HEARTS GAME OFF
Talking about shitt. Doctors can actually take samples of poo and test them for strains of viral infection. If you stuck the results up the nose of the SPFL then they would have to take notice. Lets give a couple of examples - you are due to go on a work night out when three of your colleagues have the runs and one of their GP,s does tests and states that the strain is contagious. do you cancel the night out. Your child is due to go to a Secondary School preview. You are informed that there is a viral infection spreading in the school. Do you cancel or go ?

HEARTS GAME OFF
Got a piccy of Hearts in training this morning. I am reliably informed that this is all of the remaining squad available.

HEARTS GAME OFF
As I have alluded to on the other thread this decision is probably health based, especially if it is a novovirus strain which looks likely. Perhaps the SPFL should have asked the Jam Tart party to wear masks, not to shittt within 10 miles of Inverness and not to come in close contact with any ICT players.

Late Goals
Good point - I have been amazed that some players have looked out on their feet with 10-15 minutes of the game remaining. Fraid the late goals are all down to trying to defend a lead and giving the momentum and possession to the opposition.

Hearts game may be off
If this is a viral outbreak then there should be no way that the Aberdire game should go ahead. Symptoms take at least 72 hours to pass with treatment which is basically isolation and letting it take its course. No training and evidently fitness and general well being will deteriorate significantly. This could lead to a SPFL nightmare waiting to decide the split IF our game with the Jam Tarts leaves the split in question or will they go for an and/or scenario.

Hearts game may be off
Does anybody know what "contagious" means ? Our next game/s could have been postponed due to a strong potential that the virus carried into the stadium was passed on. From a medical and prevention perspective this was a no-brainer and there are no counter arguments that can be made.

Hearts game may be off
If they have the necessary medical evidence, which of course they should do, then viral gastroenteritis could well be a definite reason to call off the game. Not only does it spread like wildfire in a setting like a football club but it is also highly contagious and carriers are not recognised. GAME OFF

Contract Situation
But from a psychological perspective comparisons of the differing narcisstic personality traits of all three is fascinating. Brewster was an accomplished, flair player who played a part for a while both on and off the park. He also brought along a diet and fitness ethos. In the beginning he appeared to be of a less aloof and less flambouyant character. Butcher was as close to the narcissist as you could get right from the off. He was never going to change. A top drawer player with charm and charisma abounding. He took with him loyal back up and his personna, reputation and ability to attract players and media was very attractive. But he was never going to change or to accommodate. He was mega draconian and he ended up revealing his true colours. Hughes was more of a spirited rather than talented player. Straight talking, honest and likeable. Started off by playing the working class hero. And then accomplishment would appear to have gone to his head, as it had done before, and the narcissistic traits took over. Now I am not saying that narcisstic traits are not useful, especially for a football manager but they need to be watered down or controlled. If you allow a narcissist to take control then you are doomed as they perceive that they are not in the wrong and are in full control. Sometimes it is not about the ability in the training and coaching sphere (Brewster was a great footballing role model) nor the tactical knowledge. It is often about the dressing room and the man management skills. All three were/are "tyrants" in their own way. I suspect that they thrive to be the dream narcissist as were Ferguson and Clough. BUT think about it - what was different about Ferguson and Clough? And what is different about Pochetino, Ranieri and Klopp ? And nearer home Craig Brown and Andy Roxburgh.

Contract Situation
Next time - hopefully soon - lets either go for a rookie and Foran as assistant or Foran with an "old head" -a Brown Owl - sitting alongside to guide in a clearly agreed consultancy position. And let's appoint a Head Scout. Let's Be Prepared.

Contract Situation
Comparisons between Butcher and Hughes !! Wow - that took a long time for some. Do you think that the problem with most managers that we have is that the team initially becomes a success. This goes to the managers head. They begin to have an increased feeling of self worth and importance. They then begin to think that they are bigger than the club. They then begin to think that they are "immortal" and become Draconian and instill "fear" in all around them and chasten and isolate anyone who dares to challenge them. Their narcisstic traits come to the fore. They manipulate the "dependent" board into a contract that would never be bettered elsewhere - and puts them in a much stronger personal position and lessens the funds available for players. And then they publicise themselves as being the potential saviours of "bigger" clubs or clubs that they have held a previous affection for. Now is that all the managers fault ? Why does it keep on happening to us ?

- Sixth Place IMPERATIVE
It looks like the top six and eventual bottom two places may well go to the wire Dungdee - 2 to play - Cellic (h) TUESDAY and Hamilton (a)- 0 goal difference and 40 points - Don't think that they will take points against Cellic. Hamilton could be the decider. If it was at home end off BUT ? Tinkerville - Plastic Whistle (h) - -8 goal difference and 40 points - If this was 2 months ago it would be a no-brainer BUT ? Plastic Whistle - 2 to play - Arabs (h) TUESDAY and Tinkerville (a) - -7 goal difference and 38 points - What a game against the Arabs - six pointer for both clubs BUT if they do not pick up points then ? ICT - 2 to play - Jam Tarts (h) TUESDAY and Arabs (a) - - 5 goal difference and 36 points - Beat the Jam Tarts and we are back in it BUT reliant on other results. Avoiding relegation is the aim. BUT ? Hamilton - 2 to play - Aberdire (a) TODAY and Dungdee (h) - - 17 goal difference and 33 points - Lose today and it is a must win next weekend at home. BUT ? Killie - 1 to play - St Jones Town (h) - -24 goal difference and 29 points - Can see them getting at least a draw. St Jones Town have nothing to play for. BUT ? Arabs - 2 to play - Plastic Whistle (a) TUESDAY and ICT (h) - -22 goal difference and 24 points - Can see them getting a win in Maryhill and then they will be on a high. BUT ? Best end to a season ever ?- Inverness CT -V- Motherwell
