Feckin good strike from Marius fer the first - he is a feckin asset in the box fer the second - only a seasoned professional could do that - but was the third a deflection ? Fair play - deserved the MOM fer that display - he appeared to be playing further forward at all the goals - was that the case all the time ? Why are we scapegoating peeple when they have an off-day. If they are doing it consistently then it is fair enuff to moan. When you are winning 3-0 at half time it is easy to take the foot off the pedal or to showboat / overelaborate. Duncan has been consistently "effective" this season - may not be the most polished but is deffo the most reliable. His best "position" is the holding role in front of the defence when we play 4-5-1 away from home.

Yip - It is about time that we had a real cup run again - the semi finals were feckin GREAT. I think that we can squeeze past Hibees even if we play Marius and hopefully it is home draws all the way to Hampden.

Rosscoe misses Dods - Dods was totally defensive minded and used to almost totally gaurd Rosscoes moves forward - Tell me if I am wrong - which I rarely am but have I not noted McGuire taking on that roll/position in recent games. Having said that Rosscoe knows that time is not on his side - I am reliably informed that this may be his last season at the top and he wants to go out in style.

Spot on Tree - Brew is coaching proc into the centre back spot - I reckon Proc will be glad to be a squad player until that happens - at the moment he can cover fer at least three positions.

I have been informed that we have been in discussions with Swansea City - Now let Rankin leave fer dosh and bring in Duffy - I would be more than happy with that. Duffy is much more of a wide left midfield player - which we have been missing fer a long time.

Gretna's loaning out and letting go, pre-window, has been close to either dramatic or downright stoopid. Either they have just resolved themselves to the drop and are tightening up the budget fer next season or they have a few big rabbits to pull out of the hat in January. As far as today goes that is good news fer us. We just simply have to come roaring out of the traps today - another early goal and we could be in fer a shedful. But I fer one would not be surprised if Gretna regroup and are a formidable force in the SFL gain next season. That may also give them a chance to barter again about the size of Raydale.

Judging from his performances this year Barry has only got a good 60 minutes in the tank these days. The resurrection of Rankin and the re-installation of a 4-2-3-1 system has clearly gone against him too. It is quite clear that Rankin, Black, Duncan and Cowie are the No 1 midfield formation. Bazza could still be a very effective substitute as he is one player who just seems to be able to get into a game vey quickly when coming on.

I feel that he would be a big miss - particularly in regard to his form of late. But he likes being in central midfield and has never played as well when stuck out wide. He cannot compare with Blackie and could only play in his best position in a 5 man midfield. Hopefully if he does go he tells the press what exactly is going on behind the scenes.

We are having one **** of a season for writing off our players. :024: I just cant help but feel that the expectation levels have soared but I would again state that there have definitely been signs of unease and less of the team spirit. Rosscoe certainly comes into that category he has been more gungho than usual - but he always appears to make it back or recover albeit in a clumsy fashion. Most of our players have gone through bad patches this season.

I was thinking that maself. Brown was / is terrible at penalties.
