  1. Afraid I'm stuck here in Edinburgh and relying on the sporadic coverage on the beeb. Got a call from my brother after goals 2 & 3 and no surprises, TCS was rockin' :020:
  2. Hayes clipped it over McGovern for the third. Impressive that he managed to get it up and down with those lugs blocking the goal :020:
  3. Just spoken to David - I'm on board for this one. Apparently another 4 Edinburgh based ICT fans have already confirmed they will be taking up this generous offer...
  4. A battle scarred veteran of many T in The Perks, Glasgow Greens and more trips to the Brixton Academy, Barrowlands, secc, etc than you can shake a stick at, which on the way included taking in leg ends such as Bob Dylan, The Eagles, U2, George Thorogoood to name but a few I would still give it to Neil Young. His performance at the Apollo on Sat night was nothing short of phenomenal :clapping03: Thanks Neil :022:
  5. Hearts is a popular rumour doing the rounds here in Edinburgh but can't see it myself.
  6. Great result today, some moments of magic too (slick passing move for 3rd goal my personal favourite) but honourable mention to the chant from the away support near the end of the match "Give me a G....Give me an R...Give me an E...Give me a T...Give me an N...Give me an A..." They were mince. Spent the bus ride back to Edinburgh with a couple of Gretna fans from Birmingham, good banter :021: All in all, a good day. Am I the only one who thought Blackie was unusually quiet today?
  7. I felt genuinely sorry for zibi today, but bottom line is he is not good enough. Hibs finally realised it and managed to offload him and my hibee workmates still wince at the mere mention of his name. What Brewster was doing playing him today is beyond me and I'm afraid he has to hold his hands up to a poor and ultimately costly decision.
  8. Dennis back on the score sheet today. Great news! And some old bugger scored as well I see. :023: :021:
  9. I thought we did do something at Riockness
  10. Well well, surprise surprise, a dull end of season game, who would have thought that. Not too much to get excited about. We just about deserved a draw but managed to lose a poor defensive goal from a 70 yard free kick from Smeichel that went over the top of the defense and landed in front of Mikey which was fine, unfortunately Finnegan had nipped in between defenders and keeper and the ball spooned over him into the empty net, disappointing. That happened just when it seemed we were gaining the upper hand after squandering three or four half chances. In the first half Mikey made a brilliant save to deny Lima I think after he unleashed a tremendous thirty yard shot, but Mike tipped it over from under the bar. Schmeichel did likewise in the second half from a Hart free kick and Bazza wasted the best of the lot for us when he drove weakly across the keeper from fifteen yards when racing in on goal. Bairns hit the crossbar after a slow motion end of season scramble before they scored but then we looked most likely. However, we contrived to undo the good work and after the goal we sort of petered out. Hart had a good game, Duncan was my MoM and Roy, although often on the right saw plenty of action, unfortunately on the wrong foot. Fraser looked pretty good, goal apart, not sure who the blame lies with yet, TV will reveal all. Dargo.............fairly quiet, some neat flicks but no driving runs into the box. Bayne, usual stuff, a few good knock ons but also some histrionics creeping into his game, leave that for Andy Murray son. Patti not on long enough but had a last ditch strike that sailed a few feet wide. Rankin not at his best. Dods standard punt the ball the way he is facing, Caff, not a right back, which means that Tokelers was being rested for his homecoming next week for the 400 mark. Hastings awol part of the game, and his crossing is still ****e. Thats about it, yep Duncan and Hart top marks from a game we snatched defeat from the jaws of a draw. Oh forgot to add, it's me, tm4tj on crushers laptop, in Embru with a broken c, it's no easy. enjoy ps forgot to add also.................as some codgers like to know how many away fans attended the game..................probably about 117, more than i expected. And, how many temporary stands can you fit round one ground??? Two it would seem. Crowd announced as something like 3100ish.
  11. I tell you what, the league table tonight looks spookily similar to how I would predict it for the end of the season. Except perhaps swap us with Falkirk....answers on a postcard :003:
  12. :015: :015: :015: You pays yer money, you takes yer chance....
  13. As per the subject, shame on you :018:
  14. Or even on my own login! Feckin modern technology :010:
  15. Crusher here on TM4TJ's login Happy days!!! :001: Come on all you haters, give it up for the ICT boys tonight, awesome! MOTM should have been a bunfight between Dodds and Bayne (Bayne maybe edging it....maybe!) Feck sake, after all the negativity lately, shower some well deserved praise on the lads :021: Life is good :001:
  16. Yup, out in Singapore and it's the first time I've been caught out by the BBC's "only available to listeners in the UK" policy! Making do with 2 min updates on the beebs website but it's worse than bloody teletext! Let's finally put Aberdeen to bed then....
  17. Caley 100 - funnily enuff the Ladyboys were asking how you were doing :010: I'm now in Koh Samui where I've spent the last week on the beach. Little in the way of football talent to report from here... :001: but hey, it's a hard life. Tomorrow it's off to Singapore, more updates as I have them.
  18. Agent Crusher here, typing this email from Chaing Mai, Northern Thailand where my unofficial 9 week world talent scouting tour is in full swing. Having left Edinburgh last Thursday the first part of my mission involved a treacherous crossing back into Englandshire. Despite my recent successful cross border raid, I managed to slip into the country un-noticed, stowed away in a shipment of sporrans. Once at Heathrow, the battle with the auld enemy was re-ignited as the table football beckoned. A few deft flicks of the wrist and Engerlunds finest was dispatched. A solid 3-0 victory an onwards I went. First stop - Bangkok. Feckin hot. Seriously feckin hot. Not much opportunity for football but a few ice cold Singha beers were dispatched and a reccy mission to various markets and night Bazaar's unearthed a huge trade in fake football shirts. However, I am pleased to report no ICT goods had been reproduced without licence, although the old infirm are heavily counterfeited :002: . We then stumbled across the infamous ladyboy of Bangkok - or was it Claudio Reyna??? :010: With our 3 nights in Bangkok over we then faced a gruelling 12 hour bone rattling train ride North to Chaing Mai where you find me now. I must go - I have heard talk of an Elephant with a mean left foot who may be an ideal replacement for Bobby Mann (although with a bit more pace). I'll keep you posted.
  19. Yeah, they put on quite a show. We took in the first half hour of Primal Scream (tent was rammed and set was interrupted whilst those who decided to climb 40 feet up the tent supports for a better view :010: were forced down by pints raining on them from all angles :015:) before heading out to see the Who - Won't Get Fooled Again a personal highlight. I cocked up last year and missed the early-bird tickets but I'm sorted for 2007 :001:
  20. Delightful and Right good :015: I can live with, but it's got to be goalscoring!!!!
  21. Good news! Just so we're singing from the same songsheet, what words are you using to spell out D.A.R.G.O? Last season, I went with: D - Dynamic A - Amazing (athletic was a contender) R - Rampaging (rumbustious another close shout) G - Goalscoring O - Ooooooooo...
  22. Hello Internutters one and all! March 2002, approx 14.00;a young Internutter sneaked across the border unnoticed into Englandshire. His mission: to ensure Engerlund's failure at the world cup. After several weeks of observation, the weakest link was identified - one David Seaman. With his penchant for long flowing locks his footballing fortune was fast disappearing in a sordid sea of haircare products. Seeing that he was facing bankruptcy I crafted a plan of simple genius. After biding my time until the quarter final stage I made my approach. All it took was an offer of 10 bottles of head & shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo and a bottle of Vidal Sassoon conditioner - the deal was done. He would throw the crucial tie against Brazil, but maintain his silky smooth mullet. You all know how that story ends. But my work was not done. Intelligence reports leaked from the FA suggested that Engerlund were favourites to win the competition in 4 years time, thanks to an extremely talented batch of players rising through the ranks. It became clear I would not be returning home for another four years... My methods must remain secret, but again the best team in the world fell short of their ultimate goal. Let's just say that the nano robot Frank Lampard was a complete success, and despite the failed attempt to take Wayne Rooney out of the equation pre tournament, the pictures I obtained of Coleen and Ricardo Carvalho had the desired effect. I cannot take any credit for Gerrard's miss though - it was just a **** penalty. I'm now back safely on the right side of the border, residing in Edinburgh so add one more to the Central Belt supporters. Looking forward to seeing some of you at most away games this season (and a few home games too!) Just a pesky round the world trip to get out the way first but hey, mustn't grumble! Back in the UK mid-Sept but I'll be sure to pop in on my travels with a weather update! Bring it on :011:
  23. Get in - the goal that relegates Livi. :)
