Delighted about Warren. Been arguably our best player so far this season. Added some real experience and solidarity to the backline.
  2. at this level players convert chances. fact !!!!!!! At all levels players miss chances - fact!

Great news, 2 of our stand out players. As said it could be a real boost ahead of el Kessocko.
  4. One of the more entertaining 0-0 draws ive seen. Was end to end at times. Would be fair to say United had the better in the 2nd half but both teams passed up great chances to go ahead. I was impressed by Stuart Armstrong. He added the edge to their play when he came on...though his finishing was pretty woeful. Agreed that Andy Shinnie had a great game, covered every blade of grass and looked our most likely way of getting a goal. Defensively was where we looked at our best though. For 2 lads barely in their 20's Devine and Meekings had a great game. Their reading of the game was excellent, some of the interceptions and tackles were top notch. If Devine carries on like this i hope there is a new contract for him at the end of the season. Thought OTJ's distribution was great from midfield too, picked out some great passes. The table lies when it comes to quality of teams this season, United are still a great side and a 0-0 draw with them in my opinion is still a really good result. Hope we find that extra 10% for Saturday, we are going to need it as there is all to play for in this derby. Having Foran and Warren back will be key, cant wait for Saturday.

If the unspeakable happens then its not even up for discussion...Butcher out
  6. I remember him as a lanky defender that couldnt head the ball and spoke next to no english, Munro and Fraser were constantly at him. But he set up both goals from corners. I agree, he was best left unsigned.
  7. I would happily put Warren in the same league as Dods. For a long time people said we had never properly replaced Dods but i would say Warren is as close as we have ever got. He settled into the defence almost instantly. He is clearly a team leader, he's been one of our most consistent players this season too. Definitely got the ability to be captain.
  8. Warren has more goals than all of County's strikers this season. Fun fact for the day.
  9. Rory McAllister and Gary McSwegan are missing. Why??? Darran Thomson as well, a winger who couldnt cross, that was never going to work.

Oh dear we may drop to 3rd between now and the end of the season. The panic button needs hammered!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Like many dissapointed not to have taken a result today. For large chunks of the game we dominated posession but just couldnt turn into goals, Celtic on the other hand were clinical with their chances, apart from picking the ball out of his net Esson didnt really have a great deal to do. Foran was missed today. Aerially, defensively and as a team leader. Doran and Raven got some great crosses into the area but there was no one at the back post and they were easily dealt with, same problem with set pieces. Cant help but think McGeouch would have been marked tighter by Foran as well, he was given too much time on the ball and i think just as an overall presence on the pitch he was missed. There were some positives from the game. Thought Doran was acceptional and he certainly gave his best as did both Shinnies (even though Andy was about 30% fit) and Nick Ross who im glad to see back. Took his goal well and showed one or two moments of promise. Back to back defeats is a bit of a concern but we havent looked bad in the games we have played. Just need to get back to our clinical ways. Hopefully starting next Wednesday. Also agree with the criticism on Thomson. Some of his decisions were baffling today. Blatant bookings ignored, penalty shouts ignored and stopping play for Beram Kayal was ridiculous. There was nothing wrong with him.

The few times Foran has played centre forward he has looked really good in that area, would allow us to give the likes of Pepper or Ross more of a run out. Dosent speak for much just now though given that Foran is injured.

He's like an ICT version of Salamon Kalou.
  14. Someone once described me as a Stat Head on the forum...you can see why
  15. Damn. I should read more slowly ... Raven, Esson and Draper were ex Shrewsbury. Still proud of the first answer haha
  16. Steve Hislop, Dean McDonald and David Graham - all played for Gillingham.
  17. Trust Lionel to be the last one, that was a fun wee game.

petulant, arrogant, showboater who cries when his team concedes last minute goals...
  20. Xausa played for Dordrecht, Zibi played for Feynoord, Bulvitis played for Tranzit, Hogg played for Boston, Irish gremlin a Pittodrie played for Forest Green.

He's 23 now, i cant help but think he will be off permanently sooner rather than later. He's getting to that stage where he needs to be an established regular in a team.

Taylor will be a free agent at the end of the season, can see us going for him then. Any new signings we get this season will be loans.
  24. Shambolic, means now we are only 23 points off Dundee, we are staring relegation in the face.
