  1. The whole midfield setup today was baffling. 3 players playing out with there best position. Hart wide left. Mcbain inside him and Rankin to the right of him. It was a lucky 3 points for us today as we played really badly again. The only thing worse was some of the comments from the home support. From my seat all I heard throughout the match was abuse raised at Hastings for no apparent reason and unsavoury abuse of 1 of the Dunfermline players. I have to say that that the save made by the Dunfermline keeper to keep Bayne's effort out was truly exceptional :clapping04:

    John Rankin

He made the chance himself out of nothing so to give him a hard time is more than a bit harsh
  3. It must be only me that thinks that strong local teams would be a benefit for our team. Ok it's nice to gloat that our former rivals are now down in the doldrums but surely a stronger presence in the leagues would be of beneit to all concerned. Of late we have failed to attract players beacuse or our location. Maybe if NE teams were doing better in the leagues this wouldn't be so much of an issue. We've taken enough players from County, maybe if Elgin wre doing better we could pinch a few prospects from them?
  4. Caley100 I have to say you are talking p**h Hastings gets far too much undeserved flack because he 'dared' to leave us for better things a few years back. He has been one of our most consistent if unrecognised performers over the last 18 months. More often than not he bombs up the left wing time after time only to be ignored for a pass inside or backwards, yet the next oppurtunity he'll make the run again. Of course if Golly had maintained his form Hastings would have remained on the sidelines but since he got his new 3 year deal he has been gash
  5. I agree it will be a tough game but we should be winning these sorts of matches

    Blackie

Classic example of Second Season Syndrome No longer an unknown quantity to other teams and his reputation is proceeding him with the officals
  7. Seems to be a number of Monday night games on BBC Fixture list now :010:
  8. I wonder how much money the club will actually get from Setanta for this game?? Aberdeen games are normally close to sell out's but shifting it to a Monday night will surely hit the attendance hard. It's just a guestimate but I'd reckon from a potential crowd of 7000 we'll struggle to get 4,000 for the game now. :017:
  9. The only way it could have been any worse would have been to get Freeland :006:
  10. I like the idea of 3-5-2 although I'd go for........ BROWN MCCAFFREY DODS MUNRO TOKELY HASTINGS WILSON DUNCAN RANKIN BAYNE DARGO Still don't know why everyone seems to be calling for Hart to be included. Fair enough if he had a good 45 minutes against Killie but he was rubbish against Dumbarton
  11. That explains it :003:
  12. We won 3 Home games though :017: Livingston Dundee United Falkirk Says on those stats only 2 home wins!!
  13. Are the Home win against Livingston & the away win against Falkirk included in CC stats for season 2005/6?? He was caretaker manager for both those games
  14. Personally the bone of contention has been our home form, regardless of manager over the last couple of years. Looking at the stats its more likely that a home fan will see the team lose than win
  15. Home Form Won Lost Drawn Points 3 4 5 14 Away Form Won Lost Drawn Points 8 3 3 27 Based on Alex Stats
  16. It's only his 5th booking but thats by the by. He hasn't played well since last season IMO before he got that knee injury. He'll miss the Dunfermline game now won't he??
  17. That's his 5th booking. I THINK that means a one match ban? GREAT result though - well done the lads. Our Jekyll & Hyde home and away form continues.......
  18. Read some good news on the BBc website apparently Kilmarnock striker Steven Naismith is rated doubtful with an ankle injury :clapping04:
  19. Can the locals understand a word he says?? :015:
  20. NO!!!!
  21. It's an away game. Whoever plays knows exactly what the tactics, etc are :006:
  22. VERY likely to be the same team as against Dundee United :006:
  23. To be fair the folk who did stay away tonight probably got the best deal :017:
  24. We never really looked capable of scoring if the truth be told. Once Falkirk scored it was game over. There is no width in the side. Plan A like RIG said is to pump it long. Plan B is a long throw in into the box and then that's us out of ideas. Doesn't really inspire me to go &watch the next home game against Dunfermline :007:
  25. Give Rory a game. Can't do any worse than Bayne. McSwegan should only be a last resort
