  1. Another rumour i have heard whispered is the iminent bid of ICT for St.Johnstone's young striker Andy Jackson. He has had an impressive season for the Saints, also getting his first cap for the Irish under-18 team. This has led to interest from around the country including from Burnley, who ex-mentor Owen Coyle is currently in charge of, as well as a number of other English sides. With ICT currently in the market for 2 new strikers, i am sure they would be delighted to sign a talented up-and-coming striker apart from Rory Mcallister. :023: :023: Also, with Jackson plying his trade in Perth and his family, I'm assuming, living in Falkirk, there should be no problems persuading him up to Inverness. :022: Good buy??? :024: :024:
  2. Out of any ex-ict player, i would like to see Juanjo back in our colours more than anyone else. A very good player and someone the fans can appreciate. PLus we need another cult hero once marius has been forced out.
  3. I have a number of friends who support county, and they all say he is definetly not SPL quality. But they also said imrie and rankin were not good enough, so maybe they could be wrong. In the end, i don't think that we will sign him. Interest from england will overule the mans senses and soon he will be playing in the blue square premier league with farsley celtic, coming off the bench to grab a consolation goal aginst Burton Albion. His choice.
  4. Not sure it would have much impact on proceedings, but you could set it up at thepetitionsite.com I would sign it, and i know of many others who would as well. :022:
  5. I get the feeling that we will need to grow accustom to the headline 'caley signing failure' or 'brewster target snapped up'. PLayers from england will never move up here, most honestly believe that Inverness is the back and beyond and that we don't have tv. Brew will have to use all his contacts possible to get a few quality players this summer. But then again we have cowie, munro, fraser and (so far) niculae. We could only have use for a couple of backups.
  6. Marius is a genius, has shown glimpses of a real class act this season and should stay. By all accounts he enjoys it in the highlands and we should strive to keep one of our best players for what looks like a very difficult season ahead. BUT the ict board will probably shove him out the door as fast as they can if he does perform at the euros. How about a petition for Marius to stay?? :clapping03: :clapping03:
  7. my guess would be: 1st - rangers 2nd - celtic 3rd - hibs 4th - dundee utd 5th - motherwell 6th - aberdeen 7th - falkirk 8th - inverness ct 9th - hearts 10th - st mirren 11th - kilmarnock 12th - hamilton
  8. Other clubs mascots are great, like dundee's, but ours definitely look as if they were designed by 2 yr olds, which they were, and never stick around for the match. wonder how much one gets paid for that job??
  9. From the disappearence of Icat and the hilariously tepid response from fans to Nessie, i have taken it upon myself to design our new mascot : his name would be the caley jaggie, being a huge hypodermic needle that sprays alchohol from its tip to get the home fans in a frenzy welcoming him. :crazy07: :crazy07: :crazy07: :crazy07: any other ideas :symbol_question:
  10. don't mean to sound stupid, bit where was don born?
  11. am i the only one who thinks last seaosn wasn't that bad, and the bad recent run has just soured the end-of-season feeling for most fans. Obviously there were points to heed and improve on but all in all the team produced some performances to be proud of.
  12. Cowie has been a great signing and has proved himself at the highest level of football in scotland. Can only be a matter of time before someone else comes in with an offer too good to refuse. ps my thanks to graham linton or whoever i was for including me in the couriers 'fan mail' bit, proudest moment of my literary career. :004: :024:
  13. Other teams improving meant we were always going to struggle to reach the top six. Next season could be worse if brewster doesn't start signing up players the likes of st mirren, falkirk and aberdeen have. We've surprised people before though.
  14. anyone know the deadline before they go on general release??
  15. and your a experienced spl manager are you???? maybe not but i've seen it happen too many times this season, we are not playing well and being pushed back for the last 10-15 minutes or so, then brewster waits until we actually go behind to make a change, and by this time we have no chance of hitting back.
  16. One thing i would encourage bewster to start is to recognise the way a game swings, and make a substitution earlier when its needed, not once we've gone behind.
  17. Imries been superb last couple of games, brewster doesn't deserve the negative comments from some of the 'fans' on here.
  18. dargo :clapping03: :blah01: re-signing proctor as well :021:
  19. i voted for 'complete trust' as i think we will always go on runs that will haul us up the table every so often. Brewster has developed a good habit of picking up a good quality player every now and then, hope he can do it again in the summer.
  20. hes got a great goal return, all good goals as well. Destined for the big time, hope we can hang onto him for a couple more seasons.
  21. Thought brew could have substituted denzil and niculae a little later than he did, last games and all.
  22. Heard one story about us attempting to sign Richie Byrne after his impending release from aberdeen. Would be useful back-up. Another type of player i'd like us to look at is Canning of queens park. He may be playing in a basically amateur team, but he has been impressive every time i've seen him and might be able to cut it at a higher level.
  23. If st mirren are anything as inferior to us next season as they were today no way are we being relegated. Next season is make or break, and we have to improve to meet the increasingly high standards of the fans.
