  1. Oh no!! another great start to second half,
  2. Half time, hope Terry gets team talk right this week, sounds like we were better team in first half
  3. Eh....you lost me completley there Don? Whoooosh. whoooosh indeed.......av re read the thread...and it still makes no sense. put me out of my misery. am having a blonde moment Computer mouse :004:
  4. We are getting closer to transfer window and a number of our players are on 1 year contracts, have any of them impressed enough to have other clubs come sniffing around them at Xmas offering them pre-contracts. Hayes? Sanchez? Foran? any others that might be targets?
  5. That is bang on in my opinion, when they went to 4-3-3 we did nothing to counter it and that cost us the cup after having one hand on it .
  6. Seems like the solution is clear, a pub open from 1pm to 6pm matchdays bang in the middle of North Stand just behind singing section if only.
  7. The latest rumour on this subject is that a full revamp of all leagues in Scotland is being looked at and an invitation may be issued to some teams in the Irish top league to come and join us. Away games in Ireland would be brilliant.
  8. Yep would agree with that, thankfully we haven't had any injuries in that area, apart from Duff but if we did could be struggling, I would imagine if TB has any cash to spend in the Xmas window it is defence he will be looking at.
  9. What about putting the singing section at far end of Main stand close to the away support, I feel there is always a better atmosphere when there is a bit of banter between the 2 sets of fans. The hospitality seats could then be moved to far end of main stand, just a thought
  10. Think Duff is out for the whole season which is a shame. I thought that might have been the case, yes real shame, real prospect but will see the best of him in the future I am sure
  11. Problem I see with this is that there are people that have had the same seat for years and are happy with it, not been able to get their seats at the start of the season might have a negative effect on the number of tickets sold.
  12. Depends who we can get, been struggling to fill this position since Dods left with the exception of Pavel, would rather keep Bully than go through the while McGuire etc procession of rubbish again. When is Duff fit again? he would also be decent back up
  13. Very difficult to say, it might not even be between us and Dundee, no team has really stood out so far.
  14. Fixed it! :tonguecheek:
  15. Hayes looks real quality a real find, if anything he is perhaps not fully matchfit, different to actual fitness, last thing I would want to be doing is get shot of him.
  16. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't make it a lie!! I take it from that you studied Niculae's career closely in 2004 and consider yourself a better judge of a footballer that Wenger or whoever was manager of Milan at the time as the fact of the matter was he was 3 weeks away from signing a pre-contract with them when his cruciate ligament went for the first time. I lived in Romania when he first burst onto the scene in Romania and when he signed for Sporting there was huge hype about him, he was 15 and a half when he made his Dinamo debut.
  17. A friend sent me this, I remember Marius telling me how he turned down Arsenal and decided to join Milan but then he got a bad injury, strange how life turns out one minute the San Siro next TCS!! Niculae snubs Arsenal for Milan 18.11 || webmaster Sporting Lisbon forward Marius Niculae has turned down offers from Hertha Berlin and Arsenal after admitting he expects to sign for AC Milan at the end of the season. "I want to thank the clubs for their interest in me, but I will only go and play in Italy," he said. The Romania forward, who scored a crucial goal in his country's World Cup play-off defeat in Slovenia last weekend, has been linked with a move away from Portugal after an impressive start to his career in Lisbon, in which he has scored seven goals in his first eleven league games. And he admitted that international team-mate and Milan wing-back Cosmin Contra has been trying to persuade the young star to move to the San Siro when the Italian transfer window re-opens in January. "If Milan really want me, then they must wait until the summer. I don't like to leave a team in the middle of the season. I came to Portugal for Boloni and I know that my next destination will be Italy. I also know that the interest of the Rossoneri is not new. "My friend Contra said that I must hurry, but I replied that I would stay calm, because I never took decisions in a hurry." Contra added: "I use every moment to tell Marius to come to Milan, to play in a great club. But he is very difficult to convince." Niculae, whose buy-out clause is ?12 million, continued: "I never said that I intended to finish my career in Sporting. I respect the coach Boloni very much. He helped me a lot, by naming me for the first time in Romanian senior squad, and I really want to return the favour by winning some trophies with my club. "But my dream is to play one day in my favourite championships, in Italy or Spain. With all respect to the other clubs from Germany or England, I am not attracted by playing there. "I received offers from Germany and from England, but like I said, from when I was a child I dreamed of playing in Italy. I want to thank Hertha Berlin and also Arsenal for their interest in me – I am really very honoured – but I will only go and play in Italy. And only if something spoils that dream, my second choice will be Spain." AC Milan face Sporting in next week's Uefa Cup tie and the Italians are set to ask their opponents to release sell them Niculae during the winter. But Sporting, who snapped up the international in a cut-price ?2 million deal in August from Dinamo Bucharest, want to hold on to their prized asset until the end of the season. The Milan board may settle on a compromise which will see Niculae sign a pre-contract agreement committing to a San Siro switch in the summer. Earlier this sesason, Niculae, whose contract runs out in 2004, dismissed speculation linking him with Real Madrid. "One thing is certain, I feel good at Sporting and I want to respect the contract which I have at the club." Niculae famously turned down the chance to sign for Manchester United when he refused to travel to Old Trafford for a trial last season
  18. I certainly don't think its a heinous crime, what I do think is that it perhaps shows how proud he is to be manager of the club, and if what I hear from contacts in the game I trust he is applying for every available job in England are true perhaps also his commitment. I wonder when people are going to stop believing the Butcher PR bull.
  19. Just consulted somebody who has done a lot of TV work and he said he will have a lot of say in what is put there and can certainly insist on what is put there.
  20. See that myself, disappointing but not surprised, think it was Scotty that predicted this would be the case when he lost Scotland gig.
  21. I can never remember a game where a team can go from been so good in the first half to so bad in the second half. Butcher deserves credit for getting it right with the starting line up but got it badly wrong in the second half no more so than with his subs baffling to say the least Somebody that is in the game not an armchair fan texted me 5 or 10 minutes into the second half and said "you lot are going to have to change things around or you are going to get a doing" well we didn't and we did get a doing. I hope Butcher can learn from his mistakes as he is not to far away from getting it right.
  22. Please think about what you have just posted. I find it disturbing coming from an ICT fan. Why? do you consider us one of the giants of European Football, we are a wee club nothing to be ashamed in that. So should Terry Butcher be embarassed about managing our "wee" team? Are you embarrased to support our "wee" team? At least he has shown he's not a quitter by sticking at football management, he obviously has a passion for the game and who knows what he can expect if he achieves promotion? Maybe a move to a "bigger" team than us. John Terry would be lucky to be managing a "wee" team like ours in 20 years time. Sorry but I don't see where he mentioned that anyone would be embarrassed , he was just stating the fact that we are a wee team and he couldn't see John Terry managing ICT in 20 years and if John Terry's managerial career goes even half as well as his playing one I think that is a fair comment. I think it is fair to say that Butchers managerial career has not gone as well as he would have liked so far. And by your own admission we are a "wee team" as in your post it states Butcher could " Maybe a move to a "bigger" team than us " if he got us promoted.
  23. Yes very true
  24. I will have some off what you are drinking Alex :) Seriously good on you optimistic in the extreme :015:
  25. If anyone is interested in testing this type of thing I have a couple of invites available, pm me if you are interested
