  1. May I suggest issuing a statute not to discuss statues.
  2. As Harry hill would say - there is only one way to sort it out - FIGHT - but stop - unfair - Innes and Eric against the rest !! I am reliably informed that this was not purely about dressing room and training ground relationships but also about being in and out of the team and playing out of position. There was that feeling of loss of "togetherness" seeping through fer the first time since the Brewster era - but it was met face on this time in what sounds like an open and potentially amicable manner - It could well be that some players - even the more experienced ones - blocked this out or did not feel comfortable getting it off their chests in a group situation - it is also wholly feasible that Terry and Mo may have noticed the loss of that "togetherness" feeling and may not have been privvy to all the "facts" - The way it was done was exemplary and should augur well fer the future.
  3. Interesting report in the Sunday Mail this morning RICHIE FORAN revealed dressing-room crisis talks inspired Inverness to this crushing victory that fires them back to the top six. The Highlanders romped to victory over a lacklustre Well side who looked a shadow of the unit that humbled Celtic 2-0 last week. Caley Thistle boss Terry Butcher couldn't have been more proud of his troops after he had slaughtered their "wretched" display in the midweek home defeat by Dundee United. And Foran, who got on the scoresheet along with Shane Sutherland and super sub Alex MacDonald, revealed a team meeting was the inspiration behind this win that sees them leapfrog United into the top half. Foran said: "We did a lot of talking. Eight or nine guys spoke out and weren't afraid to upset other people. "We got our frustrations off our chests and felt refreshed afterwards. "The gaffer wanted to know where we thought we were going wrong. Terry Butcher is willing to listen to our views because he has respect for us. "Training picked up from Thursday onwards and this was one of our best performances of the season. "I haven't enjoyed a game like that for a while - and it is because we had 11 players on song. "We had the hunger and the desire. It was Terry's side that turned up with guys throwing themselves in front of shots, willing to work for the cause." So how do we maintain this momentum ? Tiger Woods has one. So does Andre Agassi. Almost every college pro team, major league pro sports team and Olympic team has one. Virtually every pro golfer and pro tennis player has one. What do they have? - A Mental Game Coach. These top sports stars are smart. They're good already. Even great. Some are all-stars and superstars. Why do "they" have a mind coach? They want to maintain their excellence. And, they want to get better. They want every edge they can get, because they know their opponents have this mental advantage. Mental Game Coach The broadest and deepest level of training, background and experience of coaches in this class. Assists people in learning, training, coaching, preparing, performing and any other discipline related to peak performance. This person probably has degrees or certifications but is not licensed. Has a strong mental game background Mental Game Coaches are particularly skilled at helping you with these critical performance issues: Anxiety ; Choking ; Focus ; Sales Rejection Issues ; Telephone Call Reluctance ; Goal-Setting and Achievement ; Perfectionism ; Procrastination ; Mental Preparation ; Mental Practice ; Self-Discipline ; Getting In The Zone ; Slumps and Confidence ; Hecklers And Psych-Outs ; Performing Under Pressure ; The Fear Of Success ; The Fear Of Failure ; The Imposter Syndrome And I know just the man to fit the bill
  4. Did my eyes deceive me or did he surreptitiously cross himself as he walked out at Legoland just now. Interesting piccy of Diouf and his agent in the Sun earlier this week.
  5. What a surprising turn of events - belies my well formulated Dougal personality profile - first a compliment and now sound advice. I have asked fer this one - it should serve to raise some banter with the opposition hordes: And they have it in XXXXL
  6. Hope to catch up with Florence and yerself at the game - I am the one in the short sleeved ICT top with a big bandage on his left upper arm. I agree entirely with you Johnboy i'd be quite happy with that formation and line up There's no way i'd throw Gillet into this one seeing there is so much at stake and I agree i don't think Terry would either I got my ticket early(Section F in the North) as i was in a priority group(I attended the Morton and Elgin games in the previous rounds ) Roll on Sunday dougal
  7. Thank you fer the professional compliment - coming from a character like yourself makes it all the more pleasing to receive -I always do my best to subtly encourage Mr Butcher. My apologies fer completing taking over yer thread but I now appreciate that Caley D was cleverly changing the context of the thread and allowing a more skilled angle to be employed. From a psychological perspective I can also assure you that your poster name / piccy / personality are a perfect match for yon dug on the roundabout.
  8. Here are prime examples of referees at their best How to referee
  9. Actually it was what I said last season fer the first time - and has he responded to me and the other doubters - SIMPLY THE BEST - and will get my vote to be the best ever player of the whole ICT era - 2012 may be the year too far IMHO
  10. So what was the line up and formation ?
  11. The "real" IHE is back in town.

  13. ESSON DUFF HOGG GRANTY GILLET / SHINNIE HAYES ROSS DUNCAN DORAN ROONEY FORAN Fields of Athenry The Longman Dump - the Lyrics By a lonely weegie wall I heard a young Tim crying "Caley they are taking Barnes away For they stuffed us three to one. Wilson, Mann, Sheerin - well done." Now a Sun headline lies waiting in the tray. Chorus So come here the noise of Sneckie Boys As once more we take the Mighty Cellic on. Hart (Hayes) flew down the wing A Wyness (Rooney) goal was a shure thing As the Caley went (go) ballistic once again. After a Quarter Final draw I again heard that young Tim calling "Henrik will score at least three" But we rose again we took them down Despite their Famine and their Crown Now they must treat the Sneck with dignity. Chorus By a lonely Marina wall I watched the last star falling As HMS Sneck sailed out against the sky But she'll wait and in hope I pray She will return on a Sunday And it will be allowed by the the Wee Free Presbetry Chorus
  14. ICT, Everton, Leeds and Fleetwood (13 feckin 4 on aggregate !!)- cant remember the last time that all four won on the same day - rest peacefully my old mate - IHE is going on the lash.
  15. Bannerman scores against Falkirk - now when in the past did we want that to happen !!
  16. Feckin brown nose - concentrate on the feckin game instead of making juvenile posts
  17. Its a wee Mc as well - Feck me all we need is Luvgravy !!
  18. Fancy that - ronnyc in a feckin state, SP in a wild vest and Scotty teaming up with Tonto !!
  19. Feck me - was it an effort in the box from a Rooney assist - was it a centre forward effort - was it a goal sniffer finish - or was it a lucky cross sum shot from an unlikely wide position ? Feck it - wheres the smirnoff
  20. HELLO - IS THERE ANYBODY FECKIN OT THERE This possible augurs well fer next weekend - are we protecting the absentees? Says a lot fer our Top 6 aspirations - but I would take a Cellic win and a trip to Hampden rite now.
  21. Feck me - we are struggling more with injuries than I thought - more changes but unfortunately forced - selection says a lot fer Innes and Eric - but please dont play Shane wide - partner him with Rooney with Ross and Foran wide - please, please tell me that the bakc four also is Rosscoe - Hogg - Granty - Duff.
  22. ?'But I don?t want to go among mad people,' Caley D remarked. 'Oh, you can?t help that,' said IHE. 'We?re all mad here. I?m mad. You?re mad.' 'How do you know I?m mad?' said Caley D. 'You must be,? said IHE. 'or you wouldn?t have come here.'?
  23. It may be a season too far for Russell and Rosscoe - I suspect that it will depend on whether they want to be part of a SPL squad or whether they both feel that they can do a job in the SFL - I unfortunately suspect the latter. Keeping hold of Rooney will be a major plus but highly doubtful. Sanchez - unless he gets a late run of starts - will undoubtedly want to depart. Bloominshyte will probably want to go but we shouldnt let him go fer a snip. Tuffey will want to go on at least a loan deal - unless he is staying cos Ryan has plans to stand down. Lets just hope that Terry and Mo stay on but get psychological support - preferably from an expreienced practitioner who is at the point of early retirement from the NHS.
