  1. Excuse me but is this not when we need a strong manager that is proud of managing his team and will stick up for them and is not just an ex rangers captain, just a question .
  2. Bronson you sound worried , stay calm !!
  3. Davie sorry really don't mean to be negative but tactics are for 90 mins not 45mins and we have got it wrong over 90 minutes recently
  4. The wisest comment posted here in a while. Yes you are probably right and have said it myself, only thing that hacks me off is that if anyone doubts Butchers managerial abilities it is met with derision like he can do no wrong. Steve, I don't agree. I don't think I can name a single poster on here who is a Butcher "apologist". No-one is particularly satisfied with our start to the season; it's just that some people are taking the long view and thinking it would be better for the club to allow him to see out his contract and then start afresh in summer without any additional financial upheaval for the club. Yes fully understand that, perhaps its just my reading of it as in when anyone seems to doubt Butcher they are shot down.
  5. Probably the sensible one. The way I feel is that rightly or wrongly the board gave Butcher a number of players on 1 year contracts on the hope we would bounce back up, if we don't we will probably lose a lot of these players so to think that the rebuilding is happening now is wrong that will take place after this season and will be a lot more difficult. Butcher was taken to keep the club up, to be fair he was very close I would imagine that his next task would be to take the club back up and I think he is struggling badly in that task, again that is not easy but he must of thought he could if not he should have stood down and let somebody that thought they could do it.
  6. Glad I didn't see this thread before now as I would probably have said the same Mannie  Best laugh I had today was on twitter during the game, a ICT supporter said Partick would be better with Amy MacDonald than Lovell, after he scored the official Amy MacDonald replied to said ICT fan with "as you were saying" ouch!!

  8. Yes I would agree with that but many were calling for his head (not me as I wrongly thought he would turn it round to begin with) as the signs were there it wasn't going right, I honestly think that Butchers PR is keeping a lot of people from seeing the reality that we are also going backwards under his stewardship.
  9. I fail to see what how he is much better that Brewster, we have dropped a division, he has no idea how to change a team to counter what the opposition manager has done, today it appears he was outfoxed by McCall enough said, sorry would love to say he is the right man but failing to see how he is. What I don't understand is why when people wanted Brew out it the right thing (which it was) but when we don't think Butcher is up for the job it is considered negative
  10. Don't think we will be anywhere near relegation battle but think we have to take almost max points from next 5 games to even think about winning league
  11. Its quite ironic at half time we were all hoping fog wouldn't stop the game, in second half we were all wanting it to get thicker so it would be called off.
  12. At least 12 league games. Cheers Alex, was just wondering if he faded in games as he wasn't match fit. Whatever a great asset to have and to be fair hats of to Butcher for finding him
  13. Not many people know that Dougie Donnelly had a major influence in us winning the title that year :thumb04:
  14. Get used to the fact that, if you don't follow the popular opinions on this forum you will be hounded and eventually barred. I completely agree that Butcher is incompetent, tactically inept and is a complete disaster for this club. I was barred from the Partick thread today for referring to him as English! the assumption was that this was a derogatory term. it was not. However, when I called him a **** it was. Can I "jokingly" say that Scotty is becoming a bit of a naturalised Canadian fool? You can't seem to see that's not the case, I have repeatedly said that Butcher is not the man for the job, I have never once been pulled up, I have never had a warning, perhaps you should have a wee think about how you put your points across.
  15. Anyone know off hand how many games he has started, can't be bothered checking and I know some on here have ceefax brain's.
  16. Whether you have lost faith in him, the board have lost faith in him or the main shareholder have lost faith in him doesn't matter a jot as they can't afford to get rid of him (not saying they want to get rid of him) and his fantastic sidekick Malpas, unless they walk they will both be there until the end of the season so best just get used to it. Problem is i can't which is reffering to bit in bold. One solution would be for Butch to resign as we ain't going to win the league at this rate so he must know he is failing from the goal that he set himself. A manager that still has the possibility of winning the league ain't going to walk, do I think he is going to win the league, no but then again I never thought we would, its a tough league. I am not defending Butcher as I have made it clear already I don't rate him and I think his previous record backs that up what I am saying is I don't think things will change in then near future
  17. :thumb04: Might be better if Butcher just went away for a pie and pint somewhere at half time as whatever he says just ain't working, or perhaps its a case of like last week and like Dundee, Partick changed things around and he didn't react to it again, will be interesting to hear from those that were at the game.

  19. Not a chance
  20. There just happen to be a lot of very good ICT fans that also happen to be English wind your neck in
  21. I think the players proved last week in the first half they are good enough.
  22. Unbelievable now losing 2-1, and thing is at half time we probably all had the dreaded feeling this was going to happen
  23. Eric on for Sanchez
  24. We might be praying for more fog soon now Scotty
