  1. Was great to be part of the fanbase that made the journey. Unfortunately the match didnt even live up to the standard it was built up to be. Hamilton to be blunt were crap. They are so anti-football, 10 men behind the ball and no attacking flair without Offiong, they created virtually nothing yet still took all 3 points. What i couldn't understand was the midfield formation for us and neither could the players i think at times. I remember Morais and Cowie getting in each others way on the right and i also remember Hamilton switching the play to the right wing and no was covering Tokely because no one knew who was doing it and none of our strikers got a shot at goal i think despite Cerny constantly dropping every ball he took. Defensively i thought we were reasonably solid and simply lost the game by showing no bottle to take a shot when running at goal. The only good thing Brewster did throughout the game was take off Duncan who for me was such a liability yesterday and has been in recent weeks, it should be him getting dropped, not Black!
  2. Was in front of a set of guys who were arguing over Robbo coming back after one guy and his mates started chanting Robbos name.
  3. Just goes to show how much money we waste on trialists. Ryan Esson was never on trial, he was released by Hereford and then came up here for signing talks during a trial with Queen of the South.

    Barrowman

He was terrible yesterday but playing him as a lone striker does not help. He is having to cover to much ground just to get the ball when he is meant to be poaching and finishing services that are provided but i only recall at least 2 decent crosses that went into the box yesterday. Yes Rooney is more prolific but there are times when he shows very little intrest as well and Wood is not a goalscorer but is arguably our biggest threat given our current style of play. Given Brewster was a striker for the best part of 25 years i see this as the most incompetent thing he has done since returning. Getting rid of 3 stalwarts in Bayne, Wyness, and Niculae who yes i grant left for various reasons but replacing them with a set of strikers who haven't even got a proven record at 1st division level in Scottish football. That to me is what bad managment is. He didn't even look to sign a fairly expericenced striker in the summer and i had fears that it would show and it certainly has and it is proving to be our biggest downfall.
  5. Shows what little intrest they take in the clubs situation or know about it. Graham Bennett has no right to question us as supporters when all his contributions include messing up the contracts of key players. Sutherland needs to stop worrying about his business side to the club and start worrying about whats happening on the pitch.
  6. I wonder if he regrets leaving us.

    Brewster Poll

I really don't see any other alternative. As a manager it is his job to project confidence into the players with every game being vital at the moment and he isn't doing it. Going to games has been very unenjoyable for the last 2 months, listening to fans chant in numbers for him to go and even though i feel he should go it does get harder to listen to everytime i go to a game. But no matter how much we talk about it our board will just hide away until it's too late because they won't be willing to spare any of their precious cash to pay him off.

    Rory

Ta ta Rory. Overall you won't be missed but i will never forget when you relegated Dunfermline.
  9. I watched a Scunthorpe game on Sky Sports last season and i seem to recall Iriekpen playing very well in that game. what does this mean for McGuire and Proctor?? Surely we don't have enough space for all of them plus Munro and Mihadjuks. May well be a wake up call for some of the current guys in our backline who have all under performed at some point this season. But i think should we get this guy midfield and attack should be the real priorty after that.
  10. Barrowman was even more prolific at lower league level ! What we need is someone with SPL experience. Only reason Barrowman was scoring goals in the 2nd Division, (not 1st which he was terrible in) is because he had a strike partner and some decent service. I really don't see us signing another SPL striker unless he is never playing or its Robbie Winters. So all i can suggest is the best the lower leagues have to offer. Heard that Brewster ruled out a move for Sean Higgins today.
  11. Definitely YES!! Theres been times where none of our strikers have looked like scoring and when they do they either miss the chances or get hesitant and make mistakes. We have no striker which has a proven track record in the SPL or even in the 1st Division which i think was a really poor move from Brewster given he spent about 25 years playing as a striker. The fact that he chops and changes constantly suggests they are not impressing him. The only promise we have had up front is in Adam Rooney but he seems to never play for some reason so yes we do need an experienced striker because we need to find some sort of consistent scoring form if we are to have any chance of getting of the bottom.

    Kerr Released

Heard he was pritty gaff at Elgin so no real loss there imo. Good luck to him for the future though.

    Mikey Fraser

If he is going now then im sure we will see Zibi back come the end of January. It is a repeat of 2 years ago. We lost Dods, Dargo and Brown. Now we have lost Black, probably Fraser and probably Cowie. I'm not saying it's entirely Bennetts fault as it's up to the players for what they do but i really don't think he is a good enough DoF to sort out SPL contracts.
  14. He is yet to score for St Johnstone this season so despite being impressed by his overall play last night i would have to say no. What about Pat Clarke at Clyde? He has bagged 11 goals this season despite the fact that Clyde hover just over the relegation zone.
  15. Not according to the P&J today..... "McAllister and Djebi-Zadi will then be allowed to leave when their contracts expire in the summer, although no decision has yet been made on Sutherland, who was on loan at Elgin City last season." Most of us realised Rory wasn't good enough several years ago and now he has to do a 'Prunty' and drop a couple of divisions and rebuild his career Didn't prunty do a money grab to Gretna? Brew has said, in Courier I think, that Zadi and McAllister will not be getting new contracts. He will, however, be keeping a close eye on Zander. Rory got his chance and didn't take it. Zander is now getting that same chance and hopefully he'll find a decent loan deal and take advantage. It was Bingham who did the money grab to Gretna the season we went up. Ditched SPL footy for the 3rd division and became Dr Deuchars strike partner.
  16. Esson Tokely, Mihadjuks, Munro, Hastings Morais, Cowie, Black, McBain Barrowman, Vigurs subs. Fraser, Byrne, Duff, Gathuessi, Zander, Rooney, Wood This team will never get played unfortunately because Brewster persists with Duncan who for me is such a burden to our midfield.
  17. I don't rate Bennett very highly at all when it comes to negotiating deals for our own players. He is just not at a standard for this in the SPL. But i disagree with those saying the new signings are bad buisness. I heard the same as CaleyD hearing that if Morais and Gathuessi impress they would have their deals extended which to me is fair enough. Byrnes a hit and a miss with his track record so if he impresses and stays fit im sure he will be staying and with Mihadjuks let's just watch with intrest there.... I really think that this is great buisness in the market with still another few weeks to go.
  18. Lionels finished so thats that. But Barrowman is not a bad player. He is a poacher but playing him up front alone is like playing a CD on a Record player...it just isn't going to work. He needs some sort of target man or creativity man up top with him to carve out his chances for him. Against Rangers he had to do everything himself and in the end only carved out one real chance for himself 20 yards from goal. Against Partick i reckon it must have been a bit embarassing for Barrowman watching his tally get levelled by Filipe Morais in less than an hour. But Brewster needs to realise that using Barrowman the way he does ain't going to get goals. When he's been partnered with Rooney it doesn't work because they are far too similar and the reason he missed his chances on Saturday is because he has gone so long without a goal his confidence is shot imo.
  19. I heard theres been intrest from Queen of the South for Rory. This is 4 years too late imo. Also Brewster said he would be "monitoring Zander closely" does this mean he still has a future at ICT? With Byrne in and Hastings already the regular it was inevitable that Djebi-Zadi would go. He just never looked up to SPL standard.
  20. This was arguably this most inevitable signing we were going to make if Lionel was to go and thats exactly what has happened. I reckon he will turn out to be a decent player for us. If anyone can get him to peak fitness it's Brewster and that may help improve Byrne as a player. But no more defenders. we've got enough now. Centre midfielder, left winger and a striker and no bargain basement rubbish. Then i will be happy with our January spendings.
  21. Don't think i would see him as much of a loss. He has been rubbish for the majority of the season and considering we only paid ?35,000 for him i would say benefit from the profit.
  22. The last player we signed who was recomended by members of the coaching staff was Lionel Djebi-Zadi because he was mates with Stuart Garden. Thats hardly a good record to follow from. Chester are 1 of the worst teams in English football at the present. At least Mihadjuks was coming from a decent team in his own country despite not playing. But when you struggle to get into to the Chester team you must be pritty poor. Not the type of player we need imo. But i would love to be proved wrong.
  23. What about his Latvian friend that came with him. Do we plan on recruiting him?

    Morais

He was very impressive today. He may only have played one game but in that one game he has shown everything he can do. His pace was a real threat throughout the whole game. His close control on the ball was top notch and those that said he has no end product can think again because some of his crosses and through balls today created good chances. As well as getting 2 goals. If he carries on playing like that for the rest of the season then we must do our best to make him a long term player.
