  1. Here it is! Vigurs.JPG We won...but we still cant win!!! Blaaaaah
  2. After the season thats just passed i cant help but have total faith in Marsella and the management team when it comes to identifying players, the permanent signings we made all became key members of the team and all chipped in with some telling contributions despite their lack of experience at this level. All the lads coming in may be young and untested at this level as well but with some of the experienced heads around them coupled with the experience Terry and Mo bring to the floor as manager and assistant manager respectively i see no reason why these guys cant have the same impact.
  3. Did we not have the same problem when we tried to sign Terry Gornell? It has something to do with whether or not he has been offered a contract by his current club or not.
  4. Seems like we are working hard to get our business concluded as soon as possible, having most of the current lads already signed up i assume will have helped them focus on new targets. Glad we are strengthening the wide areas, apart from Doran no one really impressed out on the flanks this season and thats us already got some decent options. 1 or 2 strikers are required now i think.
  5. Could always start another 2 word story
  6. Lyle Taylor at Falkirk would be worth a punt, 6 foot 2 and on the back of a prolific season at 1st Division level. When it comes to transfers in Terry we trust!
  7. I want the treble ... if this is not achieved then Butcher must go.

    The inquest

We may have missed out on Europe but its been a hell of a ride and ive enjoyed every minute of it, The idea of us being high flying in the league was totally surreal therefore left me with no expectations. Just to have been part of it has been a pleasure and despite the outcome of our final game yesterday, the support was no different. A great atmosphere coupled with the party mode that we went into at full time was typical of the support away from home this season. I genuinely thought we would get relegated last summer, if you had said to me we would finish 4th i would have laughed at you ... and probably slapped you too. I wont forget this one for a long time.
  9. As well as Warren and Meekings we have Devine and Cooper pushing through, frankly we dont need him. He is a good defender and would be a great option to have but given the stage of his career and his current circumstances having just returned from injury he needs regular game time and he will not get it here. Good luck to him, its just a pitty he couldnt get more games during his time here.
  10. A bit gutted about Hogg, i thought he might have stayed another season, he's been through a hellish 18 months and it would have been nice to see him play his way back into the first team and return to top form. Hope he makes it though. Apart from the 2 PCA's and Hogg im not too bothered about anyone else, looking forward to seeing who we bring in over pre season.
  11. Never got a fair crack imo, and was persisted with as wide player, a position he never looked comfortable. Good luck to the boy. His goal against Celtic was his defining moment.
  12. Noticed Graham Carey is being released by St Mirren, not sure why he's always looked a really good player, can play midfield and left back and has a knack for screamers, might well be worth a punt.
  13. i actually think Reguero is better than Samson but knowing Shiels he will go with Samson to begin with, im willing to bet Reguero was gonna be joining under the impression that he was number 1, if i were him id be feeling somewhat disgruntled right now.
  14. Will never forget his free kick against Ayr, not many strikes spark a full scale pitch invasion, good luck Gav.
  15. Looks like Samson has rejected Motherwell in favour of Killie, seems like Reguero's chances of being number 1 there have hit a snag.
  16. Rae was off to Australia the moment he joined Aberdeen, said he would play 18 months there then emigrate. Milsom might not be a bad shout, were it not for injury he would probably still be a key player for them, can play anywhere across the middle and at left back.
  17. Id switch Taylor onto the wing and keep Shinnie at left back. Apart from that id be inclined to go with Daniels team.
  18. If Owain was to go wouldnt be a bad shout bringing Lee back.
  19. It has been a great season, given we occupied bottom for most of last season and barely scraped it past Dunfermline to survive we have come a long, long way since then. We have worked ourselves into a great position to get Europe, we might get it, we might not. Either way its still been a hell of a ride with so many great moments to remember, and all this done with what was perceived by many as the weakest side in the league. I will be gutted if we dont make Europe but thinking that alone is messing with my head, people are viewing missing out on Europe as a disappointment, will never get used to that. Never in my wildest dreams would i have predicted us to be in such a high spot in the league. Whether we make Europe or not its still been our best season by far. Proud to be ICT
  20. Just now it has to be 3-3, Roberts mugging off County in added time of added time by scoring with his shaft.
  21. I also heard they have Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor on trial too....cacking my pants as i type
  22. What i cant abide is McInnes defending him. Pawlett has done this on multiple occasions and the only difference on this occasion is the consequences of his actions, it relegated a football club. I hope he gets a banned, fined and the next time someone halfs him i hope its ignored, his reputation will fall before him. This kind of behavior is ruining the game.
  23. Wee bit disappointed about this one, he looked promising. Good luck to him.

    Chris Hogg

I reckon Hogg and Warren are the best 2 centre backs we have when fully fit. Sounds good saying that as we now have the advantage of picking and choosing, Devine has real potential but plenty to learn, Meekings has shown his credentials as a centre back this season but i really rate him as a right back and the fact he set up 2 of the goals on Saturday supports that. No disrespect to Dave the Rave who has been terrific this season but i can see our back 4 next season as being Meekings, Hogg, Warren and Shinnie.

    Chris Hogg

The last 18 months for him must have been a real struggle, mentally and physically but Saturday was his just reward. He was top notch, to jump straight back into the first team like that in what was a pivotal game in our quest for Europe must have been his biggest challenge yet but he battled along with the rest of the lads and got the result. Cant even hold much blame at him for the penalty, the Ojamaa tumble conned Collum once but not twice fortunately. Still plenty to do but if he carries on like that he will cement his place back in the starting line up. Im hoping he will be getting a new contract as well.
