Just wondering, given that given that some our signings havent joined the club yet due to the start date being July 1st, will they be played as trialists tonight?
  2. Welcome aboard Terry. Not a bad record from last season, hoping he gets as many, plus more.
  3. Well we defnitely need a new right back, seems very promising.
  4. For me... A 3rd choice keeper is optional but couldnt hurt. Defensively i think we still need 1, possibly 2 centre halves and defnitely a new right back. In midfield we need someone new to fill the left wing, hoping Doran comes back or this guy Stevenson makes an impression. Maybe another Center midfielder, depending on where Duff gets played next season, assuming he stays with us. Up front i would say defnitely 1 more striker especially with the near inevitable exit of Rooney. I think we should go for someone as proven and as capable that we can find and offer them whatever contract we were set to offer Rooney. Terry has been quoted i think saying he hopes to still make quite a few more signings so i doubt it will just be one or two more coming in.
  5. Its actually 3 signings but your point is a good one. Terry said in the courier he expects to announce more signings next week. Hope there good ones.

Courier confirms that Andrews and Stevenson are training with us, as well as the 2 unidentified gentlemen from down south and are all expected to participate against Clach on Monday.

Would imagine Andrews will be a replacement for Max Johnson. Butcher said he dosent want to lose Tuffey.
  8. I sure hope we can still use it. I enjoyed as my pre match venue.
  9. Id be up for it.
  10. Duff said in the Courier that he is hoping to have a new contract with us sorted out.
  11. He will get absolute dogs abuse at every game he goes to forever. He is tarnished for life and will deservedly suffer whatever abuse is hurled at him...even if he successfully pleaded "not guilty".
  12. Eagle and Stratford may have came with the status of being a 1st Division club but so did Hayes and Cox and they are comfortably competing in the SPL. All i'm saying is his record for signing top 6 players isn't the best. Out of around 20 signings Hayes and Foran are the only ones that stand out for being gems. He's letting players go that are already established at SPL level to bring in players that may play like Stratford, Bulvitis, Sanchez, Odhiambo, Eagle and more importantly Blumstein who was signed to do a job in the SPL and yet failed to deliver big time. I do hope that he does manage to bring in some quality players but to bring in as many as he needs to is certainly going to be hard and i can easily see a few more flops being signed this summer, Tansey and Tade might even be them! Agreed with what your saying about Hayes and Cox but they were an unkown quantity as well when they came in. Your right some have been a complete waste of time with Blumenshtein being the best example. But i will reserve judgement for the new lads this season for when we are a few games in.
  13. Wouldn't have said Kerr was a rubbish signing (awaiting a slagging for that.) Thought he did ok when he came in, but he was no better than Russell say. Stratford and Eagle came with the status of being a 1st Division club and they were rubbish. No manager is going to have an immaculate record of signing players. Ferguson signed Veron, Mourinho signed Kezman, Souness signed Boumsong. There is always going to be duds signed at some point. Thats the way football is. Butcher knows what he's doing.

An unkown quantity but as has been mentioned Terry has a good reputation for bringing in gems from down South. Welcome to ICT Tom.
  15. If i were Duff i would take ICT's offer. He is not likely to get a longer deal or a deal with an SPL club. If he does go then he will be easy to replace imo. I would give Rooney maybe another 10 days. If he does nothing then i would start pursuing other targets. Cant monopolise our plans over him.
  16. Are 1 year deals being offered becuase thats literally the best we can offer? At this rate the only players in contract at the end of next season will be Ross, Shinnie, Sutherland and Morrison.
  17. How old are they? Even i dont type like a wee kid on msn...and imo Seamus Coleman is a better player.
  18. Was watching the Northern Masters football on Sky Sports and noticed Motherwell, Kilmarnock and St Mirren all had a masters team and it got me thinking that we would be more than capable of getting a great team together. Calder, Christie, Wilson, Mann, Wyness, Sheerin, Golie, McBain, Bingham, Ritchie, Keogh, Hastings the list is near endless of a great team we would be able to create, seen alot of those guys playing recently and many of them still play to a capacity and are in great nick. Would be great to see some of them playing alongside each other again.
  19. Agreed with Renegade, but once we get back to pre season, if his mind still isnt made up i think we will have to start looking at other targets. We cant wait for him all summer.
  20. P&J had him down as signed. My bad on the official site.
  21. Not unless the player cancels it himself.
  22. He has stated his intention to sign, that is all. Clubs in England tend to give their players contracts that expire on 30th June and the window opens for them on July 1st so they still hold his registration. sounds like his club are still trying to drum up interest from within England to make him change his mind and sign for a club down there. If he did, they would be due some money. If he bides his time and signs for us, they get nothing. Thanks Scotty, that was the info i wanted.
  23. P & J, Courier and the club themselves seemed to imply that he had signed a pre-contract with us. Once a player enters the final 6 months of his contract he is free to sign a contract with whatever club he wants . However his agent is talking as if Tansey only has a verbal agreement with us so excuse me if im a bit confused. If he has signed a contract with us then I dont really see how the move can be in doubt, it's just a case of waiting for 1st July and Stockport dont really have any grounds to try and flog him to a team down South. But if he hasnt then local papers and the club confirming the signing of Tansey was wrong.
  24. Has he not signed a contract with us?
  25. AJS replied to Alex MacLeod's topic in Caley Thistle
I do find it frustrating at times that they are late in putting out news - especially when it comes to signing players or current players signing contracts. It can be helpful however Nothing is reported by the club unless it happens. Better for buisness imo.
