  1. What we need is an online fanzine !!
  2. So what do you think ammac ?
  3. He regularly catches defenders on the hop.
  4. Has Richie grown a beard - will anybody ever match Nod ?
  5. Who is all going tomorrow. There are quite a few Juanjo Away call offs ? Where are we meeting up ?
  6. LOL - Wait fer it
  7. This is all the usual stuff fer me - BUT the one thing that is concerning is that Raven and Meekings have BOTH made personal statements NOT their agents. But I really do not see how a simple statement from the club - "We remain in discussion with Josh Meekings and his agent and sincerely hope to come to a conclusion as soon as possible" can not be made - that says volumes. Oh and Caley D - careful of the use of the "we" word and derivatives.
  8. EVERYBODY is still looking at one or two players coming in
  9. Lee Wilkie was 8 foot tall !!
  10. Draper is not mobile enuff
  11. Oh and apologies in advance as there will be IHE on the feckin spot reports from 3 out of the 4 !!
  12. Spot on RIG but let's say that Marley Watkins gets a knock on Saturday and is out for 2-3 games ? What would have happened if we didn't have Ryan to come in for Deano ? Do we not have "cover" for most other places on the park ? Call me old fashioned but the position at other ends of the park are essential. Every team needs a steady and reliable goalkeeper and a goal scorer. I also felt that last season one of the reasons that we fell away is that we were relying too much on Billy and he got washed up. Anyway I will hold back until the end of February becos we really need to stay in the Cup and there really are NINE possible points up fer grabs. This could be another unbeaten month. And that would give us time to find some kind of cover and would leave us sitting relatively pretty - especially in the League and hopefully through to the QF 's, a favourable draw and the third semi on the trot. It's a funny old game.
  13. Forever In Our Hearts
  14. A young bull and an old one are standing at the top of the hill and the youngster, fuelled by adrenaline and blistering testosterone, cries out in a fervent: OOOH. look at all these lovely cows down there Let's rush down and get one." Replies the old fella, still alive and kicking "Aye, laddie, thas a good idea but why not mosey on down the prairie and at modest pace and conserve our energy; then we can get all of them?" BUT then another farmer bought the prize cow whilst they were dawdling down and the other cows wanted mating to wait until they could decide what to do. The old bull turned to the young bull and uddered "In my days we had a contingency plan".
  15. Let's talk football !! Despite the disappointment of the transfer window I feel more confident now than I have done in some time visiting Mary Hill. I feel that the main team to have Sussed us out recently and outplayed is is Partick. Now we are in a position where few of us can second think how we will line up on Saturday. Plus I expect Yogi to have revved everybody up to show that there is life after wee Billy. That may not last but should be evident this weekend. I would now say that we absolutely prioritise the cup. I suspect that Yogi will go with a 4-5-1 with Watkins up front alone. He can probably do that role but his skill will be sorely missed elsewhere. So why not go for a 4-4-2 with no actual centre forward but with two pacy players up front who play wide. That should baffle the centre halves ? I would play Marley and Christie in those roles with a midfield of Ross, Tansey, Draper and Shinnie.
  16. Wouldn't blame Yogi for this one. He can only deal in his allowable budget. Cameron started all this contingency blarney so let's hear from him as to why his plan failed desperately. You can't scapegoat one person - this is a board matter - GAWD it is that bad that I would have say - it would not have happened if Butcher was manager !!
  17. Doh - if Billy Mckay goes. - we have so much money to bring in a replacement - let's look at who is available - let's contact the clubs and the players to test the waters - let's make a short list - let Yogi decide the order of priority as to who would fit in to the system best - let's go back and put the offers on hold - put that on the to do wish with a deadline to complete by the end of Novembef 2014. Ready now for that feckin treacherous window. Let's assure the fans.
  18. That sounds like a sound contingency plan for injuries but what about needless bookings and suspensions.
  19. I suppose it depends what you expect from a contingency plan. Clearly we didn't have a deal lined up and ready to go. Instead we had a shortlist of suitable targets (probably on loan) who we thought would be available, affordable and willing to play for us. Looks like when we've made our moves, we found that none of them met all of the required criteria. Remind me never to ask you to define a feckin contingency plan.
  20. Hang on in there boys Slew is en route
