  1. Back to brewster, if he was to play it would be one of the highlights of a pretty dull season (aside from beating celtic), and some much-needed excitement injected to an end of season game. Only wish we could have given him a bigger send-ff against a bigger team.
  2. And i was merely posting to disagree and debate your recent post. I will try to adhere to your guidelines and make a more positive contribution to this forum. :009: :019:
  3. No-one else knows more than Brew how to play Crawford.
  4. I don't need to have been posting to know what the general consensus is among fans. Slating Brewster and the team won't help anything, just encourage fickle fans to jump on the bandwagon. :33: :33:
  5. Crawford IS past-it, but could be a decent signing if it means we have someone that works in Brewsters long-ball tactics system. Bayne is too inconsistent to hold odwn a place in the first team and wyness can be brushed off the ball easily. I've been hearing whispers of this potential signing for a couple of weeks from fellow ICT fans, and most have been quick to put down the ex-scotland cap. If only Brewster could still play we would have one ofthe best striking partnerships on the spl. Who else are we going to get??? I'm sure I'll think of someone. :024: :024:
  6. With dunfermline not offering the 34 yr old a new contract he looks set to leave in the summer, Brewster's old friend and teammate will be available for any clubs stupid enough to buy him. Mark Burchill and Stephen Simmons have already gone on trial at county , maybe stevie crawford can be persuaded up here. :020: :020: An experienced SPL player available at decent wages??? Or a past-it journeyman using his contacts in football to find himself a club out of the limelight??? :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024: :024:
  7. I would love to see marius in an ict shirt next shirt, he has the hard-work ethic, the likeability and the love of life in the highlands to make a success of himself next season. I feel sorry for him that fans have decided to blame him for a poor season when he has had to adjust to a new country, language, standard of life and teammates. Now he has established himself in theteam, had a player of the month award and become a relative fans favourite. A true genius, but one who can vastly improve on his goal ratio. However if we vstart to mould the team around him, instead of punting useless balls up the park each and every game, then we could see a legend in the making.
  8. No-one seemed to point this out when we were on a good run. Until he leaves I'll be backing him and the team.
  9. Who else would we get? Paterson has freefalled all the way down, Robertson is a grumpy ar$ehole, Baltacha is probably a builder now and no other managers will take a chance on us. And please don't say Derek Adams. :33: :33:
  10. Paataleinen has had more than a chance, and looked less than ok every time I've seen him. The only player worse than him is wyness, and even he has had better times.
  11. And maybe with his playing carrer behind him he can focus on getting rid of the deadwood (wyness, paataleinen, mcdonald) and bringing in some quality. Brewster should get more credit for the way he took over a club that had lost their opening three games, previous manager hd resigned and team spirit was non-existent. With a pre-season under him I believe nezt season will be a success.
  12. Bearing in mind that we are 4th bottom and need results like yesterdays to at least send the fans home looking forward to a new season. These performances have been lacking of late, but the signs were good against aberdeen and it looks as though the problems are mostly behind the team. No game is meaningless.
  13. And I reckon Brew would be delighted to be playing in Euro 2008. Maybe even a little surprised considering we haven't qualified. Although he is usually the type of person who likes a good boost of his ego, I think we may have seen the last of man.
  14. Apart form Marius, he is the best striker we have at the club right now and it would only be proper to give him a good send off. Maybe it'd add a few hundred more to the gate?
  15. With Brewster retiring at the end of this season and ICT at home for the last game, will Brew be playing himself? Fans and media alike seem to have forgotten this, what would be his final game as a player. Unless he is sacked and moves down several leagues. Brewster seems to have found a speciality for deflating excitement out of a situation, which can sometimes be a good thing, so maybe he is hoping to keep out of the limelight and give Wyness or Paatalienen their chance to win a contract. For me it would add a little spice to what looks to be a rather unspicy fixture against a mediocre and somewhat underachieving Saints side. And maybe a few fans from from down the A9 might wish to send brewster off? Wyness, Wilson, Brewster, Hart all going this will be the last time to see the old guard in action. Or not :symbol_question:
  16. A win is a win, doesn't matter what SPL side we beat its another gratefully received three points in the bag. Next season when we are beating off relegation results like this will be important. For me today was a very good and efficient peformance, we got the goals when we needed them, only a couple of decent chances for the other team, a classy goal and celebration plus a decent referee.
  17. NO. Not a good player, past his best and only twice as good as Wyness.
  18. Every man apart from Wyness played very well and looked like they wanted it a lot more than the Killie players, especially Marius. Fantastic goal and celebration, either shows he wants to stay or knows he's offski in the summer. Imrie my man of the match, looks like a good buy from the best manager in the spl. :33:
  19. Simply for his goal and celebration today, the man should be given a pay rise. The mans a genius. :crazy07: :crazy07:
  20. Dargo has been tried and tested. He fits into the squad seamlessly and I've only seen him play badly a in a couple of games. He would be the best signing we could realsitically make at this present time. Or at least better than anyone from Chester. Next season we need all the goals we can get, so I doubt Brewster will ever give Zander his chance he deserves, maybe Vigurs will play a minor part in a few games. Apart from that, Brewster has to find another quality player for peanuts, and not find another monkey like Zibi or Mcguire.
  21. Now all we need is the old team spirit, the old away form, the old Brewster and a new Ian Black and we'll be fine. From reading St.Mirren fans posts on Pie and Bovril, they aren't too impressed with Dargos workrate. Maybe he hasn't found paisley to be the paradise he thought it was...
  22. Dream scenario would be a Niculae and Dargo frontline with Juanjo out wide. Are Dargo and Juanjo good enough to save us from impending relegation? :024: :020:
  23. The only player we've bought from down south that has been a relative success is Ian Black. Apart from that, Morgan, McDonald, Barnes and That Guy We Had On Trial After He Had Been Released By Newcastle have all tried and failed. Although maybe Emmanuel could be the man to turn this around and be the first player from England to make a real success of himself. Tokely and Emmanuel playing on the same pitch :021: :021: :021:
  24. Looks a good player, would certainly be useful to have around. Wilson, Paatalainen, Hart, Wyness and McDonald out and this boy in would seem like a fair deal to me.
  25. The club are reportedly paying about half of Niculaes wages, which amounts to over ?2k a week, plus Dargo hasn't exactly been setting the world alight with his performances for the saints. Even with that and my hopeful optimism, the only way I can see this happening is if we get in some funding from other sources. If we do, then Brewster will need to win over the majority of fans again and spend the newfound money wisely, and one way of doing so would be to buy one the best strikers to grace the ICT pitch.
