Inverness CT -V- Celtic
Brill looks as if he has done his knee in again. Sorry but he did not look right from the start and on Sky I thought it was in slow motion but it was in Brill motion. Terrible shame though but that is only Esson standing. God protect.

Just a thought and a very positive one. In previous seasons I would be thinking Cellic 1-0 in 2 minutes - game over.

Terrible, Terrible defending and right down the centre. Warren outpaced but where was the cover from Raven and Meekings. Warren really should have blocked the shot and Brill really should have stopped it. And the next attack ghastly a great cross from Williams, a terrible header from Adenauer, well held up by Marley, a sclaff from Raven who was there anyway, Ryan should have scored, blocked on the line and Ofere, who has looked very physical, slots it home like a proper centre forward. But Delia has sussed us and is playing everything through the middle of our defence. Lessons to be learned and Meekings simply has to take on the last man role.

Good comments on Sky from Delia and CC - Delia states that we are the best footballing club in the country and CC points out that it was not the usual difficult to beat comment. Looks like a 4-2-3-1 formation and a big day fer Ofere.

Aberdeen -V- Inverness CT
Watkins has the capabilities but he is far better as a wide player. I would suggest that there must be doubts about Ofere or he would have been starting games ago. Yogi is struggling to figure out his best team and the system to play them in. It sounds as if he has reverted back to the "reliable" tippy tappy. That is exceedingly worriying at this stage of the season. And yet despite the mid season mismanagement, despite a run of point dropping fixtures, an apparent drop of form, increasing dissent from the terraces and a growing general frustration - here we are on the brink of Europe and potential statistically our best season ever. I feel strange that all of this feels slightly anti- climatic to me. Two "performances" against Cellic would clear the air but that looks highly unlikely at this moment. Still it has been a funny old season ?!!

Team for Aberdeen
Pre Xmas we had a settled team and posters were pretty much in concordance. Is what we are seeing in this thread confirmation that Yogi simply does not know his best X1 ?

Where is The Park Bar please? Are some of us still barred ?

It may be an old cliche but perhaps it is better to be the underdog and not the aggressor ?? That to me has always been our downfall and even more so this season.

What is the difference between qualifying in third and via the back door fourth ?

Well they probably have a point financially and the early entry and the fitness levels often have a negative effect on the rest of the season. It really would all depend on the draw but - let's face it - none of the Scottish entries are going to get very far. If the draw is kind then this could be a money spinner, it is better than the expected dross of Highland practice matches, it may be that a one off sponsorship could be done as it would be a big news story and may even get TV interest and it would be a great away day for the fans. IF it happens count me in wherever - BUT we still have to qualify - and I am as worried now about St Jones Town as I am about Dungdee Untied.

What is the point of a semi final when ya can't get pished beforehand, should be an 8pm kick off

Post split fixtures, who ? where? why?
Think that RIG speaks fer a lot of our fans here. Even the nonsense with the semi final adds to the difficulties. During the season there is ample opportunity to make travel and overnight arrangements at a relatively decent cost. I would have gone to at least one home game and as many away days as possible. Now I will be lucky to get to one. I have a hunch that the Top Six end games will be total anti climaxes although the issues at the other end may be the money spinners but I can't see that scenario ever happening again. I also have to concede that the novelty of many of the away days has dwindled significantly. Stranraer was the best trip fer ages. At least the return of the Jam Tarts and hopefully the Hibees are welcomed.

Billy MacKay Northern Ireland
Wigan brought a lot of players in to get out of the relegation zone and Mackay was a steal at the price he went for. If they were preparing for league 1 as far back as January surely they would be cutting back their squad. I think that you will find that most of the players coming in have either been short contracts or loans.

Billy MacKay Northern Ireland
My Wigan season ticket holder tells me that wee Billy was always taken in fer cover and a club practically preparing for League 1. They will lose a few players if they go down a Billy is more likely to be a scorer in the lower league. That makes it sound like very good business fer Wigun and potentially fer Billy.

Partick Th -V- Inverness CT
Surely the bottom line is (hopefully) that Yogi tried something different against a team who appears to have had us Sussed for ages. As in the cup it may have been the plan to go fer the jugular early doors. But again surely he must have altered the system at some stage during the second period or did we sit for a point or a breakaway goal ?
