The deadline was for feedback and not a firm decision - Piermayr has signalled his intent - presumably the others have made a statement and wish to consider further - which of course is not wholly encouraging.

feck me - we are agreeing !! Jones doesnt deserve an improved contract - he has to earn one. Suspect that he may also have found the going tough and may also have expected a regular place. Holding midfield was always Proctor's forte, even as a "back up" player - you appear to have a good memory so you may have recalled me saying that on a few occasions.

Praise when praise is due folks - at least the communication channels between the club and the support are well and truly open - and with a lot of apparent honesty and "upfrontness". I suspect that the praise probably goes to Kenny Cameron and I also suspect that the catalyst has been the CTO posters. The McKay deal should open doors fer others and isnt a 12 month one.

Even I cannot believe the "venom" of criticism against Mr Butcher voiced by sparchef and applauded by others. Terry Butcher has his faults but that condemnation post is way, way over the top.

You really need treatment - what you are doing is expressing the negative views of frustrated individual posters, rather than the realistic average. The stress must be getting to you as this is a feckin football forum where the sharing of often diverse views and perceptions is the name of the game. Question marks are NOT permitted on this thread young man - We are now dealing in "reality" rather than "ifs and buts". Pontificating and postulating is out and only contract signers can be included. The departure of Gregory Tade and Greg Tansey and the fact that Jonny Hayes' agent today says he will sign for Aberdeen have created spaces in the squad that manager Terry Butcher is already making progress on filling. "Terry and Maurice Malpas have been working hard on prospective targets as we wait to see if our remaining out of contract players accept their new offers", said Cameron. "I cannot say too much at this stage as potential incoming players are still under contract elsewhere, but several of them have responded in a very positive manner to our initial approaches and we are quietly confident of new arrivals. Well like many others I simply will not believe this until an official statement has been issued and I am looking forward to watching CaleyDD laughing his tits off.

Note that Grimdaleks are bottom of the league after five games. I wonder what the deal actually is becos the way that ICT are going at the moment it will be an advantage to have a match fit Gavin Morrison back for our pre season.

OK - not exactly a like for like but - jhesus - could you imagine that two playing together ? That thought has cheered me up !!

In my opinion it is THIS close season that is the worst ever by far - even eclipsing last pre season when at least we had the nucleus of a squad. We were caught out by being too late on the scene - becos of the early start - but it feels like our management are the ones who are sipping Pina Coladas on the beach whilst others are grabbing our "stars" and there will only be poor pickings left.

Who did we replace him with ?
