Sorry Don but forgot how to put the official report on but here we go : Last game of the year and the erseholes (not Mahonio!,) decide to play a nothing at stake game at 12.15 on a Sunday morning (or perhaps it may be a Subway morning in the near future ?!! The last game of the season, to moi, gives far more positives than many have given credit to. The first half was drab but the passing, to me, was nowhere near the negativity that has been posted on here recently. Both teams were negative and it was as if we were b oth looking for a 1-0. The first half was totally bereft of any real skill and was as dull a 45 as I have ever witnessed. But we stuck to a very defensive system and we changed it after half time. GAWD if we had nicked a goal we may have gone ballistic! Brill saved cos it was hit at him and we never lookred like scoring. But the second half was SO much better and - like at Muvversmell we could have rained goals IMHO. In the second half we relaxed and if we had scored a second early doors we may have hammered them. McKay, Watkins, Raven and Tansey could easily have added to the tally. Christie got a poacher goal and anyone of four could have snatched the second but he did dispatch it with force. So here. We go with the cirque : Brill 6 - not tested but never troubled. Still not convinced. Raven 6: more subdued offensively which was a slight concern Tremarco : better game than usual - still not good enuff going forward but solid defensively. Devine : could really be one fer the future and I would love to see at left back Draper : did he look the sort there or what ? Draper and Warren ? Vincent : Totally wasted on the wide right. Shinnie : MOM fer me and maybe we stick with him in there. Tansey : tackles like Paul Scholes Doran : jhesus if he was fit ???!! Christie : green but such a potential talent McKay : Poor Bily was fecked but will prosper with the potugese hit man Watkins and Wiliia s both upped the pace.

I see that Mr Butcher has been quoting Tennyson and is considering the use of Shakespeare and Rabbie Burns - I have some apt suggestions: Tennyson - Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all Shakespeare : life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury and signifying nothing Burns: Ye see yon birdie, cad a lord, wha struts and stares an a that, tho hundreds worship at his word, he's but a co of for a that. And in true narcissistic style he himself quotes : " I have always said I'm very, very confident we will be fine and I still hold true to that FACT " !! HE who laughs last, laughs longest.

One day, not so long ago, as I was sitting quaffing Crème de Menthe in a Vatican City bistro musing over the future of Terry Butcher - Eric Hoffer turned to me and said " Johndo loon, retribution often means that we eventually do to ourselves what we have done unto others”. And my other drinking buddy Meg Greenfield added " Aye Johndo mun, there is such a thing as tempting the gods. Talking too much, too soon and with too much self-satisfaction has always seemed to me a sure way to court disaster. The forces of retribution are always listening. They never sleep."

Apologies on behalf of my mate George as he will be unable to attend the Hellgin game on July 12th as he will be walking with his band. He was always scared to go to Borough Briggs anyway.

If you don't play a higher defence ya will always be at risk. I am going to watch the highlights again tomorrow but we had so many chances where the final pass or cross was lacking and where we simply did not have the rub of the green. Where did I say neat and incisive - it was blood and guts.

Sorry but - look at my post - tell me your rationale fer your evident disappointment at tonights' performance - and have you watched it on Alba ? The problem is that without reasoning you are fecked - and again I am sorry - you are acting like a total ersehole. STOP saying you are not going to post again and then post again - either stay off and gather yer thoughts or fight back with some rational critique.
