  1. Read the Home and Away thread.
  2. I pondered about bringing this thread back but it has turned out to have the most sensible posts in a long, long time. I practically agree with everything that has been said - even Renegade is making total sense !! You have however to marry the fans role and the players role - If we thought that we would be attack minded and comiited we would be getting behind the team - even if we went down 1-0 or 2-0. The fans have to have a sense of confidence in the system. I would go one further than the SPL tactic thing - I said after the Airdrie game that it was akin to the National Team tactics and set plays. Lets be a mediocre SFL side who relaxes, tries to play football and goes fer bust from the off. The defensive mindedness to me is exemplified by Rosscoe - bring back the foraging full back of yesteryear. I never thought I would say thi but even Zadi provided us with more entertainment in one game than we have had all season. We have players who can defend - we actually have some players with a fair degree of technical ability - we have players who like to attack - Lets go back to being natural fer fecks sake. Bringing Back Pele will never happen but bringing back some of his philosophies would be a remedy.
  3. Esson....Imrie....Foran - feck me I'm stuck to see another footballer
  4. The slightly different view is that we are far too nervous, negative and defence minded at home - we should just go fer broke - always play 4-4-2 - at least - and attack - Can it get any worse. HOME - pl 5 w 0 l 3 d 2 f 5 a 10 pts 2 : AWAY pl 5 w 3 l 0 d 2 f 8 a 3 pts 11
  5. Now perhaps if there had also been a change of manager that particular summer ? :thumb02:
  6. But we are a mediocre team in a mediocre league - we are still capable of being there or thereabouts - we simply have to start attacking at home and taking chances. It is the muppets who have guided us to where we are and I agree - many will get lethargic and the mismanagement will be a thing of the past. To enjoy football there has to be some entertainment and some passsion.
  7. Eeh ba gum - As long as thas no a brussen tup, double fisted an' threpple thrioted.
  8. Can this get worse !!! Return to Sender comes to mind !!! IHE do you really think it is the quality of the player that is the issue here, Marius went onto play in the Euros, came on a free transfer and was sold for close on 500k Euros. So whether he was bought on he strength of a DVD is not why the club is where it is now with the whole thing What I am alluding to is that Marius was TOTALLY unfit when he arrived - even then the muppets persisted in playing him from the off - he could have cost us dearly but we had the likes of Black, Cowie, Rankin and even Bazza to make up for his weaknesses. Given his past history of injury it was a HUGE gamble and every angle should have been considered. The details of his contract in that respect surprise me - we were actually giving him a chance - his agents did a great feckin job in retrospect - but that is where the mismanagement started. I can actually see the muppets drooling at a DVD !!! He did eventually look the part - obviously not suited to frenzy of the SPL - but he really came too when the chance of the Euros became a possibility. And when the Euros arrived Marius was never going to stay - if he did it was going to be a BIG mistake - but again his agents did a feckin great job. Good luck to Marius - I believe what he says - and he is entitled to whatever is stipulated - What I am pointing out is that this affair has been mismanaged by ICT throughout and the evidently seasoned agents of Marius have outfoxed and amateurish opponent. And - CC didnt want him - and look what happened to him. B)
  9. Jimmy Zadi came out like that every week !!
  10. Can this get worse !!! Return to Sender comes to mind !!!
  11. It's the muppet show .. It's time to play for Caley It's time to light the lights It's time to meet the muppets from the Caley Board tonight It's time to be embarrassed It's time to get humiliated rite It's time to be mismanaged on the muppet show tonight Why do good players come here I guess we'll never know It's like a kind of torture To have to be managed by erseholes But now let's get things sorted Why don't the fans get things sorted It's time to get things sorted On the most embarrassing, humiliating, amateurish, self preservational This is what we call the Caley Board!
  12. And just to think - the muppets bought Marius from a guy who knew feck all about football and sold him through a DVD. For one - I aint going to use any smileys - this is a total disgrace.
  13. What's it about? Annoying erseholes and you were my greatest influence.
  14. Which reminds me... there is one (fictional) episode in the book where it wasn't difficult at all to find a name for the character although at the end of the episode there is a rather greater degree of repentance than might have been expected from a character of that name. :024: Some people will go to any length to sell a book.
  15. Somebody get a feckin DVD quick.
  16. But the legal costs could be significant and will not show up in any accounts - Marius had top drawer representation and just think what FIFA charged - Perhaps Kingsmills may challenge me but the legal fees could end up higher than the pay offs - So why did we fight this to the bitter end. Lets look at the Marius journey _ DVD - Buy - 6 months getting fit - Decent player - Euro Finals - Sold fer a pittance = Sale a total feck up - Huge financial losses !!!!
  17. Feck me - I agree. I thought that Butcher got the team amd the system rite at Raith - In our position we need to keep all our better players fit - and they are on the way back. We just have to get a couple of wins at home and the confidence may soar.
  18. :024: :D And a two feckin year old DVD at that - and the medical was also passed after watching the DVD. quote name='CaleyD' date='Oct 15 2009, 11:38 AM' post='219797' As was mentioned in another thread a couple of weeks back, I asked the question at the club AGM and the Chairman told the meeting that no funds had been set aside and that the club would just do as they have done with other things and deal with it if/when it happens. And it is being kept under Neil Warnocks bed :025: :025: :025: But dont forget the legal costs for both sides That is evident - learn yer lesson - never buy dodgy DVD's in Bucharest Market. I can see the headlines: Straight from the Orion Consternation
  19. I am thinking about riting a book.
  20. Could an ersehole disappear up an ersehole ? - Discuss.
  21. Spot on Hairy - and I would have gone with the players and the system that Tel Boy played at Raith. If we stay fit I would stick to the 4-5-1 away but at home I would consider playing Imrie and Hayes wide, Obdhiambo up front with Cox and Duncan in the middle.
  22. Who's that then?
  23. I have rarely watched ICT get beat away from home. And that is where all the best days occur.
  24. Calling Feb 8th - this is all spooky stuff. There is only one **** on this forum that should disappear - Discuss.
