they know what should be done (yes we are all arm chair managers and think we could do it better but the majority of us find it completely obvious what should be done and it isn't happening)

Experienced forward required in January
Richie was a very usefull sub to bring on and change a game , to say he was never good enough is complete tosh. Call it as you please, Hart would have one very good preformance (1-1 at Ibrox springs to mind) then follow it up with a couple of stonkers. Never had the consistency, a crucial factor for a top level footballer. Bayne was a big lad and he ran about a lot. Don't get me wrong, I never doubted his passion and commitment, but in terms of technical ability, he was nowhere near SPL standard. I say again, neither were good enough. Hart I will step into defend. He was experienced, he knew the team inside out, an inconsistency that when you look at it is very small and not worth getting rid off, and great to have handy as a sub (though I don't think any player would want to hear that :thumb04: ) Bayne.... hmmmmmm. He would be easy to defend but I wasn't the biggest fan TBH. He did this a lot but usually with no end product.

Brewster is the man for the job
And one more point Ralph, do you argue with the fact that Robertson was and always will be a better manager than Brewster? Because I think the facts speak for themselves. And the fact that the majority without the rose tinted Brewster love spectacles can see what an a**e up he is doing to our club just now!

Brewster is the man for the job
Go on give us an example of when CB has let the board walk all over him ? As I hope Barrowman will get better, Brewster chased him for an age and it wasn't him wanting to wait but the board pressuring him to get his signature... he even put out deadlines (which Barrowman ignored and shame on him) but remained on the chase afterwards as the board wanted him to

Brewster is the man for the job
Roberston Only 3 years older than Brewster Led us to the SPL 2 semi finals consecutively Held our best league position in the SPL Has a load of contacts in the game Loved Caley and what we stood for As said, stood up against the board and wasn't prepared to let them walk all over him (unlike Brewster) Brewster Tactically inept 1 home win so far this season No confidence in his players (chopping and changing far to often, my biggest grievance being Duff so quickly replaced by Proctor, at least someone knows the UNDER 21 SCOTLAND SQUAD player has got talent) No man management skills No respect for the fans No experience as a manager... unless you call a failed attempt at Dundee experience!

Brewster is the man for the job
Where in any post did i say he's a great manager? Thats not what i was on about, what I was meaning was he is most definately passionate about ICT and for anyone to suggest otherwise well quite frankly they don't know JACK. ICTodd, JR/CC/BW sorry but i think you've been reading too much Mills & Boon this weekend I'm sorry but I don't see it. A second chance may have made him think twice about loyalty but as for passion there's very little ad its comes across clearly in his media interviews. He also has no respect for the fans and I've mentioned this a few times now, but after the poor performances of late he has NEVER ONCE apologised to the fans, or said that through tough times we still show up and still love this club!

Brewster is the man for the job
Seriously, you are soooooooooooo wrong Yup I totally agree with Gringo and would LOVE to hear your argument against ralph!?

The long throw
A couple of seasons ago, didn't the BBC go around all the clubs to find out who had the longest throw and Granty came out on top? But yes the long throw doesn't work! It pretty much gives the opposition a chance to clear the ball each time and I'd like to know if we've lost a couple of goals from counter attacks straight from them, where it should be us scoring! Zander and Vigurs I think have the flair needed for a wing man, but I don't think we'll see them uttilised properly for them to be effective in that positions.

Brewster is the man for the job
Completely wrong, fair enough on your opinion, but there's nothing that can be said to defend him against the actual facts that show he is a poor manager!

ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
Aye i have to agree, 3 points from this game after Hib's and the passion showed was honestly expected. I guess we can't expect anything from Brewster except inconsistency

ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
GET IN! now we go for the jugular!
-
ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
Well the Hib's game had saved him from the wolves at the door last week, as people hoped that it was the start of something new, but only Brewster can make it worse AT HOME by playing the same squad but totally messing it up with his 'tactical' awareness
-
ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
Is anything happening or have they decided that crowd attendance is more interesting?

ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
Any changes in the second half? We shouldn't play 4-5-1 at home

Duff V Proctor V McGuire
Duff isn't happy about being dropped at all, he said that he was left out of the reserves which usually means your going to start at the weekend, but was left on the bench. He's done well with the chance he's had and should be the first choice I feel.

Wide players
TBH I think its strange that Brew plays Imrie and Cowie on their opposite sides, but to take example from a source that isn't really a great comparison but when I played amateur, a right footed winger, I was played on the left. It was the idea of cutting in and it did work well but I found it was harder to play a cross. Imrie and Cowie are pro's though so that shouldn't be a problem.
