  1. …and Mrs Gringo shows us all how to play a Joker - nice one
  2. What worries me now is an obviously fired up Queens Park taking on an Airdrie side with their focus on the playoffs. Airdrie are likely to play a weakened side next week and I doubt there will be any favours coming our way.
  3. Dog formation probably isn’t the issue, we’ve got the wrong breed - we need Rottweilers not cuddly Cockapoos! We’re playing ourselves into a position where goal difference might very well now matter. If it stays the same today a draw for QP against Airdrie next week wouldn’t be good enough for them if we beat Morton - but we simply MUST beat Morton otherwise it’s a trip to Montrose…

  5. That was a sore one to take but I can’t find it in me to attribute any blame to the players for Friday night’s result, that’s just fekkin football and the best team doesn’t necessarily win. They did more than enough to get the 3 points and were just denied by some bad luck and superb goalkeeping. I can even overlook the shoddy 10 minutes after the break, it happens, their efforts in the other 80 minutes should have given us the 3 points - unlucky lads, you gave it a ruddy good go. That leaves us now with 2 cup finals to go, we really can’t afford any other slip ups. Our vastly superior goal difference counts for sod all if Queens win their final 2 games, we needed to be 2 points clear to allow us the luxury of a draw in either match. So many variables though - for us, perhaps Dunfermline and Morton might not be so pumped up now, given they’re both out of playoff contention at either end of the table. As for QP, no telling what kind of fight Arbroath will put up against them, and more importantly, will Airdrie take their foot off the gas and rest some key players for the playoffs? What I saw on Friday night gives me the confidence we have enough in our locker to do it, but we most certainly need to do it ourselves!
  6. Dunfermline @ 2.1 ta… …typical that Edinburgh City finally got their win on Tuesday night - I was banking on them catapulting me to the top of the table!

  8. STFU I agree with a lot of what you say but I’m sure most of us don’t believe a voice on the board is a magic pill, more a step in the right direction that may help. Like you I have no faith in the the management, I don’t trust them one iota, but I would trust an ST board representative to try their very best, giving the fans a voice and good honest communication about what’s going on. I like Yngwie’s very relevant comment about pointless opposition - it doesn’t stop me voting in a Tory dominated constituency, at the very least they know there are dissenting voices out there. And I’d echo his question about your thoughts on direct action.

  10. I don’t think giving someone a fiver is a big enough incentive…
  11. I’m finding it hard to shake off the feeling that it wouldn’t have mattered if we’d kept Dodds or brought anybody else in. Same feeling goes for ditching him now, wouldn’t make any difference, the problems go far deeper than whoever fills the manager role and it’s dragging us ever downwards
  12. Without a shadow of doubt next week is a must win game if ever there was one! If we do win it, and it is a big if, then hopefully that will give them some confidence to take into the QP game and beyond. All we can do is hope, I think the believe ship has already sailed.

  15. It’s seasons like this that make me glad I live 600 miles away and work every Saturday - thankfully the decision to go or not go is taken out of my hands.
  16. I actually have more hope about getting something from the next two games because they’re away, despite who we’re playing…

  18. Absolutely agree with Robert - the crucial bit for me is 'no worse than 8th'. I would not fancy our chances in a relegation playoff against (most likely) an Accies side with their tails up and something to prove, whilst we have a team with a large number of loanees ready to depart back to their parent clubs. I'm not decrying their effort and commitment but when it comes to the crunch they wouldn't be as likely to put everything on the line and give 110% in that situation. We should, however, have enough quality in our squad to keep us out of that position and hopefully they'll click together sooner rather than later to climb clear of that dreaded 9th place.
