  2. I’m sorry but if that’s happening then I’m just about done with all this - was in two minds about contributing to the funding and how much but not now, they are taking the p…
  3. The board members who failed in their duty HAVE to be accountable, be honest enough to admit their culpability in the lack of due diligence and overseeing Gardiner’s antics, and have the decency to say sorry! After that they can tell us how they’ll each improve personally to ensure the likes of this debacle can never happen again, and what their plans and ideas are to get us out of the mess they’ve helped to create. Until they do I’ll have no confidence to put any money into a bottomless pit that won’t save our club. I’m not that naive to expect cast iron guarantees but I will need to have some level of assurance that it’s a worthwhile ongoing venture.
  4. Scotty, thank you! Reading the shareholder’s letter this morning I just didn’t know where to begin with a response. I just kept thinking ‘seriously?’ and WTF as I read through it. Absolutely spot on with voicing my thoughts and feelings far more capably than I ever could have done - cheers
  5. An interesting perspective Cherly, a bit like Labour’s £22 billion black hole they knew nothing about! I’d like to give Charlie the benefit of any doubt though, as the last few years seems to have been completely off the wall and shrouded in mystery by the scheming and controlling of Gardiner. I imagine, like the rest of us, that Charlie was fooled and trusted those who should have been carrying out the required and necessary due diligence. There are still a number of personalities involved with the running of the club that need to explain themselves, and still plenty miles yet to go on this unpleasant journey, but I do trust Charlie and Alan Savage to sort it all out for the benefit of the club and supporters rather than for themselves.
  6. The outstanding stat in that table is the Goal Difference - quite incredible! Eight games in today and we’re F6 A6 GD 0 … and that’s in a league of 3rd tier part-timers!
  7. 11 years on from that landmark peak at the top of the Premiership and we manage to hold mighty Stenhousemuir to a goalless draw at home - I could never have imagined back then we would be in this position in just 10 seasons. I applaud all of you who turn up for each game, these days I’m quite glad to have the excuse of not being able to make the 1100 mile round trip to witness the decline. Hopefully things will eventually turn around to reward you for your continuing loyalty, sadly I doubt it will be anytime soon with Dunkin Donuts still there.

  16. …if the Makwana deal hadn’t been stopped in its tracks then I don’t think the club would have survived until the end of the season.
  17. Sounds like Alan is going to give Gardiner a right Savaging. His narcissistic ego will be his downfall, should have walked away with his tail between his legs when he had the chance. By the time Alan’s deep dive forensic audit is completed SG won’t have a tail left!
  18. Pretty much agree with the positive comments and I will be buying one to mark the 30th anniversary. Was in two minds about the badge though, being a bit of an old fuddy-duddy traditionalist my first reaction was disappointment our proper club badge wasn’t on it. Having said that, on reflection, I think the design and colour of that badge goes nicely with the shirt and being for a one-off anniversary I think it works very well. I particularly like the way the eagle head is incorporated into the C, nicely done

  21. Thems was the days! Absolute joy to watch Pele’s teams, go 3 down and still believe you could win…
  22. That’s a very good point Scotty, I didn’t pick up on that when I first read it…
  23. Difference between the two Fergusons is quite stark though… Alex Ferguson went to United with a proven track record of success, so there was a certain degree of confidence that he could turn things around and succeed. Our Ferguson, however, has a proven track record of failure and I’m sure I’m not the only one with a certain degree of confidence that he’s quite incapable of turning things around!
