the PaulieB's
I was going to stay off the booze till the weekend but will now have to wet the wee mans heid. Never thought that I would see the day that a Brummie picked up an Oscar.

Double signing
Would have agreed but there is Tokely and Hogg - I felt that what we have been missing for a long time is a central defender with pace who looks to play the ball on the deck and can be more innovative from dead ball situations.

Not feckin guilty (fer once!!) - stop the feckin interference as I am trying to arrange a feckin binge. Anyway I cant feckin txt when sober far less when animated at a match !!

The Pre-Season Thread
If the game at Aldershot was an evening kick off I woould go fer both but neither before an early kick off - Its not that I am becoming an old softie it is just becos I am feckin lazy. But we have a choice fer the Friday - I fancy booking in at the hotel (doubt if we will get there till mid afternoon anyway) and head in marching on to Aldershot - and a taxi back home. Hit us with the pubs Scott and we will route Aldershot March 1 - anyone care to sponsor us ?? Plus a long shot BUT is anyone from my neck of the woods fancy going up and down to Yeovil - sharing the drive if needed - well the drive down anyway

Livi roll call
Real ups and downs at Livi - the quarter final defeat was a total sickener but the 4-1 win when Juanjo gave us the somersault and Spanish dance celebration will always live me - and what about Morgans' equaliser. Me - afraid that the Mental Health of Lancashire is in my hands and saving fer the Englandshire Away days.

Who fancies doing a mini Highland March to the game ? I like the thought of the Brewery trip as well. I may never come back from Aldershot :rotflmao:

Matches v Highland League teams
Pre merger Caley were way ahead of the Highland League of today. Plus as I alluded to on another thread we have players who are trying to impress and that makes a big difference. Can anyone else remember when we had such competition for place pre season - there are a lot of positions and contracts up fer grabs.

Trialists
We have to look at putting together a squad which is not decimated when we lose 2 or 3 of the first choice players - it seems to me that Terry and Mo - quite rightly in my view are taking on a bunch of promising youngsters who have undoubtedly been told that they are at ICT to prove that they can do their stuff on the field of play as well as having the potential on the trsining ground. In that sense peeple either improve - at differing rates - or fail. In our position that is always worth taking a chance on.

Cheers Scott - hope to catch up with you on the day - I suspect that I will not be difficult to spot !!

Inverness CT sign English Striker
Spoke to some of my colleagues in the Burnley based crisis team and apparently the Accrington fans are fuming about this. I am told that this guy is really one for the future - great pace - they reckon he can play wide if needed, is not an out and out goalscorer but is pacy and the perfect foil fer a traditional centre forward - such as Tade or Shane.

Rooney offski - confirmed
Sooperb news - may trek through to Burnley with the ICT flag in to the Brummie end - show the Zulus how to sing the Rooney ballad and show ma erse to the Suicide squad That is a far better move than I would have imagined.

Fanspeak at Dunfermline Game 22-10-2011

He got the "boot" from Arsenal after a drink driving offence and that stopped him getting a US visa - hopefully he is a bit older and wiser now - purrfect for the rite back slot or possibly even the pacy "libero" that we have been sadly lacking for years.- Terry Tweet
I have just read an article in the Englandshire Sun that the Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton went on to twitter and asked fans for suggestions and supporting reasons for available players. Apparently he was tweeted by fans from across the country - not just Yeovil fans - and he has arranged the "twansfer" of Kieran Agard who has just been released by Everton. He apparently has had tweets from fans of Premier league fans also advising him of potential loan signings. If you could tweet Terry who would you recommend. At the end of last season I went to see Rochdale reserves with the season ticket holding doctor who I worked with and was mightily impressed by their young striker Kallum Higginbotham.I am also informed that Everton are looking to loan out Conor McAleny.- Caley away kit
Too much red and black and not enuff blue.- Happy Birthday Calum !
There are too many boring old gits on this thread - including feckin Calum.- Positions/Players Needed for Next Season
Basically I feel it is fairly obvious - Terry and Mo have got the squad that they want - they are now waiting to see how much spondoolicks that they can get for Rooney - IMHO we need a pacy central defender and an experienced goal scoring forward - Tansey may well fill the creative midfielder place - perhaps they think that Tade fills the striker part - personally Duff is as good a rite back as ya can get.- Trialists
But who were Guadalupe playing and who was in goals ?- Terry Butcher backs team GB
Some "phrases" that tend to put some peeple off the idea of cross national allegiances - Fabio Capello and Berti Vogts. To me Olympic football is in the same bracket as Olympic Rugby or Cricket or Golf - a feckin media focussed, money seeking circus act and one that would never attract career focussed footballers. But Butcher as the boss would fit the media bill, then stick in Beckham as captain and Giggs as vice captain - stir in a mixture of young wannabees and cover with a Big top.- Official Travel Club
What the feck do you want, door to door?.............for you they may stretch it to Forton Thats a deal !! Plus everybody should have the perfect fruit preparation for an official bus trip to a footie match. Buy 4-6 large oranges plus a 10 ml syringe and large syringe needle (green) - plunge needle into orange and drain off most - but not all - the juice. Insert the favoured alcoholic product into the syringe and inject back in to the orange. Add a small transparent waterproof plaster to the injection site - place in a Tesco bag - and enjoy.- The Pre-Season Thread
Who put the Y and the O in Yeovil  Try the Lion Brewery B&B fer Alderhot If you are staying at the Lion Brewery, you'll certainly get comfortable cheapish digs and a good welcome and a decent pint and possibly some live music. It is not actually in Aldershot but on the far side of Ash - a good 2 or 3 miles outside of Aldershot town centre (a bit long to walk although there is a possible amusing pub crawl). Not much else very close by the Lion except a take away place, a scabby offie and a cheapo oriental or indian resto. From the Lion, it is an easy walk up onto the Army ranges from there as well (open to public when they are not shooting!!). The train to Aldershot town is not an option (wrong route) but there should be an infreqent local bus into town or it would maybe cost you 6 or 7 quid in a private hire taxi. For those thinking of staying at Tiffanys... Ha ha ha!!! You could do worse than stay above Aldershots premier strip club and you would be right in the town centre with plenty of pub options ;-) Cheers Scott Cheers Scott - the Lion Brewery looked like a cheap option at a Real Ale pub BUT a possible amusing pub crawl - tell me more !! What will be the craic on the Saturday - best craic and watering hole before the game ?- Trialists
Its Johnny Djebi-Zadi- Stuart Duff
I am concerned that this could be reliable Duff information - Duff looks as good right back as we have had since Rosscoe was in his hay day - I never really rated Proctor as a defender in general BUT Duff could hold his own at full back and could fill gaps in midfield whilst Proctor would be more of a squad player. My opinion is that they could both do a job for us and I would hope to keep them both - unless new signings arrive in their positions or trialists prove they can provide better cover.- Innes Bar Supporters
Oh my gawd - that also means that it is the demise of the ScoobieMobile- Dumbfarmlife Away 06/08
