  1. With a deep midfield compacted in the centre and not exactly busting a gut to fill that hole in the middle up front ?
  2. That was simply dire. Meekings is not a full back. Devine has lost his confidence. Tansey may look pretty and fire some lovely long but ineffective balls. He is practically in the back four. If the idea is to block the feed to Sumo that is laughable. There is a huge gap between the defence and the poor two sods up front who are there to chase scraps. That nullifies our midfield who are bypassed. Hook Devine and move Meekings back in the middle with Warren, put Horner or Raven in at right back. Swap Draper and Tansey and play the ball through the channels to Tansey or Vigurs. Put Polworth wider right or take on Mutumbo. Why play two strikers wide and none through the middle ? Play a higher defence because the pace of Sumo is not particularly worrying. A Tansey Red is all that I can prophecy!! Pass marks however to Tremarco. .
  3. 1-0 to Higginbotham. Ridiculous defending by Tansey who should not have been so deep and where was Josh Meekings - in his usual position in the middle. That was coming a mile off.
  4. 8-0 on corners and again loads of space at the back post. That should be capitalised on.
  5. Well at least Williams got one in the net but clear foul and offside. Our only real threat has come from long throws from Meekings. And note that Yogi has been hiding in the dugout throughout and does not look at all interested.
  6. The only bet that I would place at the moment would be for a Tansey red card. His tackling has always been poor and he is playing in a very dangerous position. 30 minutes gone, no shots on target - whoa ONE and Williams pulls a fine save from our Scottish Cup provider- and then Warren header blocked - and two corners - and another shot blocked - and another corner - and Draper hits the post. I have had a footballing orgasm despite it still being 0-0.
  7. So we get a corner that never, never was and what do we do ?
  8. Tansey gets another stupid, needless yellow. And why, why, why is he playing so deep. He is never going to find a killer pass from deep in his own half. Still 2-0 on shots to Killie by the way. Yawn.
  9. Almost 15 minutes gone but Killie the better so far in a very drab game. Why are we sitting so deep. And that could have been a soft penalty against us.
  10. The two lowest scoring teams, the two with the least shots on target and both have had two consecutive team sheets - let's hope this does not equal a 0-0 - although Kille have had 2 attempts already.
  11. I think it has started and Kille should have been down to 10 men in the 2nd minute. Clear on telly but can understand why the ref missed it.
  12. The Club is bigger than anything and anyone. Has anyone tarnished the name of the club by their recent actions ? Just as I was falling into the depths of despair salvation has come. We still have Tremarco's left arm. Oh No - think again ? Was that the arm that dragged somebody back in the cup final ?
  13. Brewster was a great player but a clown manager, Butcher was probably dropping narcissistic poo into his nappies, Yogi appears to have slowly developed the condition.
  14. Thanks for the memories Dave
  15. A picture is worth a thousand words
  16. We need a merger
  17. Well one thing for sure is that Raven wanted to stay. Doubt if he would have pushed for much more money either. As Yngwie pointed out he is 31 - have the injuries paid their toll ? I have an old word and a new word for an old situation to provide my equation - Narcissism + Tokelyesqueness = Conflict > Narcissism = Control > No contest
  18. I am reliably informed that the next Cellic manager will be Paul Lambert.
  19. As Benjamin Disraeli once said to me at an all night Pyro Party in Yonge Street, Toronto " There are three types of lies Johndo - lies, damn lies and statistics".
