  1. No matter what, I'll be up for the game. Already got kids sorted, and booked the hotel. :( Hope it goes to the last game again. Much more exciting. But I would not complain if we had league won 3 or 4 games earlier.

When he is out of contract in January, there is also the possibility, he, might not want to stay. I hope he does stay He has done not to bad in the games I have seen, and it wouldn't be a great idea to have a new central defensive partnership mid season. It could take a new guy time to form a partnership with Munro, at a time when we could be challenging at the top of the league.
  3. What a load of fuss over nothing. Its not as if the people watching the football programme he is on, ie football fans, in Scotland, dont know who TB is and where he is manager! :tonguecheek:
  4. It's amazing how different an angle people get when reading something, from the two quoted paragraphs what I read into the situation was that here is a guy who has been warned about his conduct then takes it upon himself to rush at another fan swearing. Now this might not merit a ?600 fine but I think that given he was rushing at someone the polis obviously felt the need to end the situation. The last bit in bold never does you any favours either, believe me  Edit- forgot to conclude my point, I think that if the arrested man had stayed at his seat and not gotten in another fan's face before struggling with the officers who came to the aid of the other fan, then I think at worst the worst he would have expected would be ejection from the ground. I was speaking to a Dundee fan after the game in the pub and he said his son had been arrested. Don't know if it is the same guy but, he told me that his son was told he was being put out of the ground then started kicking of at police and was then arrested for being abusive to them. The guy reckoned his son got what he deserved.
  5. Wait until you see the recording in full Kyle, it is worth the wait! You will have a problem trying to reconcile the comments of some on here with the actual facts as they unfold on the screen. Using the pause etc buttons you are able to see so much more than you did at the park and not just the goals. From memory on here, I recall Esson being called crap, Eagle being rubbish, Rooney a waste of space, etc.....watch and learn!! One player receives pelters on here and he scored two goals in a manner that would have the EPL adding them both to their goals of the month - I know I exaggerate - but there is an element of truth in this. We have a team of players that can do big things for us if their confidence and belief can be worked on. Let's hope their manager, unlike some folk on here, concentrates on their positive play and not use one mistake to negate all the other good work they put in! Thanks for that,, Just made a bad day worse, I set sky+ to record game. Went to watch it this morning and Step-daughter decides because we were at the game she would cancel recording and recorded some girly crap instead. :D :008:
  6. Correct!! As was Joe Jordan when he won a penalty for Scotland against Wales which took us to the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. He went up with a defender for a high ball in the box, handling it in the process. The ref thought the defender had handled and awarded the pen.... Joe to his credit, just kept quiet about it, and Don Masson slotted the penalty home. Wales 0 - Scotland 1. Happy days! The diffrence between the Jordan handball and Henrys', is, we went on to score another goal through Dalglish. I think the fact that Henry's goal was the decisive goal is what makes it feel like such a big injustice to the Irish. If the french had scored with their chance near the end, I don't think it would be as big a deal. More to the point if Ireland had taken some of their chances...
  7. You mean FIFA as it was the FIFA World Cup Qualifying? Yep im hearing that if Mr Micheal(frances favourite son) Platini DOESNT order a replay in a neutral venue, he will be voted out at the next FIFA presidency election(or maybe before then) If there was to be a replayed game(which there won't), it wouldn't be at a neutral venue . It would still be the 2nd leg of the play-off, and played in France. As for Platini for a publicity mad guy who usually has plenty to say on everything, haven't heard a peep from him so far :)
  8. We sit in F section when we get up for games as mrs dude loves the craic from G section. She has a laugh at me joining in for some reason. Suppose its because I am usually so quiet, but the G crew craic is spot on you have to sing along and join in. The 7 or 8 pints beforehand might help too.
  9. I am seeing it as a good day out and as a nice distraction from the real business of getting as high up the league as possible. And if we win a piece of silverware, great, get drunk and celebrate. If we lose, we get drunk have a day out and get back to the league next week. I don't think it will be a defining moment in the season, league games against the like of Dundee, QoS and C**nty will be the season defining games, but I do agree its a great chance for everyone to come together, players and fans, away from the pressure of league business.
  10. Thats the one! serves me right, vodka and using a computers don't mix! i think you can cancell if you have not paid yet, Scottish law allows you to ,English law does not, double check it Sorry off topic but, Cairngorm, you obviously haven't delt with Travelodge before. You pay on booking and the cheap deals are non refundable or changing dates are a nogo also. I booked Livingston Travelodge (?9 a room) for game v Livingston in January when fixtures came out. We now play Airdrie on that day but they won't let me change or even cancel booking. I will just have to not drink that day instead.

  12. Anyone looking to stop in Perth Sunday? I have made a bit of a mistake when booking my rooms :embarrassed: . It appears I have booked 3 rooms at Travelodge in Perth. So a spare family room at cost, ?19, is going. PM if interested
  13. Actually, there are half a dozen previous Scottish Managers with a higher win percentage than Brown! aye right .name them then and how many games they were in charge for to accumulate these percentages you talk of. Scotland managers records http://www.londonhearts.com/scotland/man/aamanagers.html
  14. Might see you there oh wise one. Stopping there Sunday night and park up before game.
  15. Driving up on Saturday for a little bit of pre match practice in Callander. Mrs Dude and Jnr number 1 in tow.
  16. Haugh Aye replied to gdw11's topic in Caley Thistle
I have always had a soft spot for Clydebank , as they were the first ground I ever went too way back in early 70's playing Queens Park. But I will happily go for ICT to score 3 goals past them on Saturday.
  17. Not as good as Tokleys keepy-uppy effort at the corner flag last week. :022:
  18. ITV head office think that Rangers are not worth spending time and money on. And who am I to argue. ITV in london have not allowed STV to opt out of their transmission, so they have to take what they are given from London. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/...86908-21649463/
  19. Is it a Parker or just a plain old biro I had an inkling someone would pick on that.

Well i am staying with a mate in edinburgh on the saturday and sunday and will be leaving edinburgh around mid day on monday. Going up might be good if there is somewhere to drop me off so i can make a small hop to edinburgh for saturday night by train? If you are going staight to perth on the saturday then it might be easier for me to take the train up? Thanks for the offer, very kind Could drop you in Stirling as I'm going to Callander on Saturday if thats any use.

  23. Your correct there is probably more in the family section than in G. So why don't they start some songs of their own to get the atmosphere going? There are a few songs that don't require swearing, so, why not start the atmosphere from there? The games I have been to, if it wasn't for G, and some others splattered around E and F, there would be no atmosphere. Just like the game V Annan I went too, where only the main stand was open, and absolutly no atmosphere. Just whinging ST holders telling me to move of their seats even though ticket I had was for that seat. So go on Family section, and Main stand for that matter, show everyone how to cheer on the team properly, you start a few songs, after all there are more of you so you should be making more noise than G. And "tut tut tut" does not constitute a song.
  24. See Don Cowie called up after yet more "big name" call offs. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/8290548.stm
  25. What a heap of arrogant cr@p! Why should the decent majoraty be chased away from football by a bunch of foulmouthed loudmouthed kids? The current law exists because that decent majoraty doesnt want and wont accept this kind of nonsence - and football matches are no exeption. How many decent fans do people like this actualy drive away so how much money do you cost the club. If you are a member of the mindless minoraty which wants to behave like this then take a long hike into the Cairngorms where nobody can here you and shout all you like. Come back to the Caledonian stadium when you have growne up. Can you tell everyone something? Which team did you support before ICT? Did that team have supporters who liked to shout? Did that team have fans that liked to sing? Did that team have chants against their rivals? Did that teams fans have some industrial language? Were crowds at games bigger back then? I assume that if you did follow a team pre 1994 you would have had all of the above at what ever team you followed. What now, gives you the right to tell people not to support their team the same way teams have been followed for over 100 years. Obviously proper racist and sectarian songs etc are unacceptable ,You say the decent majority people are being chased away from the TCS due to the attempt at creating an atmosphere, well if thats the case I hope their seats are taken by real football people who will sing shout chant, and the decent majority you talk about go to the library on a Saturday afternoon for a bit of quiet! I see myself as a part of the decent majority in society, I do not swear in front off the kids, I do not smoke, I rarely drink, I have a clean record with the courts, I think I am bringing up my kids well (so far), but, when I go to the fitba that is my chance to let rip and if that makes me a bad man, well, hey-ho, do I look bothered. Oh and I aint no kid, 45 if you don't mind.
